Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this week:
On May 6, the season finale of The Resident will air at 8 PM on FOX; that same day the series finale of Shadowhunters will air for 2 and ½ hours on Freeform starting at 8 PM and also on May 6, Into the Badlands will air its series finale on AMC at 10 PM.
The HBO original mini-series Chernobyl will also debut on May 6 at 9 PM. This 5-part mini-series dramatizes the 1986 nuclear accident, one of the worst human-made catastrophes in history, telling the story of the brave men and women who made incredible sacrifices to save Europe from unimaginable disaster, all the while battling a culture of disinformation.
On May 7, the season premiere of the OWN drama The Haves and the Have Nots will air at 9 PM.
The 4th season of Lucifer will get underway on Netflix on May 8 and that same night the season finales of Empire and Star will air on FOX at 8 PM and 9 PM respectively.
On May 10, the following shows will air: the 6th season premiere of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air on ABC at 8 PM; MacGyver and Blue Bloods will both air their season finales on CBS at 8 PM and 10 PM respectively; the season finale of Proven Innocent will air on FOX at 9 PM; and the Amazon series Sneaky Pete will air its third season online.
Also on May 10, the Netflix feature film Wine Country will debut online. The film follows a group of friends having a weekend celebration of a 50th birthday. The cast includes Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Rachel Dratch, Emily Spivey, Tina Fey, Jason Schwartzman and Cherry Jones.
The new 10-episode Netflix series The Society will debut online on May 10. The series follow a group of teenagers who are mysteriously transported to a facsimile of their wealthy New England town, but soon discover their parents are nowhere to be found. The series includes Kathryn Newton (Supernatural) and Kristine Froseth (Sierra Burgess Is a Loser).
On May 11, the Hallmark Channel movie A Feeling of Home will debut at 9 PM. Web entrepreneur Abby (Jonna Walsh from Baby Daddy) hides her Texas roots to convince a backer she’s from New England, a task complicated by a trip home and an unexpected reunion with Ryan, her high school sweetheart (Nathan Parsons from Roswell, New Mexico)
The PBS mini-series Unforgotten will air its third season finale on May 12 at 10 PM
Lastly, also on May 12, the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Hailey Dean Mysteries: A Prescription for Murder will debt at 9 PM. Psychologist and former prosecutor Hailey Dean (Kellie Martin) aids her friend Detective Garland Fincher (Viv Leacock) in investigating a rapidly growing string of murders at Atlanta Memorial Hospital when Fincher’s girlfriend Dr. Meghan Phillips is named a suspect in the first killing. As the list of suspects grows with each new victim’s death, Hailey’s keen investigative skills, her uncanny ability to read people, and her passion for justice lead her through a labyrinth of clues that eventually point to the killer. But when she gets too close to the truth, Hailey becomes the killer’s next target for murder.
