On June 29, the Hallmark Channel movie Sister of the Bride will debut at 9 PM.

After only 6 months of dating, Stephanie and Ben (Becca Tobin and Ryan Rottman) get engaged and are delighted to share the news. However, they hit a road bump when Stephanie’s parents show concern that the couple has moved too fast.

The film also stars Michael Gross.

Family Pictures is the latest Lifetime movie that will debut on June 29 at 8 PM.

Sylvie (Justina Machado) and Maggie (Elisabeth Rohm) are two strangers living on opposite coasts, leading very similar lives with husbands that travel for work too much and daughters about to leave the nest. But when their daughters befriend each other on a college tour, they soon discover a shocking secret that threatens to tear both families apart.

Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this week:

On June 24, the new HBO 6-part limited drama Years and Years will debut at 9 PM. The series follows the members of one family as their complex lives converge on one crucial night in 2019, when Britain is rocked by political, economic and technological advances. The cast includes Emma Thompson, Russell Tovey and Rory Kinnear.

Also on June 24, the third season premiere of Legion will air on FX at 10 PM.

The season finale of In the Dark will air on The CW on June 27 at 9 PM.

On June 29, the new TV One movie The Bobby Debarge Story will debut at 8 PM. The film focuses on the talented but tormented singer Bobby Debarge (Roshon Fegan from Shake It Up and Greenleaf), who was part of the group Switch and from the musically-gifted family DeBarge. The film also stars Tyra Ferrell (White Men Can’t Jump) and Big Boi (Outkast).

On June 30, the new Starz drama The Rook will debut at 8 PM. This supernatural spy thriller tells the story of Myfanwy Thomas (Emma Greenwell), a woman who wakes up in the rain beside London’s Millennium Bridge with no memory of who she is and no way to explain the circle of latex-gloved dead bodies splayed around her. When Myfanwy discovers she is a high-ranking official in the Checquy, Britain’s last truly secret service for people with paranormal abilities, she will have to navigate the dangerous and complex world of the agency to uncover who wiped her memory – and why she is a target. The cast includes James D’Arcy, Olivia Munn and Joely Richardson.

Lastly, the 7-part Showtime mini-series The Loudest Voice will debut on June 30 at 10 PM. Based on a bestselling book about Roger Ailes (Russell Crowe), the founder of Fox News, who became the Republican party’s de facto leader, the series touches on defining events in his life, including his experiences with world leaders that gave birth to his political career, and the sexual harassment accusations and settlements that brought his Fox News reign to an end. The ensemble cast includes Naomi Watts, Sienna Miller, Annabelle Wallis, Josh Charles and Seth McFarlane.

RENEWALS

The Paramount Network has given Yellowstone a third season renewal. (Variety)

FX has renewed Pose for a third season. (Variety)

The Danish Netflix original drama The Rain has been renewed for a third and final season). (Variety)

NEW SERIES NEWS

Netflix has walked away with the rights to Tick, Tick…Boom, a musical adaptation to be directed by Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda. The series is set in 1990, telling the story of Jon, an aspiring theater composer who is waiting tables in New York City while writing Superbia, which he hopes will be the next great American musical and finally give him his big break. Jon is also feeling pressure from his girlfriend Susan, who is tired of continuing to put her life on hold for Jon’s career aspirations. Meanwhile, his best friend and roommate Michael, has given up on his creative aspirations for a high paying advertising job on Madison Avenue and is about to move out. As Jon approaches his 30th birthday, he is overcome with anxiety — wondering if his dream is worth the cost. (Variety)

CASTING NEWS

Actress Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) has landed the lead role in the long-gestating Wheel of Time, based on the best-selling fantasy novels by Robert Jordan, for Amazon Studios adaptation, playing Moiraine, a member of the powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai. The series is set in a high fantasy world where magic exists, but only certain women are allowed to access it. The story follows Moiraine as she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, a powerful individual who will either save humanity or destroy it. Once Upon a Time alum Jennifer Morrison will have a major recurring role in season 4 of This Is Us. While her character is being kept under wraps, her character will have a substantial presence on the series. (TV Line)

Lost and Colony alum Josh Holloway will appear in the third season of Yellowstone, playing the major recurring role of Roarke Carter, a handsome, charming, shaggy-haired hedge fund manager with ambitious plans in Montana. (TV Line and Deadline)

Actress Elaine Hendrix (Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll) and actor Silas Weir Mitchell (Grimm) will appear opposite Josh Hartnett and Bridget Regan in the Spectrum Originals and Paramount Network series Paradise Lost, a Southern Gothic mystery series about a psychiatrist (Regan) who moves with her family from California to her husband’s (Hartnett) hometown in Mississippi only to uncover shameful secrets that irrevocably change the lives of everyone involved. Hendrix will play Devoe Shifflet while Mitchell will play Boyd. (Deadline)
