Here is the short list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:

On February 4, the winter premiere of The Flash will air on The CW at 8 PM.

Criminal Minds will air an episode on CBS at the special time of 10 PM on February 5.

On February 6, the season finale of Tell Me A Story will air on CBS All Access.

The new drama Katy Keene, a spin-off from Riverdale, will debut on February 6 at 8 PM on The CW.  The series follows the lives and loves of four iconic Archie Comics characters: fashion legend-to-be Katy Keene (Lucy Hale), singer/songwriter Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray), performer Jorge Lopez/Ginger (Jonny Beauchamp), and “It Girl” Pepper Smith (Julia Chan) – as they chase their twenty-something dreams in New York City.

Also on February 6, the third season of The Sinner will premiere at 9 PM followed by the debut of the new drama Briarpatch at 10 PM on the USA Network. Briarpatch is based on the book by Ross Thomas, Allegra Dill (Rosario Dawson), as a no-nonsense professional who returns to her quirky hometown to solve her sister’s murder. The cast includes Alan Cumming, Ed Asner, Edi Gathegi, Jay R. Ferguson, Kim Dickens and Brian Geraghty.

The new CBS drama Tommy will debut on February 6 at 10 PM. The series will focus on former high-ranking NYPD officer Abigail “Tommy” Thomas (Edie Falco), who becomes the first female Chief of Police for Los Angeles. The show will also star Thomas Sadoski and Adelaide Clemons.

On February 7, MacGyver airs its season premiere on CBS at 8 PM followed by Hawaii Five-0 in its new 9 PM timeslot.

The new Netflix thriller Locke & Key will debut online on February 7. Based on the comics by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez, the long-gestating series revolves around three siblings who, after the gruesome murder of their father, move to their ancestral home in Massachusetts only to find the house has magical keys that give them a vast array of powers and abilities. Little do they know, a devious demon also wants the keys, and will stop at nothing to attain them. The cast includes Connor Jessup, Darby Stanchfield and Sherri Saum.

On February 8, the TV One movie Steppin’ Back to Love will debut at 8 PM. The film chronicles the tumultuous, romantic journey of Derrick (Darrin Henson) and April (Monique Coleman) whose undeniable chemistry led to a sultry, storybook romance filled with a number of dance championships. Over time, external factors force them to take to the dance floor less, when their marriage begins to slide from first position in their lives.

The 92nd Annual Academy Awards will air on ABC on February 9 at 8 PM.

On February 9, the series finale of Power will air on Starz at 8 PM while that same night the 8th season premiere of Homeland will air at 9 PM on Showtime.

Lastly on February 9, the new movie Once Upon a Date will debut on UPtv at 7 PM. When top-notched real estate broker, Josh Donahue, is sent to buy out a local community playhouse, he unexpectedly falls for the owner’s daughter, forcing him to decide between the family business and true love. The movie stars Katrina Bowden, Dean Geyer, Francia Raisa, Titus Makin Jr and James Callis.

The Crown will end after season five with Imelda Staunton starring as Queen Elizabeth. (Variety)

Netflix has cancelled Soundtrack after only one season. (Variety)

EPIX has decided not to renew Perpetual Grace, LTD for a second season. (Deadline)

TV CASTING NEWS

Actress Paget Brewster (Criminal Minds) will have a recurring role on the CBS summer series Blood & Treasure, playing Sister Lisa, a resourceful nun in Rome with a sly sense of humor, who is good friends with Father Chuck Donnelly (Mark Gagliardi). While Father Chuck is on the trail of a mystery, he quickly comes to rely on Sister Lisa for information, as he knows that the Nuns are the eyes and ears of the Church. (Deadline)

Actress Sarah Shahi (Person of Interest) has landed the lead role in the upcoming 8-episode Netflix dramedy Sex/Life, which is the story of a love triangle between a woman, Billie Connelly (Shahi), her husband, and her past which takes a deliciously steamy new look at female identity and desire. Billie is a woman with everything to lose, a suburban mother of two who goes in search of that sexy, single girl in the city she used to be ten years ago. She takes a fantasy-charged trip down memory lane that sets her very married present on a collision course with her wild-child past. (Deadline)

Actor David Krumholtz (Numb3rs) will star opposite Milo Ventimiglia (This Is Us) in the USA Network limited series Evel, based on the larger-than-life ‘70s daredevil Evel Knievel. Ventimiglia stars as the title character while Krumholtz will play Bob Arum, a Brooklyn-born boxing promoter and businessman who becomes both Evel Knievel’s adversary and best friend after Evel hires him to promote his infamous Snake River Canyon jump. (Deadline)

Actress Rose Bryne (Damages and X-Men franchise) is set to appear in the Apple TV streaming series Physical that is expected to receive a series order. The series is set in a 1980s Southern California beach community, where a woman (Byrne) struggling in her life as a quietly tortured housewife who finds an unconventional path to power through an unlikely source: the world of aerobics. (Deadline)

Actress Margarita Levieva (Revenge) will star in the Netflix spy thriller with a supernatural bent In From the Cold. During a European vacation with her daughter, an American single mom’s (Levieva) life is turned upside down when the CIA forces her to confront her long-buried past as a Russian spy who was also the product of a highly classified KGB experiment granting her special abilities. After a mysterious string of manic and murderous incidents suggests someone with her exact abilities is targeting innocent people, Jenny is forced out of hiding to stop this villain or risk losing the family and new life she has built. (Deadline)

Actress Shoshannah Stern (Supernatural and Jericho) will guest star in an upcoming episode of Grey’s Anatomy, playing Dr. Lauren Riley, a diagnostics expert who helps DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) with a supposedly “incurable” patient. (TV Line)

Actress Scottie Thompson (who recurred as Jeanne Benoit on NCIS) will guest star in an upcoming episode of NCIS: Los Angeles, playing Sarah Raines, an agent for the Defense Intelligence Agency who is working on a highly classified mission to investigate unidentified aerial phenomena sightings. Actress Marcia Gay Harden (Code Black) will guest star in an upcoming episode of A Milion Little Things as Gary’s (James Roday) estranged mother Alice, who left a few months after his 7th birthday. (TV Line)

MOVIE CASTING NEWS

Actress Bella Thorne (Famous in Love and Midnight Sun) will star in the upcoming post-apocalyptic thriller The Uncanny that presents a future where every citizen is implanted with a chip capable of controlling everything from emotions to directions, until a routine update backfires, causing a cyber apocalypse. Wiping out most of humanity, five strangers miraculously survive, now forced to live hidden in a bunker with their implants ripped from their spines. They were the few lucky enough to survive – until Scarlet (Thorne) begins to suspect they were not saved at all, or by chance. (Deadline)
