Archive for June, 2020

Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:

On June 1, the two-hour season finale of The Baker and the Beauty will air on ABC at 9 and 10 PM; that same night, the season finale of Almost Paradise will air on WGN America at 10 PM.

The season finale of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will air on June 2 at 9 PM on The CW.

Also on June 2, the anthology series Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story will debut on the USA Network at 9 PM and then making its timeslot premiere at 10 PM. The 8-part series will span the 1960s through the 1980s, focusing on Betty Broderick (Amanda Peet), the perfect Southern California blonde wife and mother, who was married to her handsome college boyfriend Dan (Christian Slater). Betty charms everyone she meets. After years of sacrifice and suffering while supporting Dan through both medical and law school until he exploded into the San Diego legal community as a superstar, Betty is finally enjoying the fruits of their labors. That is, until Dan hires Linda, a bright, beautiful young woman without baggage with whom he can happily forget the struggles of his past. Betty’s attempts to fight back and enraged refusals to accept reality only serve to isolate and destabilize her until she loses her very identity. And Dan’s cold confidence blinds him to the bear he has created, and won’t stop poking until it’s too late.

Vagrant Queen will air its season finale on Syfy on June 4 at 11 PM.

On June 5, the fourth and final season of 13 Reasons Why will air on Netflix.

The new Cinemax drama Trackers will debut on June 5 at 10 PM. This series is an adaptation of internationally acclaimed crime novel by author Deon Meyer that deftly interweaves three story strands into a sophisticated action-packed thriller that covers the length and breadth of South Africa, explosively colliding in Cape Town in a violent conspiracy involving organized crime, smuggled diamonds, state security, black rhinos, the CIA and an international terrorist plot.

On June 6, the season finale of Frankie Drake Mysteries will air on Ovation at 7 PM.

The Hallmark Channel movie Country at Heart will debut on June 6 at 9 PM. Struggling musician Shayna (Jessy Schram) is on the verge of giving up on her career and returns to her small-town home, when a chance encounter with prolific songwriter Grady (Niall Matter) changes everything. He’s writing a song for country music star Duke Sterling (Lucas Bryant) and Shayna seems like the perfect writing partner. The two grow closer and romance blooms as they work on their love song, but when Shayna meets Duke, who takes a liking to her and asks her to be his opening act, it undermines everything she and Grady created and Shayna feels forced to choose between love and possible stardom.

Lastly on June 7, the UPtv movie How Not to Propose will debut at 7 PM. Travis plans the perfect romantic getaway to propose to longtime love Lena. As the carefully orchestrated weekend comically fails to go as planned, Travis may not get the answer he’s looking for. The cast includes Kayla Ewell, Ryan Merriman, Timothy Bottoms and Kathleen Quinlan.

Mark your calendars!
