Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:
On July 8, the limited series Stateless will debut on Netflix. The paths of four diverse strangers intersect at an immigration detention center in the Australian outback. The cast includes Cate Blanchett. (who also co-created) as well as Dominic West, Jai Courtney and Yvonne Strahovski.
The finale of Burden of Truth will air on The CW on July 9 at 8 PM followed by the season finale of In the Dark at 9 PM.
On July 10, the box office movie Greyhound will debut on the small screen courtesy of Apple TV. U.S. Navy Commander Ernest Krause (Tom Hanks) is assigned to lead an Allied convoy across the Atlantic during World War II. His convoy, however, is pursued by German U-boats. Although this is Krause’s first wartime mission, he finds himself embroiled in what would come to be known as the longest, largest and most complex naval battle in history: The Battle of the Atlantic. The cast includes Elizabeth Shue, Stephen Graham, Rob Morgan and Tom Brittney [among others].
The Cinemax drama Trackers will air its season finale at 10 PM on July 10.
Also on July 10, the movie The Old Guard will debut online on Netflix. A group of mercenaries, all centuries-old immortals with the ablity to heal themselves, discover someone is onto their secret, and they must fight to protect their freedom. Among the cast is Charlize Theron, KiKi Layne, Matthias Schoenaerts, Chiewetel Ejiofor and Harry Melling (Dudley from Harry Potter fame).
The new Apple TV half-hour drama Little Voice will debut online on July 10. Bess King (Brittany O’Grady from FOX’s Star) is a uniquely talented, but stage-shy, performer struggling to fulfill her dreams while navigating rejection, love and complicated family issues. The cast includes Sean Teale (The Gifted) and Colton Ryan (Broadway’s Girl From The North Country). The series comes from J.J. Abrams with original music by Waitress writer team Sara Bareilles and Jessie Nelson.
The UPtv movie Love in Harmony Valley will also debut on July 12 at 7 PM. Emma (Amber Marshall) has waited to reunite with her best friend Tracey (Nina Kiri) since she was in a serious accident. But Will (Eric Hicks), Tracey’s brother, won’t allow it, blaming her for the accident. When forced to work together, can Will and Emma learn to respect each other?
Lastly, on July 12, the new Starz drama Hightown will air its season finale at 8 PM and that same night the two-hour season finale of Snowpiercer will air on TNT at 9 PM.
