Once again, last night’s primetime line-up on the major networks was filled with reality and repeats along with two Wednesday night dramas airing new episodes.

The HBO 8-episode new drama We Are Who We Are will debut on September 14 at 10 PM

The series tells the story of two American kids (Jack Dylan Grazer from the box office movie Shazam! and newcomer Jordan Kristine Seamon), who live on a U.S. military base in Italy, the series explores friendship, first-love, identity, and immerses the audience in all the messy exhilaration and anguish of being a teenager.

The drama also stars Alice Braga and Chloe Sevigny.

On September 14, the 6-episode limited drama The Third Day will debut on HBO at 9 PM.

The first three episodes are called “Summer” and the latter three episodes are called “Winter.”

Jude Law stars in “Summer” as Sam, a man who is drawn to a mysterious island off the British coast where he encounters a group of islanders set on preserving their traditions at any cost. Isolated from the mainland, Sam is unable to leave the idyllic and dangerously enchanting world he has discovered, where the secretive rituals of its inhabitants bring him to grapple with experiences of loss and trauma hidden in his past through the distorted lens of the present.

As boundaries between fantasy and reality fragment, his quest to unlock the truth leads the islanders to reveal a shocking secret. In “Winter” Naomie Harris (from the box office film Moonlight) as Helen, a strong-willed outsider who comes to the island seeking answers, but whose arrival precipitates a fractious battle to decide its fate as the lines between fantasy and fact are distorted.

The series also stars Katherine Waterston and Emily Watson.

On September 13, the UPtv movie Same Time Next Week will debut at 7 PM.

When widow Christy (Jewel Staite from Firefly and Stargate: Atlantis) meets widower Charlie (Travis Milne from Rookie Blue), they find that they have a lot more in common than their lost loved ones. Their friendship turns to romance as they each struggle to let go of the past and give love a second chance.

The cast includes Chris McNally (When Calls the Heart).

Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:

On September 9, all of the 13 episodes of the second season of L.A.’s Finest will air on Spectrum Originals (for those who have Spectrum cable service).

The new Netflix series Julie and the Phantoms will debut online on September 10. Teenager Julie (Madison Reyes) finds her passion for music and life while helping the Phantoms — a trio of ghostly guys (Charlie Gillespie, Jeremy Shada and Owen Patrick Joyner) — become the band they were never able to be. The cast includes Booboo Stewart, Carlos Ponce and Cheyenne Jackson.

On September 12, the 4-part mini-series Secret State will debut on Ovation at 7 PM. Based on the Chris Mullins novel, the mini-series explores the relationship between a democratically elected government, big business, and the banks. Gabriel Byrne (The Usual Suspects) stars as Deputy Prime Minister Tom Dawkins, who’s thrust to the fore by catastrophic events, and ends up forced to take on the might of the Establishment. Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) stars as John Hodder MP, the Chief Whip, while Ruth Negga (Preacher) stars as intelligence analyst Agnes Evans.

We Hunt Together will air its season finale on Showtime on September 13 at 10 PM.

Lastly, also on September 13, the UPtv movie Same Time Next Week will debut at 7 PM.
