It’s fall and that normally means lots of new and returning shows hitting the airwaves, but – as we all know – the Coronavirus has impended all of that. However, there have been plenty of cable dramas to watch as well as made-for-TV movies; and it’s time to have a look at the past two months worth of cable ratings.

Let’s take a look at the ratings for the dramas first:

CABLE DRAMAS

MONDAYS:

The Third Day – The limited series debuted on HBO on September 14, airing 3 episodes in September and 3 episodes in October. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 14 – 207,000 viewers (DEBUT)
September 21 – 183,000 viewers
September 28 – 144,000 viewers
October 5 – 106,000 viewers
October 12 – 167,000 viewers
October 19 – 174,000 viewers (Finale)

This averages out to 164,000 viewers for that time period. The Third Day was a limited series with no plans by HBO for a second season.

We Are Who We Are – The new drama also debuted on HBO on September 14, airing 3 episodes in September, 4 episodes in October and its final episode on November 2. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 14 – 117,000 viewers (DEBUT)
September 21 – 90,000 viewers
September 28 – 62,000 viewers
October 5 – 60,000 viewers
October 12 – 49,000 viewers
October 19 – 50,000 viewers
October 26 – 92,000 viewers
November 2 – 58,000 viewers (Finale)

This averages out to 72,000 viewers for that time period. HBO has yet to renew We Are Who We Are for a second season

Soulmates – The new AMC drama debuted on October 5, airing 4 episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

October 5 – 245,000 viewers (DEBUT)
October 12 – 258,000 viewers
October 19 – 164,000 viewers
October 26 – 176,000 viewers

This averages out to 211,000 viewers for October. A new episode of Soulmates aired on November 2 with the finale set to air on AMC on Monday, November 9 at 10 PM.

TUESDAYS:

The Haves and the Have Nots – The long-running OWN soap opera aired 4 episodes during September and 4 episodes during October. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 1 – 1.1 million viewers
September 8 – 1.2 million viewers
September 15 – 1.3 million viewers
September 22 – 1.2 million viewers
October 6 – 1.1 million viewers
October 13 – 1.1 million viewers
October 20 – 1.2 million viewers
October 27 – 1.1 million viewers (Mid-Season Finale)

This averages out to 1.2 million viewers for that time period. The Haves and the Have Nots will return to OWN with new episodes from its 8th season on November 24.

WEDNESDAYS:

There were no cable dramas airing on Wednesdays in September or October.

THURSDAYS:

There were no cable dramas airing on Wednesdays in September or October.

FRIDAYS:

800 Words – The popular Australian family drama aired new episodes from its second season: four during September and five during October. The ratings, that could be tracked down, for those episodes are as follows:

September 4 – No ratings could be tracked down
September 11 – 187,000 viewers
September 18 – 143,000 viewers
September 25 – 167,000 viewers
October 2 – 124,000 viewers
October 9 – 93,000 viewers
October 16 – 84,000 viewers
October 23 – 78,000 viewers
October 30 – 94,000 viewers

This averages out to 121,000 viewers for that time period. A new episode of 800 Words aired on November 6 with the next episode set to air on UPtv on Friday, November 13 at 7 PM.

Warrior – The Cinemax drama premiered its second season on October 2, airing four episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

October 2 – 67,000 viewers (Season Premiere)
October 9 – 73,000 viewers
October 16 – 48,000 viewers
October 23 – 78,000 viewers
October 30 – 93,000 viewers

This averages out to 72,000 viewers for October. A new episode of Warrior aired on November 6 with the next episode set to air on Cinemax on Friday, November 13 at 10 PM.

SATURDAYS:

Secret State – The 2012 British mini-series debuted on Ovation starting on September 12, airing 3 episodes during September and the finale on October 3. The ratings, that could be tracked down, for those episodes are as follows:

September 12 – 82,000 viewers (DEBUT, Part 1 of 4)
September 19 – No ratings could be tracked down
September 26 – No ratings could be tracked down
October 3 – 69,000 viewers (Finale, Part 4 of 4)

This averages out to approximately 76,000 viewers for that time period. This was a 4-part mini-series that aired in 2012, and no further stories were told.

The Fall – The 5-part 2013 series debuted on Ovation starting on October 10, airing 4 episodes during October with its finale set to air on November 7. The ratings for the premiere episode, which earned 119,000 viewers, was the only rating that could be tracked down.

SUNDAYS:

Lovecraft Country – The HBO horror series aired 4 episodes in September and the final 3 episodes in October. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 6 – 630,000 viewers
September 13 – 744,000 viewers
September 20 – 737,000 viewers
September 27 – 755,000 viewers
October 4 – 627,000 viewers
October 11 – 671,000 viewers
October 18 – 881,000 viewers (Finale)

This averages out to 721,000 viewers for that time period. HBO has yet to renew Lovecraft Country for a second season.

We Hunt Together – The new Showtime crime drama aired the final two episodes in September. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 6 – 126,000 viewers
September 13 – 110,000 viewers (Finale)

This averages out to 118,000 viewers for September. Showtime has yet to renew We Hunt Together for a second season.

Power Book II: Ghost – The spin-off series debuted on September 6, airing 4 episodes in September and the mid-season finale on October 4. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 6 – 680,000 viewers (DEBUT)
September 13 – 564,000 viewers
September 20 – 535,000 viewers
September 27 – 566,000 viewers
October 4 – 593,000 viewers (Mid-Season Finale)

This averages out to 588,000 viewers for that time period. The second half of the debut season of Power Book II: Ghost will return to Starz in December.

Fargo – The anthology series aired its two-hour season premiere of its fourth season on September 27, and aired 4 episodes during October. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

September 27 – 1.2 million viewers (Season Premiere, Hour 1)
September 27 – 788,000 viewers (Season Premiere, Hour 2)
October 4 – 719,000 viewers
October 11 – 764,000 viewers
October 18 – 738,000 viewers
October 25 – 703,000 viewers

This averages out to 819,000 viewers for that time period. A new episode of Fargo aired on November 1 with the next new episode set to air on FX on Sunday, November 8 at 10 PM.

The Good Lord Bird – The period piece drama debuted on Showtime on October 4, airing 4 episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

October 4 – 251,000 viewers (DEBUT)
October 11 – 254,000 viewers
October 18 – 182,000 viewers
October 25 – 235,000 viewers

This averages out to 231,000 viewers for October. A new episode of The Good Lord Bird aired on November 1 with the next new episode set to air on Showtime on Sunday, November 8 at 9 PM.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond – The new spin-off series debuted on AMC on October 4, airing 4 episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

October 4 – 1.6 million viewers (DEBUT)
October 11 – 1 million viewers
October 18 – 1 million viewers
October 25 – 1 million viewers

This averages out to 1.2 million viewers for October. A new episode of The Walking Dead: World Beyond aired on November 1 with the next new episode set to air on AMC on Sunday, November 8 at 10 PM.

Fear the Walking Dead – The zombie series returned for the season premiere of its 6th season on October 11, airing 3 episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

October 11 – 1.6 million viewers (Season Premiere)
October 18 – 1.6 million viewers
October 25 – 1.5 million viewers

This averages out to 1.6 million viewers for October. A new episode of Fear the Walking Dead aired on November 1 with the next new episode set to air on AMC on Sunday, November 8 at 9 PM.

The Spanish Princess – The second season of the period drama aired its premiere episode on Starz on October 11, airing 3 episodes during the month. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

October 11 – 252,000 viewers (Season Premiere)
October 18 – 173,000 viewers
October 25 – 180,000 viewers

This averages out to 202,000 viewers for October. A new episode of The Spanish Princess aired on November 1 with the next new episode set to air on Starz on Sunday, November 8 at 9 PM.

The Walking Dead – The delayed season ten season finale finally aired on October 4, earning 2.7 million viewers. The Walking Dead will return for an 11th season on AMC sometime next year.

Van der Valk – The popular mystery series aired its three episodes during September, but ratings could not be tracked down. Van der Valk has been renewed for a second season, but an airdate on PBS has yet to be announced.

The Trouble with Maggie Cole – The 6-episode comedic drama debuted on PBS on October 18, airing two episodes during the month, but ratings could not be tracked down. A new episode of The Trouble with Maggie aired on November 1 with the next new episode set to air on AMC on Sunday, November 8 at 8 PM.

Cobra – The 6-episode drama debuted on PBS on October 4, but ratings could not be tracked down. A new episode of Cobra aired on November 1 with its final episode set to air on AMC on Sunday, November 8 at 10 PM.

Flesh and Blood – The 4-episode series debuted on PBS on October 4, but ratings could not be tracked down. There is no word if there will be a second season of Flesh and Blood.

Britannia – The fantasy series aired the final three episodes of its first season on EPIX during September; and then aired the first four episodes of its second season during October. Unfortunately, no ratings could be tracked down for those episodes. A new episode of Britannia aired on November 1 with the next new episode set to air on Sunday, November 8 at 8 PM.

MADE-FOR-TV MOVIES AND MINI-SERIES

There were 26 made-for-TV movies that aired during September and October along with one limited series that aired in September.

Here are the ratings for the one limited series that aired in September:
