CASTING NEWS FOR TV AND MOVIES

Actor-Comedian John Bishop has joined the cast of Doctor Who where he will play Dan, who joins Yaz and the Doctor on the TARDIS, traveling through space and time. (Deadline)

Actor Kelvin Harrison Jr. has been cast in the upcoming Baz Luhrmann box office film Elvis that will star Austin Butler in the title role. Harrison will play legendary blues musician B.B. King. Tom Hanks is set to play Colonel Tom Parker. The film delves into the complex dynamic between Presley and the enigmatic Parker spanning over 20 years, from Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America.
