Ratings: Spring TV (Tuesday, April 20)

Because of the verdict announcement in the Derek Chauvin case, many of the Tuesday night dramas that were to air new episodes last night on the major networks either didn’t air or repeats were aired instead. However, five Tuesday night dramas did air new episodes along with some reality programming and a few comedies.

Here is how those five Tuesday night dramas fared in the overall ratings last week:

8 PM Show:
The Resident (FOX) [NEW] – 3.3 million viewers

9 PM Shows:
Prodigal Son (FOX) [NEW – Return] – 2 million viewers
Supergirl (The CW) [NEW] – 535,000 viewers

10 PM Shows:
New Amsterdam (NBC) [NEW] – 3.5 million viewers
Big Sky (ABC) [NEW] – 2.9 million viewers

Movie of the Week Recommendation: Designed With Love

On April 25, the UPtv movie Designed With Love will debut at 7 PM.

Clothes designer Skye (Kelly Van Der Burg) goes mobile with a “fashion truck” – but she can’t drive the truck and run the business alone. It was a full night of programming on the major networks last night with reality, comedies and new episodes of six Monday night dramas and the return of two other Monday night dramas.

Here is how those eight Monday night dramas fared in the overall ratings last week:

Movie of the Week Recommendation: Mortal Kombat

The HBO Max movie Mortal Kombat will debut online on April 23.

Why has Outworld’s emperor sent his best warrior, Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim), to hunt down MMA fighter Cole Young (Lewis Tan)? In search of answers, Cole finds his way to the temple of Lord Raiden (Tadanobu Asano) and begins unlocking the secrets of his heritage. As Outworld’s threat to Earthrealm grows, Cole joins warriors Liu Kang (Ludi Lin), Kung Lao (Max Huang), and Kano (Josh Lawson) in a high stakes battle for the soul of the universe.

The cast includes Hiroyuki Sanada, Jessica McNamee and Mehcad Brooks.
