On January 14, the movie The Tragedy of Macbeth will debut online on Apple TV+.

After being convinced by three witches, a Scottish lord (Denzel Washington) sets out to become the King of Scotland.

The cast includes Frances McDormand, Corey Hawkins, Brendan Gleeson, Moses Ingram, Sean Patrick Thomas and Stephen Root.

The animated film Hotel Transylvania: Transformania will air online on Amazon on January 14.

When Van Helsing’s (Jim Gaffigan) mysterious invention, the “Monsterfication Ray”, goes haywire, Drac (Brian Hull, who replaces Adam Sandler) and his monster pals are all transformed into humans, and Johnny (Andy Samberg) becomes a monster!

In their new mismatched bodies, Drac, stripped of his powers, and an exuberant Johnny, loving life as a monster, must team up and race across the globe to find a cure before it’s too late, and before they drive each other crazy. With help from Mavis and the hilariously human Drac Pack, the heat is on to find a way to switch themselves back before their transformations become permanent.

Other voices will be provided by Selena Gomez, Fran Descher, Kathryn Hahn, Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon, David Spade and Keegan-Michael Key.

On January 14, Ray Donovan: The Movie will debut on Showtime at 9 PM

The film picks up where season seven left off, with Mickey (Jon Voight), in the wind and Ray (Liev Schreiber) determined to find and stop him before he can cause any more carnage. It will also weave together the present-day fallout from the Donovan/Sullivan feud with Ray and Mickey’s origin story from 30 years ago.

Here is the long list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:

On January 11, Our Kind of People will be back from its winter break on FOX at 9 PM.

The season premiere of Superman & Lois will air on January 11 on The CW at 8 PM followed by the debut of the new drama Naomi at 9 PM. The series Naomi, based on the DC characters, the series follows the journey of a cool, confident, comic book-loving teenager (relative newcomer Kaci Walfall) as she pursues her hidden destiny. When a supernatural event shakes her small hometown of Port Oswego, Naomi sets out to uncover its origins, with a little help from her fiercely loyal best friend Annabelle (Mary-Charles Jones from Kevin Can Wait). The cast includes Barry Watson (7th Heaven) and Mouzam Makkar (The Vampire Diaries).

On January 12, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman will be back from their winter breaks on The CW at 8 and 9 PM respectively.

The HBO Max drama Peacemaker will debut online on January 13. John Cena returns as Peacemker, a compellingly vainglorious man, who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it. The cast includes Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Robert Patrick, Christopher Heyerdahl and Lochlyn Munro.

On January 13, the Netflix movie Brazen will debut online. Alyssa Milano (Charmed) stars as Grace, a prominent mystery writer and crime expert who heads to Washington DC after her estranged sister summons her only to find out that her sister was killed and lead a double life as a webcam performer. Grace ignores the warnings of cool-headed detective Ed (Sam Page) and gets involved in the case. Based on the Nora Roberts novel Brazaen Virtue.

Walker will return with new episodes starting on January 13 on The CW at 8 PM; while that same night the season finale of Station Eleven will air online on HBO Max.

The UPtv movie Fishing For Love will debut on January 16 at 7 PM. Talented chef Courtney Preston’s (Andrea Brooks) life is turned upside down after the death of her father. Armed with a family heirloom her father left behind called the “Rule Book of Love,” Courtney’s passion for cooking is reignited as she finds love in a place she least expects. Spencer Lord co-stars.

Lastly, also on January 16, the season finale of Yellowjackets will air on Showtime at 10 PM; and that same night, the third season of Britannia will premiere on EPIX at 9 PM.

Amazon has canceled the series I Know What You Did Last Summer after only one season. (Variety)

The reboot of All Creatures Great and Small has been renewed for a third AND fourth season by PBS Masterpiece. (Variety)

TV CASTING NEWS

Prominent Pakistani actor Humayun Saeed will play Dr. Hasnat Khan in season 5 of The Crown. (Variety)

Apple has ordered the limited series Manhunt, which will tell the story of the hunt for U.S President Abraham Lincoln’s assassin, John Wilkes Booth. Tobias Menzies (Outlander and The Crown) will star as Edwin Stanton, Lincoln’s War Secretary and friend, who was driven nearly to madness by the need to catch Booth and to carry out Lincoln’s legacy. Rita Wilson will guest star in an upcoming episode of 1883 on Paramount+. She will playCarolyn, a storekeeper at Doan’s Crossing who helps Margaret (Faith Hill) decompress with some whiskey punch. (Variety)

Three additions have been made to season 2 of Kung Fu in heavily recurring roles. Newcomer Vanessa Yao will play Mia, Nicky’s (series lead Olivia Liang) cousin, the daughter of Nicky’s deceased Aunt Mei-Xue; Annie Q. (The Leftovers) will play Juliette Tan, the clever and conniving daughter of powerful business mogul, Russell Tan; and JB Tadena (SEAL Team) will play Sebastian, Harmony Dumplings’ talented and charming new chef, who steps into the lurch as the restaurant’s newfound success threatens to swallow up Jin and Mei-Li. BOX OFFICE CASTING NEWS

Kelvin Harrison Jr. (Cyrano) will play American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat in the biographical film Samo Lives that will celebrate the life, career and impact of the groundbreaking New York-born, Haitian-Puerto Rican American artist whose seminal paintings and street art defined the Neo-expressionism arts movement of the 1980s. Rooney Mara (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) will star as iconic actress Audrey Hepburn in the Apple biopic. (Variety)

Vanessa Kirby (The Crown and Pieces of a Woman) will take over for Jodie Comer (Killing Eve) in the Ridley Scott film Kitbag that will center on French military leader Napoleon Bonaparte, which is set up at Apple. Joaquin Phoenix will play Bonaparte while Kirby will play Josephine. (The Hollywood Reporter)
