Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:
On April 11, The Endgame returns with new episodes starting tonight on NBC at 10 PM.
The season finale of The Thing About Pam will air on NBC on April 12 at 10:01 PM.
On April 15, the Netflix anthology series Anatomy of a Scandal will debut online. The 6-episode limited series focuses on powerful politician James Whitehouse (Rupert Friend) and how the privileged life of his wife Sophie Whitehouse (Sienna Miller) unravels when scandalous secrets surface, and he stands accused of a shocking crime. The cast includes Downton Abbey alum Michelle Dockery.
The new Amazon drama Outer Range will debut online on April 15. The series centers on Royal Abbott (Josh Brolin), a rancher fighting for his land and family, who discovers an unfathomable mystery at the edge of Wyoming’s wilderness. This thrilling Western examines how we grapple with the unknown. At the onset of the series, the Abbotts are coping with the disappearance of daughter-in-law Rebecca. They are pushed further to the brink when the Tillersons (the gaudy owners of the neighboring profit-driven ranch) make a play for their land. The cast includes Will Patton, Lili Taylor, Shaun Sipos and Imogen Poots.
On April 15, the new female-driven 8-episode anthology series Roar will debut online on Apple TV+. Based on the short stories by Cecelia Ahern, the series offers an insightful, poignant, and sometimes hilarious portrait of what it means to be a woman today. It will feature a unique blend of magical realism, familiar domestic and professional scenarios, and futuristic worlds. Among the cast are Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, Cynthia Erivo, Issa Rae, Merrit Wever and Nicole Kidman.
The Roku Channel original drama Swimming with Sharks will debut online on April 15. The 6-episode thriller depicts the intense relationship between an arrogant film studio boss, Joyce Holt (Diane Kruger), and a lowly assistant, Lou Simms (Kiernan Shipka).
On April 16, the Hallmark Channel movie Love, Classified will debut at 8 PM. Romance novelist Emilia (Melora Hardin) is a whirlwind who blows back into the lives of her adult children, Taylor (Katherine McNamara) and Zach (Max Lloyd-Jones), under the pretense of a book signing arranged by her hometown’s local book shop. As Emilia tries to reconnect, Taylor and Zach explore new and past relationships through an app that boasts old-fashioned human connection by way of the classified ad. Zach is given a chance to heal old wounds while Taylor matches with a woman that changes the way she’s always thought about love.
The spring premiere of Fear the Walking Dead will air on AMC+ online on April 17; while that same night, the series finale of Killing Eve will air on BBC America at 8 PM. Also on April 17, the season finale of Power Book IV: Force will air on Starz at 8 PM and that same night the spring premiere of Fear the Walking Dead will air on AMC at 9 PM.
On April 17, the movie Faith, Hope & Love will debut on UPtv at 7 PM. Recent divorcee Faith enters a dance contest to save her dance studio, where she meets Jimmy Hope and rediscovers her faith, and dreams. The film stars Peta Murgatroyd and Robert Krantz.
Doctor Who: Legends of the Sea Devils will debut on BBC America on April 17 at 7 PM (check your local listings for exact air time). This special presentation finds the Doctor (Jodie Whittaker), Yaz (Mandip Gill) and Dan (John Bishop) in 19th century China, where a small coastal village is under threat – from both the fearsome pirate queen Madame Ching (Crystal Yu) and a monstrous alien force which she unwittingly unleashes.
On April 17, the debut of 10-episode series The First Lady will air on Showtime at 9 PM. This new drama is a revelatory reframing of American leadership, told through the lens of the women at the heart of the White House. Gillian Anderson will play Eleanor Roosevelt, Michelle Pfeiffer as Betty Ford, Viola Davis as Michelle Obama, Ellen Burstyn as Sara Delano Roosevelt, Regina Taylor as Marian Shields Robinson, Lily Rabe as Lorena “Hick” Hickok, Kate Mulgrew as Susan Sher, Judy Greer as Nancy Howe and Dakota Fanning as Susan Elizabeth Ford. Also starring are Aaron Eckhart as Gerald Ford, Jackie Earle Haley as Louis McHenry Howe, O-T Fagbenle as Barack Obama and Keifer Sutherland as Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Lastly also on April 17, the movie Small Group will debut on UPtv at 9 PM. A documentary filmmaker infiltrates a small church group to document how imperfect people live for Christ. When his producer gets angry and exposes him to the church, the director has to deal with the repercussions. The film stars Matt Chastain, Derrick Gilliam, Emily Dunlop and Sterling Hurst.
