On May 5, the HBO Max limited series The Staircase will debut online.
Based on a true story, the series will explore the life of Michael Peterson (Colin Firth), his sprawling North Carolina family and the suspicious death of his wife, Kathleen Peterson (Toni Collette).
The cast includes Juliette Binoche, Sophie Turner, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tim Guinee, Dane DeHaan, Parker Posey, Rosemarie DeWitt and Michael Sthulbarg.
