FOX has finally released their proposed fall schedule, along with premiere dates. The schedule to that follows includes the shows that have been picked up and new shows that will debut in the fall, as well as what will air mid-season.

As usual, I will primarily be focusing on the returning and new dramas.

The expected fall line-up for FOX is as follows: (please note this schedule could change):

SUNDAY [Starting September 11]
8 pm Monarch [NEW] (Series Premiere) [After NFL Double-Header]

This series is a Texas-sized, multigenerational musical drama about America’s first family of country music. The Romans are headed by the insanely talented, but tough as nails Queen of Country Music Dottie Cantrell Roman (Susan Sarandon). Along with her beloved husband, Albie (country artist Trace Atkins), Dottie has created a country music dynasty. But even though the Roman name is synonymous with authenticity, the very foundation of their success is a lie. And when their reign as country royalty is put in jeopardy, heir to the crown Nicolette “Nicky” Roman (Anna Friel from Pushing Daisies) will stop at nothing to protect her family’s legacy, while ensuring her own quest for stardom. The cast includes Josh Sasse (Galavant and the Hallmark Channel movie Her Pen Pal).

MONDAY [Starting September 19]
8 PM – 9-1-1
9 PM – The Cleaning Lady

TUESDAY [Starting September 20]
8 pm The Resident
9 pm Monarch (Regular Time Slot Premiere)

WEDNESDAY [Starting September 21]
8 PM – The Masked Singer
9 PM – LEGO Masters

THURSDAY [Starting September 29]
8 PM – Hell’s Kitchen
9 PM – Welcome to Flatch (New Timeslot)
9:30 PM – Call Me Kat (New Timeslot)

FRIDAY
8 PM – Friday Night SmackDown

SUNDAY [Starting September 25]
8 PM – The Simpsons
8:30 PM – The Great North
9 PM – Bob’s Burgers
9:30 PM – Family Guy

The dramas Fantasy Island and 9-1-1: Lone Star will be held back until mid-season along with the new dramas Accused and Alert.

NOTE: Fantasy Island was to air this summer, and then it was bumped to the fall and now it’s been moved to mid-season of 2023.

Accused – The anthology drama opens in a courtroom with a defendant being accused of a crime, then backtracks to reveal how these people got caught up in the extraordinary situations in which they find themselves. Each season will focus on a different crime. The actors who will be seen in the show include Michael Chiklis, Jill Hennessy, Whitney Cummings, Abigail Breslin, Aisha Dee, Oakes Fegley and Robert Wisdom

Alert – This is a character-driven police procedural about the LAMPU — the Los Angeles Police Department’s missing person’s unit. When police officer Nikki Parker’s son goes missing, she joins the LAPD’s Missing Person’s Unit to help other people find their loved ones, even as she searches for her own. Six years later, her world is turned upside-down when her ex-husband, Devon Zoellner, shows up with a proof-of-life photo of their missing boy. Or is it? The cast has yet to be announced.

Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:

The season premieres of the final seasons of Roswell, New Mexico and In the Dark will air on The CW on June 6 at 8 and 9 PM respectively.

Also on June 6, the HBO drama Irma Vep will debut at 9 PM. Mira (Alicia Vikander from the Tomb Raider remake) is an American movie star disillusioned by her career and a recent breakup, who comes to France to star as “Irma Vep” in a remake of the French silent film classic, “Les Vampires.” The cast includes Adria Arjona (Good Omens) and Tom Sturridge (Sweetbitter and the upcoming series The Sandman).

The former CBS legal drama All Rise will premiere its third season on OWN at 8 PM on June 7.

On June 8, the Disney+ drama Ms. Marvel will debut online. Newcomer Iman Vellani stars as Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City, who is an avid gamer, a voracious fan-fiction scribe and a superhero mega fan with an oversized imagination – particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. She feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home; that is until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to.

The reboot of Queer as Folk will debut on Peacock online on June 9. This is a vibrant reimagining of the groundbreaking British series that explores a diverse group of friends in New Orleans whose lives are transformed in the aftermath of a tragedy.  The cast includes Jesse James Keitel (Big Sky), Juliette Lewis (Yellowjackets), Kim Cattrall (Sex and the City) and Ed Begley, Jr.

Also on June 9, the season finale of Girls5Eva will air on Peacock online; and that same day The Staircase will air its finale on HBO Max online.

On June 10, the season finale of The Essex Serpent will air online on Apple TV+; while that same day the third season of For All Mankind will premiere online on Apple TV+. Also, that day the 6th and final season of Peaky Blinders will air online on Netflix; and the series finale of Charmed will air on The CW at 8 PM.

The Hallmark Channel original movie Caribbean Summer will debut on June 11 at 8 PM. Jade (Heather Hemmens from Roswell, New Mexico), a morning news producer, is forced to take a vacation after an embarrassing gaffe during a live broadcast. She arrives on a relaxing Caribbean island, but Jade’s trip gets off to a rocky start thanks to a snafu involving the house she rented for her stay. Serendipitously, Jade manages to turn things around and begins a romantic Caribbean adventure with the legitimate owner of the house, a mysterious man named Ford (Ser’Darius Blain from the Jumanji remake franchise and The Big Leap). As Jade slowly lets her guard down and welcomes all that the island, its people, and her handsome host have to offer, her heart and job come into direct conflict when she finds out the true backstory of the man she’s falling for – and it’s a career-defining scoop.

On June 12, the new drama Dark Winds will debut on AMC at 9 PM as well as online on AMC+. Set in 1971 on a remote outpost of the Navajo Nation near Monument Valley, the series follows Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon from Westworld and Fargo) of the Tribal Police as he is besieged by a series of seemingly unrelated crimes. The closer he digs to the truth, the more he exposes the wounds of his past. He is joined on this journey by his new deputy, Jim Chee (Kiowa Gordon from Roswell, New Mexico). Jessica Matten (Burden of Truth and Frontier), Noah Emmerich (The Americans) and Rainn Wilson (The Office) co-star.

The third season of the CBS thriller Evil will now air on Paramount+ online on June 12.

Also on June 12, the 75th Annual Tony Awards will air at 8 PM on CBS [and it will also be simulcast on Paramount+ online as well[].

The UPtv movie The Engagement Backup will debut on June 12 at 7 PM. When historian Luna (Elise Gatien from the Hallmark Channel movie Moonlight in Vermont and Colony) is entrusted with the legacy of her late father’s nautical museum, she pretends that she’s engaged to Jackson (Preston Vanderslice from the Mystery 101 franchise), the infamous son of a tech mogul, in order to save it. As she discovers that there’s actually more to Jackson, will she broaden her romantic horizons as well as her professional ones?

Also on June 12, the season finale of Gaslit will air on Starz at 8 PM followed by the debut of the new drama Becoming Elizabeth at 9:04 PM. Long before she ascended the throne, young Elizabeth Tudor (German actress Alicia von Rittberg from Genius: Einstein) was an orphaned teenager who became embroiled in the political and sexual politics of the English court. Jessica Raine (Call the Midwife and Partners in Crime), Romola Garai (The Hour and Emma) and Tom Cullen (Downton Abbey and Knightfall) co-star.

Lastly, the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries original movie Color My World with Love will debut on June 12 at 9 PM. Kendall (Lily D. Moore from Never Have I Ever) is a talented artist with Down Syndrome who, thanks to the support of her mother, Emma (Erica Durance from Smallville and Supergirl), and grandmother, Bev, is happy and thriving. Her life takes an exciting turn when she meets Brad (David DeSanctis from the box office movie Where Hope Grows) in a cooking class at the local center for diverse learners and romance blooms. Emma has spent the last 22 years trying to protect her daughter and has reservations about this new relationship, especially when it quickly moves in a serious direction. With the help of Nic (Benjamin Ayres from The Chronicles Mysteries franchise), a longtime family friend of Brad’s, Emma slowly accepts that Kendall is ready to – and should – live her own life.

Mark your calendars!
