The Hallmark Channel movie Make Me a Match will debut on June 24 at 8 PM.

Vivi (Eva Bourne), an optimistic woman with a substandard romantic history, works at a data-driven matchmaking app. Once she discovers that the success rate for matches at her company is low, she hires Raina (Rekha Sharma), an Indian matchmaker, to provide advice on how to improve their numbers. As they embark on this matchmaking journey, Vivi meets Raina’s spontaneous son, Bhumesh (Rushi Kota), and questions whether finding love is something one must take control of or let naturally come to them.

The Netflix movie The Perfect Find will debut online on June 23.

After a high-profile firing, Jenna’s (Gabrielle Union) fashion career comeback hits a snag when she falls for a charming, much younger coworker – who happens to be her boss’s (Gina Torres) son. As sparks fly, Jenna must decide if she’ll risk it all on a secret romance.

The movie also stars D.B. Woodside, Aisha Hinds, La La Anthony, Keith Powers and Janet Hubert.

Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:

On June 21, the new drama Secret Invasion will debut online on Disney+. Set in the present day MCU, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross Martin Freeman), Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) and the Skrull Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity. Other cast members include Dermot Mulroney, Katie Finneran, Don Cheadle, Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, Christopher McDonald, Carmen Ejogo, Charlayne Woodard, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Samuel Adewunmi.

The finale of the new drama Class of ‘09 will air online on FX on Hulu on June 21.

On June 22, the second season premiere of And Just Like That… will air online on MAX.

The drama Clean Sweep will debut its first two episodes online on both AMC+ and Sundance Now on June 22. Shelly Mohan (Charlene McKenna) is a super mom in this suspenseful Irish drama. She can juggle the complex lives and schedules of her 3 kids and her husband, who is a detective. Her life is chaotic and hectic, but mostly thankless. Her life is happy though until a dark secret emerges from her past. She then makes a fatal choice to prevent the truth from surfacing. Adam Fergus co-stars.

Also on June 22, the Passionflix movie Gabriel’s Redemption Part 1 will debut online. Professor Gabriel Emerson (Giulio Berruti) has left his position at the University of Toronto to embark on a new life with his beloved Julianne (Melanie Zanetti). Together, he’s confident that they can face any challenge. And he’s eager to become a father. But Julianne’s graduate program threatens Gabriel’s plans, as the pressures of being a student become all consuming. When she is given the honor of presenting an academic lecture at Oxford, Gabriel is forced to confront her about the subject of her presentation – research that conflicts with his own. And in Oxford, several individuals from their past appear, including an old nemesis intent on humiliating Julia and exposing one of Gabriel’s darkest secrets. In an effort to confront his remaining demons, Gabriel begins a quest to discover more about his biological parents, beginning a chain of events that has startling repercussions for himself, Julianne, and his hope of having a family.

Here are the entertainment news items for this past week:

RENEWALS/CANCELLATIONS

The CW has given a season three renewal to All American: Homecoming, but the network has pulled the plug on the DC-based series Gotham Knights after only one season, which hasn’t even come to an end yet. Also, Superman & Lois has been given a 4th season, 10-episode renewal, but with a major change to the series: 7 cast members have been cut, including Dylan Walsh (General Sam Lane), Emmanuelle Chriqui (Mayor Lana Lang), Erik Valdez (Lana’s ex-husband Kyle Cushing), Inde Navarrette (Lana and Kyle’s daughter Sarah), Wolé Parks (Superman’s ally John Henry Irons), Tayler Buck (John Henry’s daughter Natalie) and Sofia Hasmik (Smallville Gazette editor-in-chief Chrissy Beppo), leaving only Tyler Hoechlin (Clark Kent/Superman), Elizabeth Tulloch (Lois Lane) and Alex Garfin and Michael Bishop (Clark and Lois’ twin sons, Jordan and Jonathan Kent, respectively) as part of the series regular cast. In addition, Michael Cudlitz, who will play Lex Luthor, has been promoted to series regular for next season. (Deadline and TV Line)

Netflix has given a second season renewal to XO, Kitty the spin-off series from To All the Boys franchise. (TV Line)

Apple TV+ has given a second season renewal to the sci-fi drama Silo. (TV Line)

Netflix has renewed Fubar for a second season. (TV Insider)

TV CASTING NEWS

Paramount+ will air NCIS: Sydney, the latest spin-off of the franchise, exclusively in Australia. The tagline for the series is: As international tensions rise in the Indo-Pacific, a brilliant and eclectic team of U.S. NCIS Agents and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) are grafted into a multi-national task force, to keep naval crimes in check in the most contested patch of ocean on the planet. The cast will be led by Olivia Swann (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) as Special Agent Michelle Mackey along with Todd Lasance (Spartacus: War of the Damned) and Sean Sagar (Fate: The Winx Saga) [among others]. It has been announced by Netflix that Linda Hamilton will be joining season 5 of Stranger Things, but exact details about what role she will play is being kept under wraps. (Variety)

STREAMING MOVIE NEWS

Netflix has also announced that Chris Hemsworth will return as Tyler Rake for Extraction 3, the third adventure in the hit action film franchise. (Variety)
