Here are the few entertainment news items for this past week:

COMING TO AN END

The offshoot series Vikings: Valhalla derived from History Channel’s Vikings will come to an end on Netflix after its upcoming third season, which is set to debut in 2024. (IGN and TV Line)

SERIES ORDER

Despite the recent cancellations of four original scripted shows over at Starz, the cabler has given an 8-episode order to The Hunting Wives, based on the May Cobb book. The story follows Sophie O’Neil and her family’s move from the East Coast to deep red East Texas, where she succumbs to socialite Margo Banks’ charms and finds her life consumed by obsession, seduction and murder.
