On December 20, the first two episodes of the TV adaptation of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will debut online on Disney+.
Based on the best-selling book series by award-winning author Rick Riordan, the small screen adaptation tells the fantastical story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell), who’s just coming to terms with his newfound divine powers when the sky god, Zeus (Lance Reddick), accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. With help from his friends Grover (Aryan Simhadri) and Annabeth (Leah Jeffries), Percy must embark on an adventure of a lifetime to find it and restore order to Olympus.
The cast includes Virginia Kull as Percy’s mom Sally, Adam Copeland as Ares, Jessica Parker Kennedy as Medusa, Megan Mullally as Alecto/Mrs. Dodds, Timothy Omundsen as Hephaestus, Toby Stephens as Poseidon, Jay Duplass as Hades and Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hermes.
