Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:
On April 11, the futuristic, post-apocalyptic series Fallout will debut online on Amazon Prime.
This series, based on the immensely popular retro-futuristic video game franchise, sees vault dweller Lucy (Ella Purnell) struggle to adapt to the twisted and dangerous world of the irradiated wasteland and offers the first glimpse of Moldaver (Sarita Choudhury) and Ma June (Dale Dickey). The cast includes Michael Emerson, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Leslie Uggams and Chris Parnell.
The Passionflix movie Wallbanger will debut online on April 11. Caroline (Kelli Berglund), a single interior designer, moves into what seems like the perfect apartment only to be awakened nightly by her neighbor, the ‘wallbanger’ (Simon, played by Amadeus Serafini) sparking an unexpected, tension-filled connection. The cast includes Roselyn Sanchez, Ryan McPartlin and Colin Ford.
Also on April 11, the INSP series Elkhorn will debut at 9 PM. Reeling from an unimaginable loss, 25-year-old Theodore Roosevelt (Mason Beals) abandons New York politics and journeys to the lawless Dakota Badlands, where he establishes the sprawling Elkhorn Ranch and attempts to remake himself into a cattleman.
The new period piece drama Franklin will debut its first three episodes online on Apple TV+ on April 12. This series explores the thrilling story of the greatest gamble of Benjamin Franklin’s (Michael Douglas) career. In December 1776, Franklin is world famous for his electrical experiments, but his passion and power are put to the test when – as the fate of American independence hangs in the balance – he embarks on a secret mission to France. At age 70, without any diplomatic training, Franklin convinced an absolute monarchy to underwrite America’s experiment in democracy. By virtue of his fame, charisma and ingenuity, Franklin outmaneuvered British spies, French informers and hostile colleagues to engineer the Franco-American alliance of 1778 and the peace treaty with England in 1783. The eight-year French mission stands as Franklin’s most vital service to his country, without which America could not have won the Revolution. Diplomats and historians still regard it as the greatest single tour of duty by an ambassador in our nation’s history. The cast includes Noah Jupe, Eddie Marsan and Daniel Mays (among others).
Also on April 12, the Hulu feature film The Greatest Hits will debut online. Harriet (Lucy Boynton) finds art imitating life when she discovers certain songs can transport her back in time – literally. While she relives the past through romantic memories of her former boyfriend (David Corenswet), her time travelling collides with a burgeoning new love interest in the present (Justin H. Min). As she takes her journey through the hypnotic connection between music and memory, she wonders – even if she could change the past, should she?
The Hallmark Channel movie Legend of the Lost Locket will debut on April 13 at 8 PM. When an antiques expert takes on a quest to find a long-lost locket that promises to bring the wearer true love, she finds herself in conflict with, but also attracted to, the town sheriff. The film stars Natasha Burnett and Viv Leacock.
On April 14, the new CBS drama Tracker will air at the special time of 8 PM tonight followed by the two-hour special presentation The 100th: Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden – The Great Arena Run of All Time at 9 PM. This concert marks Billy Joel’s 100th consecutive performance at Madison Square Garden, a feat that underscores his unparalleled success at the iconic venue, and his first concert broadcasted on network TV.
Lastly, the new HBO series The Sympathizer will debut on April 14 at 9 PM. Based on the Viet Thanh Nguyen Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, this espionage thriller and cross-culture satire about the struggles of a half-French, half-Vietnamese communist spy during the final days of the Vietnam War and his new life as a refugee in Los Angeles, where he learns that his spying days aren’t over. The cast includes Robert Downey, Jr., Hoa Xuande and Sandra Oh.
