Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:
On August 4, the finale of The Librarians: The Next Chapter will air at 9 PM on TNT.
The finale of The Buccaneers will air online on Apple TV+ on August 6. Also, on that same day, part 1 of the second season premiere of Wednesday will air online on Netflix.
On August 7, the new six-episode half-hour comedic sci-fi series Demascus will debut online on Tubi. A 33-year-old man (Okieriete Onaodowan from Hamilton and Station 19), on a mission of self-discovery and the burgeoning field of digital psychiatry that may be the key to defining his truest self. The cast includes Martin Lawrence, Janet Hubert, Caleb Eberhardt and Shakira Ja’nail Paye.
The movie Grounded in Love will debut online on Great American Pure Flix on August 7. Annie (Danica McKellar), a spirited, Manhattan-based flight attendant, thrives on adventure and freedom, until an unexpected airline merger grounds her career and a breakup with a self-absorbed boyfriend leaves her questioning everything. Searching for clarity, Annie takes a road trip to her grandmother’s rural Kentucky farm – a place she hasn’t visited in years, though holds close to her heart. Nothing on the farm seems to have changed, except Jake (Trevor Donovan), Annie’s childhood friend who recently traded in fast-paced city life for something more intentional. As two old friends reconnect, Annie rediscovers what matters most – family, faith, community, and the kind of love that stays rooted when everything else seems uncertain.
On August 8, the much-anticipated debut of the prequel series Outlander: Blood of My Blood will debut on Starz at 8 PM. The series will focus on two lead couples: Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) and Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy). It will bring viewers from the war-torn battlefields of WWI to the sweeping Highlands of 18th century Scotland, promising two new love stories filled with loyalty, passion and desire, as the young couples defy the forces that seek to tear them apart. The cast includes Tony Curran, Rory Alexander, Sam Retford, Seamus McLean Ross and Conor MacNeill.
The (unexpected) series finale of Resident Alien will air on August 8 at 10 PM on both Syfy and the USA Network.
On August 9, the second franchise movie Providence Falls: An Impossible Promise will debut on Hallmark Channel at 8 PM. Detectives Cora and Liam (Katie Stevens and Lachlan Quarmby), who are investigating a murder while also navigating a love story that spans centuries. Liam, who is Cora’s reincarnated love from the past, is tasked with helping Cora find her fated match from their past life. The cast also includes Evan Roderick (Aurora Teagarden Mysteries), Paul McGillion (Stargate: Atlantis) and Matty Finochio (Sight Unseen and Riverdale).
The Lifetime movie Finding Faith will debut on August 9 at 8 PM. Struck by a sudden death of her husband, Faith (Paula Patton) spirals out of control and loses her trust in God. But with the unwavering support of her family, pastor and close friends, Faith starts to find her way out of the darkness and into the light, rebuilding her life one step at a time. The movie also stars Loretta Devine, Stephen Bishop, Nadine Velazquez, Demetrius Grosse and Keith David.
Lastly, on August 10, the second season of The Chicken Sisters will debut on the Hallmark Channel at 8 PM while on that same day, the finale of The Gilded Age will air on HBO at 9 PM.
