Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:
On August 20, the new limited series The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox will debut online on Hulu. The series is inspired by the story of how Amanda Knox (Grace Van Patten) was wrongfully convicted for the tragic murder of her roommate, Meredith Kercher, and her 16-year odyssey to set herself free. The cast includes Sharon Horgan and Rebecca Wisocky.
The new Amazon Prime movie The Map That Leads to You will debut online on August 20. Heather’s (Madelyn Cline) European adventure takes a turn when she meets Jack (KJ Apa), sparking an unexpected emotional journey neither of them saw coming. Josh Lucas also stars.
On August 21, the second season of Peacemaker will debut online on HBO MAX while that same day, the finale of the new drama Code of Silence will air online on Britbox.
The new limited series Hostage will debut online on August 21 on Netflix. When the British prime minister’s husband is kidnapped and the French president starts receiving threats, both leaders must face an impossible choice. The cast includes Suranne Jones, Corey Mylcreest, Julie Delpy, Lucian Msmati, Ashley Thomas, James Cosmo and Jehnney Beth.
On August 22, the season three premiere of Foundation will air online on Apple TV+.
The new Hallmark Channel movie Double Scoop will debut on August 23 at 8 PM. Nora (Taylor Cole) discovers the best ice cream and hopes to land them as a client. Her sweet dreams hit a snag when her former colleague James (Ryan McPartlin) has the same idea. Old sparks begin to melt the frosty tension.
Lastly on August 24, the finale of The Institute will air on MGM+ at 9 PM while that same night the second season premiere of The Marlow Murder Club will air at 9 PM on PBS followed by the 6th season premiere of Unforgotten will air at 10 PM.
