Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:
On January 5, Brilliant Minds will be back from its winter break on NBC at 10 PM.
The 4th season premiere of Will Trent will air on ABC at 8 PM followed by the mid-season return of High Potential at 9 PM followed by the 8th season premiere of The Rookie at 10 PM all on January 6. Also, on that night, the timeslot debut of the new FOX drama Best Medicine will air at 8 PM followed by the return of Doc at 9 PM.
On January 7, the mid-season returns of Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and Chicago P.D. will air on NBC at 8, 9 and 10 PM respectively.
The second season of The Pitt will premiere online on HBO Max on January 8. Also, on that night, the mid-season returns of Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit will air at 8 and 9 PM respectively on NBC with the second season premiere of The Hunting Party set to air at 10 PM. And, also on January 8, the mid-season returns of 9-1-1, 9-1-1: Nashville and Grey’s Anatomy will air on ABC at 8, 9 and 10 PM respectively.
On January 8, the new limited series His & Hers will debut online on Netflix. Two estranged spouses — one a detective, the other a news reporter (Jon Bernthal and Tessa Thompson) — vie to solve a murder in which each believes the other is a prime suspect. The cast includes Pablo Schreiber, Marin Ireland and Rebecca Rittenhouse.
The new drama Girl Taken will debut online on Paramount+ on January 8. The series follows the story of twin sisters Lily and Abby (Tallulah Evans and Delphi Evans), whose lives are shattered when Lily is abducted from their quiet rural English town by beloved local teacher Rick Hansen (Alfie Allen). After years of abuse in captivity, Lily escapes – only to discover that freedom brings its own challenges. The world she longed to return to has moved on without her. As Abby, Lily and their mother Eve struggle to rebuild their family, they must confront the lasting damage and the terrifying reality that Rick is still out there, determined to control the narrative and evade justice.
On January 9, the new movie People We Meet on Vacation will debut online on Netflix. Poppy (Emily Bader) wants to explore the world and Alex (Tom Blyth) prefers to stay home with a good book, but somehow they are the very best of friends. They live far apart, but for a decade they have spent one week of summer vacation together. The movie also stars Lucien Laviscount, Jameela Jamil, Lukas Gage, Alice Lee, Molly Shannon and Alan Ruck.
The third season premiere of Tehran will air on Apple TV on January 9; while that same day, the second season of A Thousand Blows will premiere online on Hulu.
On January 9, the new series Coldwater will debut online today on Paramount+. Stay-at-home dad John (Andrew Lincoln) moves his family up from London to the rural Scottish town of Coldwater after his failure to intervene in a violent confrontation at a playground brings his identity crisis to a head. On arrival, John is quickly befriended by next-door neighbor Tommy, a charming, confident pillar of the community. But it’s only after a series of unsettling incidents start to occur that John starts to wonder who the real Tommy actually is. The series also stars Eve Myles, Indira Varma and Ewen Bremner. It should be noted that this drama will debut on Showtime on January 11 at 9 PM.
The Hallmark Channel movie A Melbourne Match will debut on January 10 at 8 PM. Georgie (Mallory Jansen), a travel writer, travels to Melbourne for an assignment where she meets Zach (Ryan Corr), an Australian ex-footballer who agrees to be her tour guide and shows her that there’s more to life than work.
On January 10, the Lifetime movie Accused: The Karen Read Story will debut at 8 PM. Katie Cassidy stars as the Boston woman who was accused of killing her police officer boyfriend, John O’Keefe, by hitting him with her SUV in 2022, but she was acquitted of murder in June of 2025 but convicted of OUI, with her defense claiming a massive law enforcement cover-up framed her.
The second season of The Night Manager will premiere online on Amazon Prime on January 11; meanwhile, on that same day, the 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards will air on CBS at 8 PM. Also on that night, the 4th season premiere of Industry will air on HBO at 9 PM.
Lastly on January 11, the 6th season of Miss Scarlet will premiere on PBS at 8 PM followed by season six of All Creatures Great and Small at 9 PM followed by the debut of the new drama Bookish at 10 PM. In Bookish, Gabriel Book (Matt Gatiss), proprietor of an antiquarian bookshop, relies on his vast collection to unravel baffling cases. He nurtures a group of lovable yet troubled individuals, providing informal protection and guidance. The cast includes Polly Walker and Joely Richardson.
