UPDATED: The popular NBC series Chuck has been picked up for a full season, getting 11 additional episodes.. And, it looks like the new drama Chase has also been given a full-season pick-up. The new series Undercovers has not been picked up – yet – for a full season, but it did receive an order of 4 more scripts.

NBC has extended full-season pickups to the freshman shows The Event, Outsourced, and Law & Order: Los Angeles.

This means each of these shows will air for the entire TV season (2010-2011).

There is no word yet on the fate of the new shows Undercovers and Chase.

What is Her Universe? This new enterprise was launched this year by Ashley Eckstein, the voice of Ahsoka Tano in Lucasfilm’s hit animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and her partner, The Araca Group, known as one of the most innovative theatrical production and merchandise companies in the world.

As the press release for this new venture between Syfy Ventures and Her Universe states: “Recognizing the lack of product for female genre fans, Her Universe was created to directly address this expanding market by entering into its first agreement with Lucas Licensing to develop and produce a line of female-centered Star Wars apparel and accessories.”

These items will be “sold under the “Syfy Gear” banner and will include original designs that reflect Syfy’s commitment to engaging the imagination, as well as show-specific merchandise from hit Syfy series such as Caprica, Eureka, Battlestar Galactica, Destination Truth, Ghost Hunters International, Ghost Hunters Academy and Warehouse 13. Items to be sold include apparel and accessories as well as gifts and novelties and will be available at both Syfy.com and Her Universe Shop. Throughout 2011, merchandise will be available at conventions around the country including San Diego Comic Con. Beginning in 2012, merchandise will be available through national retail partners.”

First the new NBC drama Outlaw, which stars Jimmy Smits, had it’s production halted; now the network has decided to move it from its Friday night timeslot at 10 PM to Saturdays. The remaining four episode are expected to still air.

UPDATE: Technically the show has been canceled with the network simply allowing the four remaining episodes to air for those few viewers who actually watched the series.

Thanks to the folks over at seat42F for the following details about the college tour for the FX series Terriers:

FX’s newest and critically acclaimed drama series Terriers has embarked upon a nationwide university tour with its starring cast, Donal Logue and Michael Raymond-James, where they will host screenings of the series and conduct Q&A sessions at each featured campus.

The current schedule includes stops at the following universities:

St. Louis University on Monday, October 11

University of Illinois on Tuesday, October 12

University of Illinois on Wednesday, October 13

University of Michigan on Thursday, October 14

University of Chicago on Monday, October 18

Terriers is a drama centering on ex-cop Hank Dolworth (Donal Logue) and his partner and best friend Britt Pollack (Michael Raymond-James) — two small-time, unlicensed private investigators who become embroiled in a big scandal. The series co-stars Kimberly Quinn, Laura Allen, Rockmond Dunbar and Jamie Denbo.

Terriers airs on FX on Wednesday nights at 10 PM.

Thanks to the folks at SpoilerTV for the following details about the return of some of TNT shows:

The Closer kicks off a five-episode run, including a two-part Christmas special starting December 6 at 9 PM. This will be followed by Men of a Certain Age at 10 PM.

Leverage will make a brief return on December 12 with a Christmas-themed episode followed by its 2-hour season finale, which is expected to air on December 19.

Emma Stone

It’s official!

Actress Emma Stone – currently being seen in the box office movie Easy A – has been cast as the female lead in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot.  She will play Gwen Stacy opposite Andrew Garfield who stars as Peter Parker.

The film will be released in theaters nationwide in 3D on July 3, 2012.
