CONVENTION NEWS

The home of Comic-Con will remain San Diego until 2016, extending their contract with the Convention Center in San Diego one additional year beyond the new contract. Next year’s event will be held from July 18 to 21. (Dominic Patten at Deadline)

TELEVISION

Actor Mike Colter (Ringer) will join the cast of the mid-season FOX thriller The Following. He will have the recurring role of FBI bureaucrat Nick Donovan. The series is set to debut on January 21. (Michael Ausiello at TV Line)

The ABC political drama Scandal has been given a full season order. (E! Online)

The mid-season NBC mystery soap known as Notorious then was known as Infamous has, once again, undergone a name change. It will now be known as Deception. The series follows a female detective (Meagan Good) who returns undercover to the wealthy and troubled Lawson family she grew up in, as the maid’s daughter, to solve the murder of the notorious heiress Vivian Lawson who was once her closest friend. DEVELOPMENT NEWS

Former 90210 show runner Rebecca Sinclair is coming back to The CW with two new hour-long dramas. First is the untitled drama which centers on a self-obsessed young pop star – the black sheep of her religious family – who isn’t interested in saving anything but her own career, until a fan claims to have been miraculously healed by her touch and word spreads that she has divine powers. The second is called The Lost Girls based on the travel memoir of the same name by Jennifer Baggett, Holly Corbett and Amanda Pressner. The TV project will centers on four very different 20-something American women, each at a point of crisis, who decide to escape their lives and their country by going abroad. While in Cambodia, the wanderers bond, happy to find friends who are equally lost; but when one of the women vanishes under mysterious circumstances, the remaining three pledge to find her, embarking on the real journey, a quest that leads them off the beaten path, around the globe and on the road to finding themselves. Actress Brooke Nevin (Breakout Kings and The 4400) has booked a series regular role in the TNT drama pilot called Trooper that centers on KJ (Mira Sorvino), a recently divorced female state trooper who is as unconventional at work as she is at home raising her three kids. Nevin will play Dakota – KJ’s sister who herself is putting the pieces of her life back together. (Nellie Andreeva at Deadline)

Actor Omid Abtahi (Argo and Last Resort) has been cast in the A&E drama pilot Those Who Kill, an adaptation of a Danish crime series. The project revolves around police detective Catherine Jensen (Chloe Sevigny) and a forensic profiler who possess a deep understanding of the serial killers they hunt. Abtahi will play Jerry Molbeck, a brilliant and dutiful homicide detective who is happy to do research for Catherine as she gets closer to finding a serial killer. (Nellie Andreeva at Deadline)

BOX OFFICE NEWS

Actor Frank Grillo (The Gates and Warrior) has been confirmed to play the character of Crossbones in the upcoming sequel to Captain America. (Variety and Dark Horizons)

Question: Who knew Captain Hook was so sexy?! Is there any scoop on what’s next for OUAT’s newest bad boy? – Jentrom15Flicka

Team Watch with Kristin: What’s next is a journey with Emma Swan that Captain Hook himself, aka Colin O’Donoghue, thinks fans will enjoy very much. “They have a very interesting dynamic between the two of them because Emma is obviously a strong character, strong-willed, and Hook is Captain Hook, you know?” he teases. “So they have an interesting kind of back and forth. That’s all I’m going to say at the minute!”

Question: Can we please get some scoop on Kensi and Deeks on NCIS: LA? Or any scoop you have on that show! Love it! – Barbara

Team Watch with Kristin: We talked to LL Cool J about what’s coming up this season, and he seemed borderline giddy (or as close as that man can get to “giddy”) about NCIS: LA exploring Hanna’s life and introducing more family and friends, which of course means they’ll most likely be in danger. When we pressed him for more, he only said that the show is about to get “interesting.”

Fox International Channels has acquired the TV rights to the new crime series called Jo that stars actor Jean Reno as a veteran detective in Paris’ elite Criminal Brigade who stops at nothing to solve the most challenging murder cases. Actor Ethan Embry (That Thing You Do!) has landed a recurring role on Once Upon a Time, but details are not being released on what character he will play. (Natalie Abrams at TV Guide)

Actress Kathleen Quinlan (Apollo 13 and Prison Break) will have a multi-episode arc on the new NBC drama Chicago Fire, playing mother to Lt. Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer). (Lesley Goldberg at The Hollywood Reporter)

Actor Warren Kole (Common Law) will have a recurring role on the upcoming mid-season FOX series The Following, playing Roderick, a devotee of Joe Carroll (James Purefoy), a recently escaped serial killer originally captured by FBI agent Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon). DEVELOPMENT NEWS

Actress Mira Sorvino will star in the TNT drama pilot called Trooper (that was original a project at CBS). The project centers on a recently divorced female state trooper (Sorvino) who is as unconventional at work as she is at home raising her three kids. Her partner on the job is a widowed father who has a much more by-the-book approach to policing. (Nellie Andreeva at Deadline)

Actress Rebecca Romijn will star alongside actor Jon Tenney in the TNT pilot called King And Maxwell that follows Sean King (Tenney) and Michelle Maxwell (Romijn), who aren’t the typical pair of private investigators. Both are former Secret Service agents, and their unique skill sets (not to mention their razor-sharp chemistry) often gives them a leg up on suspects and conventional law enforcement. With her striking beauty, athletic prowess and Beltway connections, Maxwell is a formidable investigator, determined to prove herself after being forced to resign from the Secret Service. Actor Joe Flanigan (Stargate: Atlantis) has joined the cast of the Lifetime pilot called The Secret Lives Of Wives inspired by the Iris Krasnow novel, which explores the unvarnished truth behind the marriages of four different women — Michelle (Kim Raver), Reed (Salli Richardson), Keaton (Amber Clayton) and Jessie (Lauren Bittner). Flanigan will play Reed’s husband Jared, who is the shadow of his former self, becoming passive and unresponsive to his marriage. Also among the cast are David Conrad and Callum Blue. Irish actor Eoin Macken (who plays Gawain on the Syfy series Merlin) has landed the lead role in the hour-long NBC pilot called After Hours, which revolves around the graveyard shift in the ER at San Antonio Medical Center. It centers on TC Callahan (Macken), who has returned from the Army to practice his unorthodox brand of medicine, often butting heads with his superiors. (Nellie Andreeva at Deadline)

Shonda Rhimes (the woman behind Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice and Scandal) is producing the ABC drama pilot called MILA 2.0 (based on the book by Debra Driza), which is a sci-fi thriller about a young woman who discovers that she is a Mobile Intel Life-like Android (aka Mila), an experiment in artificial intelligence created by the U.S. government and her scientist mother, who kidnapped her when she was found to have human emotions. Question: I have been loving the flirting between Eric and Nell this season on NCIS: Los Angeles, it has been adorable to witness! Can we hope to see more of it this season and see that relationship continue? – Cheryl

Sandra: Remember the almost-kiss between Nell and Eric earlier this season? Remember how bummed you were that it didn’t happen? Well, be sad no longer: There’s a KISS COMING! “I won’t tell you which episode,” teases executive producer Shane Brennan. “But there is a kiss coming. It’s nerd love!” (Extra hints because I like you: It will air before December and they are NOT on a mission.) Now, before Kensi and Deeks fans cry foul and claim they’ve been waiting for a love connection longer, Brennan is quick to point out that the two couples are on very different paths. “Nerds don’t hang around when it comes to love. They jump right in,” he jokes. “It certainly has developed. It’s an intellectual relationship that sometimes struggles to find its physicality, but that’s the nature of the characters. Whereas Kensi and Deeks there a playfulness and sexy tension.” Look for Nell and Eric to continue to sizzle this season, and, Brennan predicts, “If it’s a race to the end, I think they’re leading Kensi and Deeks.”

Question: I’ll be honest, I was not expecting Dig to be the first person to learn Oliver’s secret on Arrow. But now that he has, I’m completely on board — especially after executive producer Andrew Kreisberg explained to me what’s in store for this new dynamic duo.

Sandra: “Dig finding out is going to rock everyone’s world,” he says. “We always knew early on that we wanted to give Oliver someone to talk to. We didn’t want to constantly have voiceover where he was expressing his thoughts to the audience.” Additionally, Kreisberg says that, in a way, Dig understands Oliver’s predicament better than anyone else, and his view of the young crime fighter isn’t sullied by “preconceived notions of who Oliver Queen was.” “We always say that if Oliver is the dark then Dig is the light and the truth is somewhere in between,” he says. “They really need each other — Oliver needs someone to remind him of the value of life and that the extreme way is not the only way. And that sort of push and pull between the characters has given us so many great episodes because you get to see them not just having fun as partners but also see them wrestle with the morality of this quest they are both on.” But what does Dig get from Oliver? A sense of Purpose. “Since he’s come back and is in personal security, he feels like he’s not making a difference in the world. So teaming up with Oliver certainly gives him the opportunity to do that,” he says.

British actress Hayley Atwell (Captain America) will play a policewoman who becomes obsessed with tracking down the killer of a 15-year-old girl in ITV’s (one of the main networks in the U.K.) newly commissioned TV series called Life Of Crime, which is told in three parts over three decades. It begins against the backdrop of London’s Brixton riots in 1985 when Atwell’s rookie cop discovers the body of a murdered girl; then it follows her professional and personal struggles picking up again in 1997 and in 2013. Buffy fans rejoice! Actor Seth Green and actress Alyson Hannigan will be reunited in an upcoming episode of How I Met Your Mother. Green will play Daryl LaCoutre, a guy who considered himself BFFs with Marshall and Lily. The only problem? They barely remember him. Now, he’s still living in their college town and is determined to have them in his life. The episode is scheduled to air on December 10. (Twitter and Give Me My Remote)

DEVELOPMENT NEWS

The USA Network is developing a new legal drama called Shadow Counsel from Law & Order writer Barry Schindel. The project centers on a former Army lawyer who, in order to crack an ongoing investigation, is recruited reluctantly by the FBI as a Shadow Counsel, a “secret” lawyer who operates in the shadows, completely off the record to circumvent existing roadblocks (hired attorneys, interrogators, etc) in classified cases. British actress Georgie Henley (The Chronicles of Narnia franchise) has been cast as the lead in the upcoming movie called The Sisterhood Of Night, joining up-and-comer actress Kara Hayward (Moonrise Kingdom). Eddie, one of Jack’s old high school buddies who is now a cop with a chip on his shoulder, will pay him a visit in episode 10 and we’re already campaigning for a Roswell alum to guest star. ME: I’d say Jason Behr, as he needs the exposure seeing as he hasn’t done much in the spotlight in a VERY long time.

Team Watch with Kristin: We’d ask you for your definition of good, but who are we kidding? You aren’t going to like this next bit of info, but we’re going to share it anyway! Could Zoe be getting a new love interest? The CW charmer is currently casting the likeable, sexy and charismatic Jonah, a surgeon-in-training who is in town visiting family. While he initially comes off as a little cocky (he is a former fratboy after all), Jonah also has a vulnerable side. So he’s a surgeon, like Zoe, and is a bad boy with a sensitive side? Yeah, Wade and George should definitely be worried, especially when you factor in that Jonah will be sticking around for a bit.

Actor David Conrad (The Ghost Whisperer) has landed the male lead in the Lifetime pilot The Secret Lives Of Wives inspired by the book by Iris Krasnow that explores the unvarnished truth behind the marriages of four different women: Michelle (Kim Raver), Reed (Salli Richardson), Keaton (Amber Clayton) and Jessie (Lauren Bittner). Conrad will play Michelle’s husband Wil, an erudite, handsome English lit professor who Michelle nursed through a serious illness 15 year earlier. Still head-over-heels in love, the two are about to renew their wedding vows, making it all the more shocking when Michelle learns that Wil has been leading a double life. The CW has bought a drama project from writers/executive producers Laurie McCarthy (CSI: Miami) and Stephanie SenGupta (Outlaw) called Reign that will be a fantastical reimagining of the teenage Mary Queen of Scots, who as the age of 6 days old succeeded her father, King James V of Scotland, to the throne. This project is described as Game Of Thrones meets Marie Antoinette if Marie Antoinette had a girl posse and was coming of age as a warrior queen. It’s about the secret history of survival at French Court amidst fierce foes, dark forces, and a world of sexual intrigue. (Nellie Andreeva at Deadline)

The drama project called The Return of Daniel Shepherd – from writer David Hubbard – has landed at HBO. This project tells the story of a family thrown into disarray when their son returns home after 13 years missing. When his abductors turn up murdered, he is the prime suspect. That further shrouds the mystery surrounding this family: the boy’s father, a former FBI operative-turned-college criminology teacher; his mother, a stay-at-home-mom-turned-congresswoman; and his fraternal twin brother. Actress-producer Charlize Theron has sold the sweeping drama called The Clan to ABC. It is set in the Highlands of medieval Scotland, where the great clans battle one another and the Viking invaders. (Lesley Goldberg at The Hollywood Reporter)

A modern Sense and Sensibility has been sold to CBS by writer Margaret Nagle (Boardwalk Empire). The untitled drama project is being described as a modern reworking of classic story set in the world of medicine, where three devoted sisters have their lives turned upside down when the father who abandoned them during their childhood returns, seeking more than forgiveness. Additionally, she has sold the crime drama called Paradise Falls to FOX. The project revolves around a down-on-his-luck documentary filmmaker sent by a crime reality show to cover a trial of a heinous crime that has engulfed the town of Paradise Falls, Pa. As he looks into the facts, he uncovers corruption and deceit at every turn and realizes the case is merely a smoke screen for the town’s twisted ambition for fame and profit. It looks like FOX is developing another drama with a brilliant but self-destructive professional as the lead, but this time it will be a lawyer instead of a doctor. The network has ordered the pilot called RAKE, based on the hit Australian series, about a criminal defense lawyer named Cleaver Greene. Actor Greg Kinnear (As Good As It Gets) is attached to star and to executive produce. (Lynette Rice at Entertainment Weekly)

Question: I loved the Pretty Little Liars Halloween special! What’s next for my favorite couple Emily and Paige when the show comes back? – Lauren

Team Watch with Kristin: When PLL returns in January (boo, so far away!); the girls will be in a pretty solid place as Emily will have to take care of Paige. “Paige sort of deals with some PTSD from being trapped in a closet and you see Emily having to care for her and lift her up,” Lindsey Shaw tells us. “You definitely see them enter a new chapter. And then Paige comes back more feisty than ever!”

Question: Since we didn’t get a new episode of Castle this week, can I get some scoop instead? — Jackie

ADAM: Been waiting to see what would happen when Martha Rodgers and Jim Beckett get in a room together? You’ll get your chance during November sweeps! Unfortunately, the family affair happens on the same night Castle and Beckett are stranded without their phones while protecting a witness from the mob. “There’s some tension because they’ve had the ‘meet the folks’ dinner and it hasn’t gone particularly well,” creator Andrew W. Marlowe tells us. So, what’s the problem? “It’s about who Martha is versus who Jim is,” Marlowe says. “It’s a bit of oil and water.”

Question: Got any NCIS scoop about Ziva? — Kristen

ADAM: In addition to a couple of “aw” moments with Tony during November sweeps — including Ziva reminiscing with her partner about her dead sister Talia — executive producer Gary Glasberg promises a “huge Ziva story” right after the holiday break in January. Although the precise details of the arc are still being hammered out, Glasberg confirms that “it’s going to rock Vance’s world” and it will feature the return of Michael Nouri as Ziva’s father, Eli David. “What goes down affects everybody and propels us into [the season’s next chapter],” Glasberg says. “I think it all sticks to the idea of knocking people down and picking them back up again, emotionally and psychologically.”

Question: Is Phoebe Tonkin going to get between my favorite Vampire Diaries couple, Tyler and Caroline? — Jonah

NATALIE: Tonkin’s character Haley has much more on her mind than hooking up with her old friend Tyler. “Haley isn’t there to do anything bad or mess up anyone’s relationship,” Tonkin tells us. “Haley’s a tomboy; she just likes hanging out with the guys!” So what is she coming to town for then? Adds Tonkin, “She’s trying to find out some things about her past and there are people in Mystic Falls holding onto that information that she wants.” Considering she’s a fellow werewolf, those people better watch out!

Question: I’m loving Nashville so far, but I have to know: Is Deacon going to choose Juliette over Rayna? — Amy

ADAM: I’ll just say this: Deacon makes his choice clear in the next episode — but he may have waited too long for anyone to truly benefit. In truth, both Rayna and Juliette will be distracted by family issues: Juliette is forced into closer quarters than she’d like with her junkie mother and Rayna will finally learn exactly why her father looks down on her career as country music’s queen. (Hint: Rayna’s mother probably inspired a few broken-hearted love songs in her day.)

Question: Can I get some scoop about what might be my new favorite show, Arrow? —Katy

Ausiello: This week, of course, marks the debut of DC Comics baddie Deadshot. But it’s Episode 4 (airing Halloween night) that promises to be the show’s first game-changer when, well, let’s just say that someone spies Oliver slipping into his “costume.” And that lookie-loo might not be the only person who gets wise to Arrow’s true identity that episode!

Question: What does Nikita‘s horrible ratings mean for Season 4? —Jarrod

Ausiello: Relax. Breathe. Chill. Let’s get a little deeper into Season 3 before we start worrying about a fourth season, k? Besides, there’s something more pressing you should be freaking out about. Like, what exec producer Craig Silverstein meant when he told my colleague Megan Masters that “no one on the show is safe,” adding, “There’s going to be some direct changes and threats to people in the core group and how you define the core group.”

Question: Any Alex-related Nikita teases you can share? —Jill

Ausiello: Hope you’re patient, because “The bigger Alex stuff is planned for a bit further down the line,” shares Silverstein. “One thing I can tell you is that she starts to flirt with a darker path starting around Episode 4.”

Question: Um, holy Switched at Birth finale bombshell! Any Season 2 scoop? —Lisa

Ausiello: Series creator Lizzy Weiss tells TVLine that the Angelo’s alleged baby mama “will be a huge part of Season 2 in terms of everyone’s responses to her, and what it means for each character to have this potential half-sibling out there.” Bonus Scoop: Next January’s season premiere will also feature a new character, Teo, played by Stephen Lunsford, who is part of “a big new story for Bay that will shake up her world. There will be a new friendship for [her].”

Question: This Psych-O needs to know. — when is Season 7 starting? —Samantha

Ausiello: Someone (read: Samantha!) didn’t get the memo: Shawn and Gus are back on the case Wednesday, Feb. 27. Baldwin will play Mike Slattery, second in command to Captain Tom Chandler (Eric Dane) onboard the USS Nathan James. He’s a fair man who cares deeply for his family. Actor Nicolas Cage is in talks to take over the lead role in the reboot of The Left Behind 16-book series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. ‘SUPERNATURAL’: ‘THINGS QUICKLY FALL APART’

Intel from Sandra: If you, like me, are still haunted by the image of Castiel calling out to Dean in Purgatory, sit back. I have some interesting intel for you. While talking to Misha Collins about his charitable scavenger hunt (more about that here), he also confirmed a hunch we’d had about the last time Dean saw Cas. It was, in fact, while Dean was exiting Purgatory. But there’s much more to it than that. “That very moment is a pivotal moment. I think Dean is confused about what happened at that moment and won’t actually find out what happened then until episode 7,” he reveals. “It’s going to take a while to see that moment play out.” Suffice to say the truth hurts — especially on this show. But when Cas does return topside, look for him to be “reinvigorated with a sense of purpose,” says Collins. “He essentially feels like he has to do good in order to right the wrongs of his past. So he starts to collaborate with Sam and Dean for that reason — so that he can continue to try to make things right. He’s no longer paying penance, really, because it’s no longer an act of suffering for him. But he’s doing his best to right the wrongs of his past.” Doing so won’t be as easy as he hopes, however. “He’s doing that in ways that help Sam and Dean and then, ultimately, it might also make life — as per usual with the Supernatural universe — complicated for Sam and Dean. At first, it seems like everything is hunky dory. But things quickly fall apart.”

Question: Are they leading up to a Carter/Reese romance? — @MollyFaraday

Sandra: My guess is no. But only because I preach the word of the lovely Taraji P. Henson, who had some majorly insightful thoughts on this would-be pairing. “I think just from being involved and knowing the characters in-depth like I do, I honestly don’t think Reese is capable of that kind of love anymore,” she says. “I don’t think that he has the capacity to give himself up in that way and save lives.” Of course, there’s never any telling what’s in the plans further down the line, but would you agree, fans? Would it be out of character for Reese? (Also, for the record, Henson says she’s “open to it.”)

Question: Please give me some Zoe/Wade scoop! They are the BEST part of Hart of Dixie! — Lara

Sandra: Really? Because I would go with 1) Wade’s abs. 2) Zoe/Wade. But we’re all entitled to our opinions. Anyway, according to Wilson Bethel, there’s plenty in store this season for this pair. “Zoe and Wade fans will be pleased to see where this season is going,” he says. “It’s not all roses by any means, but it’s a lot of fun Zoe-and-Wade stuff. For fans who’ve picked that side in the love triangle, they’ll be pleased.” Plus, Zoe Hart is a stronger woman than I if she can continue NOT falling for the good-looking guy who is constantly ready and willing to help her when she’s in a tough spot. One upcoming example? Wade finds Zoe a rent-a-Santa after she accidentally takes the town’s out of commission. And who he finds to step in is definitely someone we’ve seen before!

Question: What a GREAT Nikita premiere. I’m loving that Michael and Nikita are going to make it official. (Best engagement ever?) To celebrate, how about some Mikita scoop? — Nicole

Actor Jake T. Actor Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead) will play an ex-Marine working as a cop who is dealing with corruption in his own ranks. Actor Brian J. Smith (Stargate Universe) will guest star in an episode of the upcoming new Syfy series Defiance that is set to debut in April of next year. Smith will play Gordon McClintock, a NASA hero from the pre-Arkfall days who was presumed dead following a space station catastrophe; but he is discovered to still be alive when he is revived from an induced sleep, and is overcome with shock and disbelief at the dangerous new world of Defiance. Uh-oh, seems like trouble is brewing on Scandal and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Team Watch with Kristin: Prepare to meet more members of the rebel army, including McClusky, one of the gang’s leaders who is iron-tough and has a kind but commanding presence. We’ll also meet Sanborn, a tense scientist who loves to build intricate weaponry. Hmmm, these two roles have our minds reeling as they are set to make their first appearances in episode 11, which follows a can’t-miss episode 10. Creator Eric Kripke teases that Charlie and the gang will catch up to Danny in that episode, and Miles and Monroe will finally come face-to-face. “They still really love each other. When they see each other, they’re not really sure if they’re going to kill each other or hug each other,” Kripke teases, describing their history as “very tragic, emotional and Cain-and-Abel.”

Question: Stefan and Elena seem like they’re in a good place on The Vampire Diaries. Will they stay that way? —Farrah

NATALIE: Those two are definitely in it for the long haul. But while they had some meaningful conversations about their future in the premiere, this week’s episode will bring trouble to paradise. Expect Elena and Stefan to clash after a particular “interaction” between Elena and Damon. “It’s something unintentionally hurtful she does to Stefan that she has to then deal with the repercussions of,” executive producer Julie Plec says.

Question: Last Resort’s heating up! What’s coming next? — Brad

ADAM: A good portion of the men under Chaplin’s command are becoming a bit antsy about their current assignment. How antsy? Chaplin will have to stave off not one, but two assassination attempts by his own men. These brushes with death will force Chaplin to consider letting some of the crew leave the island and head home.

Question: So we’ve all heard it’s the “Year of Tiva” on NCIS, but what about my other favorite duo, Abby and McGee? Anything new on them? —Alyssa

Ausiello: McGee’s gonna have some explaining to do when he’s caught in a compromising situation with (drumroll please… ) Diane Sterling, aka the communal ex-wife of both Gibbs and Fornell! As exec producer Gary Glasberg explains, Melinda McGraw will reprise her role in December, and “this time she not only has to work undercover with them, she has to spend the night with Special Agent Tim McGee as well. Amidst the chaos, Gibbs and Fornell find their ex asleep on the sofa with Tim. Question: Thank you for recommending Connie Britton’s Nashville! I loved it, although the political storyline seems tacked on. Tell me I’m wrong? –Amy

Ausiello: What I can tell you is that while the mayoral campaign story is ostensibly about Teddy, it’ll be as much about his wife. Actually, I’ll let Ms. Britton tell you. “Rayna’s a self-made woman who has been basically supporting their family for most of their adult lives — and now, suddenly, she’s going to some degree be playing ‘the politician’s wife,’ and that’s going to be a really interesting conflict for her, and for them,” says TV’s erstwhile Mrs. Coach. “He doesn’t need to [run for office], and she’s also conflicted about her father being involved in it… But she also has a strong sense of allegiance and loyalty to her husband. That’s what’s interesting about playing a Southern woman — there’s always that underlying feeling of, ‘Stand by your man.’”

Question: I’ve just discovered Switched at Birth and I love it (because I am apparently a 14-year-old trapped in a 35-year-old’s body.) Any scoop? —Megan

Ausiello: Things are going to get very complicated for Daphne and Chef Jeff in next Monday’s finale. “As the season sort of winds down, the parents get more and more involved in both of the girls’ choices – and maybe they’re not the best choices,” Katie Leclerc told TVLine at the 2012 Media Access Awards. So how will the family react when the controversial relationship is exposed? “It’s a bombshell,” added Leclerc. “It’s a big blow up. Everyone wants to be a hero in this situation, so the adults have to figure out who that’s going to be and how that’s going to work out.”
