Q&A SECTION (with Natalie Abrams at TV Guide and Michael Ausiello at TV Line)
Question: Any scoop on Revenge’s Jack now that he’s in jail? — Megan
Natalie: Jack will quickly be forced to choose whether he’ll snitch on someone else to set himself free. “He did something wrong, but there are three other people involved,” executive producer Aaron Harberts says. “How far will Jack go to protect Emily and her relationship with Charlotte?” According to Nick Wechsler, pretty far — even to his own detriment. “He’s crazy about [Emily] and wants to see justice be done,” he says. “His feelings for her will draw him into some morally complex situations.”
Natalie: Season 5 picks up four months later, but Annie has not been back at the DPD during that whole time. When she finally does return to work in the premiere, she’ll tell Auggie and Calder where she was, but not what she was doing. Also, be on the lookout for an old face from Season 3 to resurface.
Question: Got any scoop for season 2 of Reign? —Nicole
Ausiello: French Court is going to be visited by four new faces in Season 2, including Princess Claude, the never-before-seen daughter of Catherine and Henry. The “very sexually advanced” young lady will get herself into plenty of mischief, perhaps even more than Narcisse, another (much older) new face who will serve as a sparring partner for her mother. Then there’s Conde, known as the “Prince of the Blood,” who will strike up an unusual friendship with Francis, as well as Prince Thomas, who “may be the next king of France sooner than he’d imagined.” If that last line has you shaking in your boots, you have a very healthy sense of fear.
Question: You mentioned last week in Ask Ausiello that Revenge is adding a new love interest for Emily — anything else you can share about the new guy? —Janet
Ausiello: He’s a childhood friend of Jack’s who has a touch of PTSD from his military days. He decides to make his short-term visit to the Hamptons permanent after something life-changing happens to Jack, then makes fast friends with a number of the locals — including Emily.
Question: I am super excited that Meagan Tandy is returning to Teen Wolf this season as Braeden. Any scoop on what she is up to in Beacon Hills? – Gyll
Ausiello: You’re not the only person excited, Gyll. Executive producer Jeff Davis is thrilled to have Tandy back on the show for Season 4 — this time, in an increased capacity. “She’s in nine of the 12 episodes,” Davis tells us. “She’s someone who’s kind of on the moral fence … and she’s actually hired by Peter and Derek to find Kate.”
Question: Any scoop on Nashville‘s upcoming season? –Sharon
Ausiello: While Hayden Panettiere tells us she enjoys opening her script and being “as shocked as everyone else is,” her gut is telling her that the forecast for Juliette and Avery will remain stormy heading into Season 3 — despite her character’s tear-streaked explanation/apology for cheating with smarmy record exec Jeff Fordham. “I don’t think any route is going to be simple, because that just wouldn’t be interesting,” Panettiere speculates. “At the end of the day, though, when you lose trust in someone in a relationship, that’s a very difficult thing to get back in a way that doesn’t cause incredible conflict, insecurity and jealousy. I can’t imagine Avery being the kind of person that just forgives and forgets.”
Question: Marlene King recently said she wants to do a “Ravenswood episode” on Pretty Little Liars this season. Anything more you can tell me? I miss that spin-off. — Claire
Ausiello: Plans for a Ravenswood-centric episode are indeed underway, but King tells me nothing has been finalized. “I stay in touch with all of those people, both the kids and the adults,” she says. “They know we’d love to — I don’t want to say ‘tie up’ the story — but at least give it some closure. More than we were allowed to, anyway. We were heading somewhere with that story and we want to let the fans know where that was.”
Question: I’m glad Lincoln and Octavia both survived The 100 finale. Please tell me they’ll stay together next season. — Dahlia
Ausiello: Nothing is set in stone for Season 2 just yet, Dahlia, but feel free to interpret executive producer Jason Rothenberg’s words as you will: “Lincoln and Octavia have a genuine romance, and to me, that’s the romantic heart of the show. It’s a union between the Grounders and the people from the Ark, which is really where we’re going next season.”
Actor Patrick Heusinger (Royal Pains and Revolution) will have a recurring role on Bravo’s first original scripted drama series Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce, which stars Lisa Edelstein (House) as a self-help book author who hides the fact that she’s separated from her husband as she starts to navigate her life as a single woman in her early 40s in Los Angeles. Heusinger will play Max, Abby’s brother and best friend. (Nellie Andreeva at Deadline)
Actress Leah Gibson (Rogue) and actor Rhys Ward (The 100 and the upcoming The Strain) have both landed recurring roles in the upcoming 10-episode A&E network drama series The Returned, which is an adaptation of the French drama of the same name. The drama will focus on a small town that is turned upside down when several local people who have been long presumed dead suddenly reappear, bringing with them both positive and detrimental consequences. Gibson will play Lucy, a sexy, free-spirited traveler who works as a waitress at the local bar, The Dog Star Tavern while Ward plays Adam, an expert hunter with a dark nature and a complicated family history that he’s struggling to overcome. (Nellie Andreeva at Deadline)
Actor Jack Coleman will be reprising his role of Noah Bennett aka HRG (or the Man in the Horn-Rimmed Glasses) on the upcoming NBC 13-episode min-series event Heroes: Reborn, which will replicate the basic elements of the show’s first season in which ordinary people were waking up to the fact that they had extraordinary abilities. Specific details about the show’s return are being kept under wraps, though. (Nellie Andreeva at Deadline)
Actress Bex Taylor-Klaus (The Killing and Arrow) will guest star in an upcoming episode of the new TNT series The Librarians (based on the popular Librarian movies). She will play Amy Meyer, a type-A, overachieving high school senior who’s desperate to be a normal girl. The Librarians will premiere this winter on TNT. (Vlada Gelman at TV Line)
Actress Erin Karpluk (Being Erica) will recur on Rookie Blue during its current 5th season. Details on what role Karpluk will play in the latter part of the season is being kept under wraps, though. (Vlada Gelman at TV Line)

Q&A SECTION (with Matt Mitovich at TV Line)
Question: Now that Once Upon a Time’s Emma and Hook kissed, and she let go of her walls and fears, is a CaptainSwan relationship possible, or is it too soon? –freak91
Mitovich: Just because old issues have been put to rest, you can count on new ones arising. “There will be some challenges for them,” co-creator Adam Horowitz teases. Eddy Kitsis elaborates, saying, “The very first obstacle is Emma’s guilt over the fact that she just destroyed Regina’s relationship [with Robin Hood],” by transporting Marian to our world. “So there’s a part of her that feels guilt in starting a new romance of her own.”
Question: A Season 2 premiere date is a start. But do you have any Sleepy Hollow scoop to follow up? –Claire
Mitovich: Can I interest you in one of the most curious casting calls I’ve seen in a while? For Season 2, the Fox hit is filling the guest role of Mary, an old flame of Ichabod’s who is as sweet as she is prone to moody fits of jealousy. But that’s not the fun part. This is: Interested actresses “must be comfortable working in the water” and “with wearing prosthetics.”
Question: Any scoop on Beauty and the Beast is much appreciated. Many thanks! –Anna
Mitovich: Oh, you say that now. But then I go and share this Kristen Kreuk tease about the season finale, and…. Well, just read it. “I think the fans would have been pleased [it had been a series finale], but what does happen is there’s a question that [Catherine and Vincent] have to answer about their future and how they want to proceed.” All told, she says the season ender is “rather emotionally traumatic for everybody.” So? Am I still appreciated?
Question: Do you remember the rings on Haven? Nathan found his after his dad’s death and Audrey got hers from Vince. Will we find out something more about those in Season 5? –Natalia
Mitovich: I can assure you that yes, the rings will play a role in the show’s supersized new season.
Question: I like the idea of Lydia being a banshee on Teen Wolf, but are we ever going to find out what she did in the woods when she went missing at the start of Season 2? –Erica
Mitovich: Season 2? Sorry, but I think we both know Teen Wolf isn’t big on going back and revisiting old story lines, especially from the Jackson era. But if you like the idea of Lydia being a banshee, you’ll love Season 4. In the June 23 premiere alone, Ms. Martin comes in contact with someone who knows more about her powers than she does — and who forces her to predict an imminent death.
Question: I would enjoy some Scandal scoop! –Kyle
Mitovich: If you fretted that Joe Morton’s new role on the TNT drama Proof would translate into less Papa Pope, don’t. At least not yet. Morton told me that production on the Jennifer Beals-led series doesn’t begin until January, so Scandal has dibs on him at least through the first half of Season 4. (I also asked the estimable actor for his thoughts on Rowan offing POTUS’ teen son: “I was pleasantly surprised” that they went there, he offered. “I thought it was a perfect way to end the season.”
Question: What we are to expect from Season 2 of The Witches of East End? –Amber
Mitovich: If you’re at all fuzzy on the final moments of the Season 1 finale, you’re in good company. Thanks to some mystical Asgard juju, the Beauchamp ladies don’t remember anything after Penelope’s death — which is probably a good thing, especially for Freya. And speaking of Freya, don’t expect a Frillian reunion anytime soon. Dash’s brother may have survived that attack, but he’s nowhere near East End when Season 2 begins.
Question: Can you confirm if Nadine Velazquez is a series regular for Season 3 of Major Crimes? –Kevin
Mitovich: I can confirm that the My Name Is Earl alum is not a series regular, and as of press time has yet to be booked for a Season 3 encore.
Question: Any last-minute scoop on The Fosters? – Abby
Mitovich: In the new season, premiering June 16, Callie “discovers a lot about her past that she wasn’t aware of,” Maia Mitchell previews — and she’s not just talking about the twist that her dad isn’t her biological father. The bio dad news will, though, leave her brother Jude “concerned because they’ve done everything together and it’s this whole part of her life that he will never be able to be a part of, that he is not involved in. That causes him some anxiety that you definitely see come out later on in the season in a way that I can’t tell you yet.”
Question: What happened to Detective Sully from Castle? After Beckett got her job back, he just disappeared! –Larissa
Mitovich: I delivered your need for Season 6 “housekeeping” to show boss Andrew W. Marlowe, who explained, “Sully is simply working one floor up. He’d come visit more often, but he’d stop the show. And who can afford that in today’s TV climate?”
Pretty Little Liars has been renewed for two more seasons (its 6th and 7th) by ABC Family. The series just got its fifth season underway on Tuesday night. (Nellie Andreeva at Deadline)
Starz has renewed its new series Power for a 10-episode second season. (The Futon Critic)

Jaffrey will play Aasar Khan, a decorated lieutenant-colonel in the Pakistan intelligence service while O’Keefe will play deputy station chief John Redmond who is stationed in Afghanistan and will clash with Carrie. (Sadie Gennis at TV Guide)
Actress Nicole Gale Andereson (Ravenswood) will be returning to Beauty And the Beast for its third season as a series regular. She plays Catherine Chandler’s (series lead Kristin Kreuk) younger sister. (Nellie Andreeva at Deadline)
Veteran actors Marion Ross (Happy Days) and Ed Asner (The Mary Tyler Moore Show) will appear in the new ABC Family series Chasing Life, playing April’s (series lead Italia Ricci) grandparents. Chasing Life debuted on Tuesday. (Rebecca Iannucci at TV Line)
Actress Tracy Spiridakos (Revolution) has landed the female lead in the upcoming romantic comedy Byrd & the Bees that will star Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Dracula). She will star as Rebecca Byrd, a young woman who travels to Scotland to find and meet her biological father and winds up meeting her dream guy along the way. (Jeff Sneider at The Wrap)
Actor Guy Pearce will join actress Kristen Stewart and actor Nicholas Hoult in the upcoming futuristic love story called Equals that is set in a future society where emotions have been eradicated and the new breed of humans is called Equals. They live peacefully; but when a disease begins activating in its victims, everything they thought they’d escaped, they are sent away and never seen again. When Silas (Hoult) is infected, he becomes an outcast, but he notices one person who seems to understand what he’s going through, Nia (Stewart), who is able to hide her emotions. The only way for them to ensure their survival is to escape. (Nancy Tartaglione at Deadline)
BOX OFFICE TRAILERS
Q&A SECTION (with Natalie Abrams from TV Guide and Michael Ausiello at TV Line)
Question: Forget Emily, how will Victoria handle David’s return on Revenge? — Micah
Natalie: David won’t be Victoria’s first concern. That honor belongs to Emily, since she put Victoria in the psych ward. “[Victoria] takes stock in the horrible things that Emily has done and the chaos she has rained down on the Grayson family,” executive producer Aaron Harberts told my colleague Robyn Ross. “She’s going to be pissed and she’ll come out swinging. As Emily is trying to create a new, more positive life for herself… Victoria is going to be coming up behind her.” But David will eventually be caught in the middle of that battle. “He’s going to cause a lot of problems because he’s at a point where these two women’s lives intersect,” Harberts says.
Question: What’s coming up for Abbie and Jenny on Sleepy Hollow? — Harriet
Natalie: A sibling love triangle! Although executive producer Heather Kadin says the formerly estranged sisters will be on the “same side” more in Season 2, “there may be a male who might get in the middle of that,” she teases. But what brings the duo closer together? Mommy issues! “Abbie’s story this year really has to do with the relationship with her mother and a lot she didn’t know about as a child,” Kadin says. Even though their mom supposedly died years ago, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see her in the flesh this season. Hit the comments with your casting ideas!
Question: What can you tease about the new characters on Under the Dome this season? — Bekki
Natalie: Two of the new faces — science teacher Rebecca (Karla Crome) and Big Jim’s not-to-be trusted brother-in-law Sam (Eddie Cahill) — will create plenty of drama, particularly with Barbie and Julia. What kind of drama, exactly? Perhaps the kind that ends relationships. “Julia and Barbie face a very, very trying situation in Episode 3 that really puts their relationship to the test,” executive producer Neal Baer tells me. Then again, if the couple can survive Barbie killing Julia’s husband, what can’t they get through?
Question: I cannot wait for White Collar to come back! What can you say about the new season? — Thomas
Natalie: Although I can’t reveal exactly how Peter and the team will — spoiler alert! — find Neal after his abduction in the Season 5 finale, Neal will be back on the job by the second episode. But things won’t be completely back to normal. In fact, it will be Peter who has to run a con in order to get Neal out of a jam. Unfortunately, Peter’s acting talents will be further put to the test when he has to start a fight to create a diversion. Let’s hope he’s not just pretending he can throw a right hook!
Question: Got any Covert Affairs scoop? — Rachel
Natalie: Annie isn’t the only person who has history with Max Martini’s character, Nathan Mueller, a former operative who also went off the grid. Turns out, Auggie worked with him back in the day, and when Nate resurfaces, Auggie calls on another old contact to find out why Nate went rogue in the first place. The reason is the last thing he expects.
Question: Please tell me that Killian is alive on Witches of East End! — Kitra
Natalie: Killian’s fate will be revealed quickly in Season 2 — and where he ends up is not as important as who he ends up with. But the Beauchamp clan has more important issues to deal with, including the fact that they’ve yet to find a cure for Joanna, who is progressively getting worse after being poisoned by Penelope. Though whatever (or whoever!) came through that door from Asgard could be Joanna’s savior, Wendy believes it will be her undoing. Let the catfights begin!
Question: It’s been awhile since Hank had some romance in his life on Royal Pains. Any new love interests on the horizon? — Ramon
Natalie: Yep! Hank will romance a spa owner named Charlotte. And while they have smoking-hot chemistry in the bedroom, they can’t quite get their act together when they’re not between the sheets. Also getting a new love interest is Jeremiah, who’ll put aside his long-standing feelings for Divya when a new woman named Viviana catches his eye.
Question: What’s coming up on Teen Wolf this season? — Mitch
Natalie: When the show returns, the gang goes south of the border to find Derek. Little do they know, Derek is actually with Kate, whom Scott & Co. will be shocked to discover is still alive. But the real surprise waiting for the gang has nothing to do with Kate! Let’s just say Derek has changed in a very peculiar way.
Question: Anything on Castle? The hiatus is already too long. —Rachael
Ausiello: Viewers will witness the immediate fallout from Rick’s fiery car wreck, confirms series creator Andrew Marlowe. Translation: no time jump. (And thus more Beckett wedding dress, albeit possibly singed.) “We feel like, given the way we left off, we have an obligation to start exactly where we ended,” explains the EP. “So we’ll be picking up in real time.”
Question: Revenge Season 4 — hit me! —Jacob
Ausiello: I am not a violent person, Jacob, but I’m about to smack you upside the head with a doozy of a Revenge scoop: Emily’s getting a major new love interest this fall. Details are sparse, but I hear the recurring character will be sexy (duh), charming (double duh) and full of secrets (I made that last one up, but, um, triple duh). Jack/Emily ‘shippers shouldn’t throw in the towel though. Revenge exec producer Aaron Harberts hinted to Variety.com that the bond between the star-crossed lovers will likely intensify in the wake of David’s resurrection. “There’s really only one character on the show who knows the relationship between David Clarke and the girl who was Amanda Clarke, and that’s Jack Porter,” he said. “In a year of Emily asking herself, ‘Who is Amanda Clarke? How do I get back to that?’ Jack’s going to play such a huge component in that.” Harberts also revealed that Season 4 will represent a major shift for the drama. “So much of the show was built on the past, but with Conrad being taken down and with [flight] 197 being put to bed, what we’re most excited about is now the show can start living and breathing in the present.”
Question: Will Dana Tomas, Wu’s childhood crush and good friend, played by Tess Paras, return for Grimm’s fourth season? —Ole
Ausiello: There are no current plans for Dana to resurface, but I’d be shocked — shocked, I tell you — if we don’t see here at least once in Season 4.
Question: Loved the gut-wrenching season opener of Major Crimes. Any idea when we will meet Sykes’ date? –Marijke
Ausiello: “Eventually” seems to be the answer. The very pretty MCDetective “is dating someone,” show boss James Duff confirms, “but she doesn’t want the others to know who yet. No police officer ever wants that — if you only knew the truth about what goes on in a precinct, especially when flowers show up! — so you have to throw down the gauntlet. But yes, we will eventually have to reveal all of that.”
Question: Last Sunday’s Devious Maids flashback revealed that Opal pushed Nicholas’ first wife Dahlia off a bridge, then bought his silence by threatening to expose his role in a second killing. I want to know, though, if Opal was somehow involved in Death No. 2, or if this one’s all on her rich boss. –Liesel
Ausiello: File under “there’s a first time for everything”: Opal bears no guilt in whatever nasty secret Nicholas is hiding — although the latter character’s portrayer, Mark Deklin, reveals that wasn’t initially the writers’ vision. “For quite a long time while we were shooting, the idea was that [Opal] was a part of [the second murder],” Deklin tells TVLine. “But at some point, that changed… Opal wasn’t directly involved. It’s something Nick and Dahlia did — but, of course, you can’t keep anything from your maid.”
Question: Can I please have whatever you have on Teen Wolf? —Natalia
Ausiello: By now, you’ve probably heard a lot about Dylan Sprayberry’s Liam, one of the new lacrosse players in Season 4, but a crucial question still lingers: What is he? That, Natalia, will be answered in the season’s third episode — and it’s not even close to the hour’s wildest reveal. Prepare for a gasp-attack.
Question: I’ll take whatever you got on Suits. —Matt
Ausiello: The new season (premiering Wednesday) will finally shed light on the all-knowing Donna. Explains EP Aaron Korsh: “We [get] some backstory into Donna through some of the things she talks about with Louis. Then we have one pretty fun episode where we get to see what Donna’s doing outside the office. You get to hear her talk about her decision to become a legal secretary and some of her family dynamics growing up.”
Actor Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight) will recur on Suits during its fourth season, which will get under way started tomorrow (June 11). He will play Charles Forstman, a titan of finance with a net worth in the billions and an outsized personality to match. (The Futon Critic)

Tierney: In Teen Wolf’s season four premiere on June 23, fans can expect to see Stiles and Lydia hit the club along with Scott, Malia and Kira. Oh, and you can expect to see two of the five people listed above engage in some seriously dirty dancing. Also? The last scene is maybe one of the series’ most shocking cliffhangers. Ever.
Question: Orphan Black is my everything right now. What can we expect from the finale?! – Laura
Tierney: Seat belts on, Clone Club! “It’s going to be quite a ride,” boss Graeme Manson teased, while his co-genius showrunner John Fawcett added, “It is jam-packed and it’s a thrill ride.” But will it end on a massive cliffhanger a la season one’s final moment? “It’s a little different, but hell yeah,” Manson assured. And yes, we can expect to see Paul factor into the final two episodes with Manson previewing, “Paul may be gone, but he is not forgotten, and he’s important.”

Q&A SECTION (with Matt Mitovich from TV Line)
Question: After all the build-up of Once Upon a Time‘s Regina and Robin being soul mates, please tell me that we aren’t all of the sudden going to find out that the lion tattoo is really common and Robin really wasn’t the man in the pub. –Megan
Mitovich: I’ve seen that “theory” floating around, yeah, but Once co-creator Adam Horowitz shot an arrow right through it when I ran it by him. “No, no, no…. That [flashback scene] was not a misdirect,” he reassures. “The man Regina saw in the tavern with the tattoo was Robin Hood.”
Question: Give me anything on Teen Wolf to help tide me over until June 23! –Mary Kate
Mitovich: A member of Scott’s pack is about go missing in Season 4, and there’s only one man capable of tracking them down. The catch? That man doesn’t technically exist yet. MTV is currently casting the potentially recurring role of Dr. Vallack, a “distinguished” gentleman with a unique ability to “unlock the mystery of a disappearance.” In other words, this won’t be your typical vanishing act.
Question: I will take absolutely anything and everything you can get your hands on about Graceland Season 2, especially if it’s Charlie-related! –Sam
Mitovich: I just screened the season opener, which finds Mike returning to the house under extremely dangerous circumstances, in the midst of pursuing his dream job in D.C. Sadly, in his eyes, things at Graceland have changed, and not for the better. As for Charlie: There have been some developments with regards to her “thing” with Briggs, though as revealed in one scene, she appears distracted by a loose thread from Season 1.
Question: Season 4 of Falling Skies looks insane! We’ve been hearing about potential new aliens coming in. Anything you can tease? –Ganon
Mitovich: That premiere I watched earlier in the week, and the cold open is pretty damn b-a-n-a-n-a-s. One of the new aliens you’ve heard about may give George Lucas reason to phone his lawyers. (In other words, we’re gonna need a bigger can of Off!)
Question: Do you have anything on Hal and Lourdes from Falling Skies? I have been wanting them together since the beginning. –Breanna
Mitovich: Based on what happens in that b-a-n-a-n-a-s cold open, you’d be well advised to exhibit some patience. Because for one thing, when we next see her a few scenes later, Lourdes has… changed.
Question: Got any Orphan Is the New Black scoop? And by that I mean any Orphan Black or OITNB news. –Khaira
Mitovich: “Well, I binged all 13 episodes by 1 pm, and this is what happens….” So I’ll choose Door No. 2 tell you that if you think you know what Orphan star Tatiana Maslany is capable of, prepare to have your mind blown this Saturday — and see a lot of great Felix scenes as a result. Meanwhile, Alison and Donnie turning out to be more similar than they’d both like to admit may just be their blessing. As for our science geeks, Delphine will be on the outside looking in with Cosima after last week’s betrayal.
Question: Are we ever going to see the Major Crimes team together in a relaxed situation — a party or a dinner, for example, in a bar or at Sharon’s condo? –Giulia
Mitovich: Keep your eyes peeled for Season 3′s eighth episode, G, and you’ll get your wish! “After they solve the murder, everybody is hanging out in a happy setting at Sharon’s condo,” show boss James Duff shares, “and for a very good reason.”
Question: Is Anne Dudek set to reprise her role in Season 5 of Covert Affairs? – Mark
Mitovich: I can offer a firm maybe. I’m hearing that in the episodes broken to date, Annie’s sis has yet to resurface, though “there’s always the possibility” that she could be written into one of the later episodes.
Question: Can you give any spoilers on Hart of Dixie, please? –Carol
Mitovich: When the show returns at midseason, expect to meet Dr. Henry Dalton, a gentleman in his late 30s/early 40s who is not only handsome and charming but also one of the richest, most connected men in the South. Dalton is described as “the man that women want and men want to be… a walking Superman.” (Mr. Welling is 37, just sayin’!)
NOTE: That would be Tom Welling of Smallville fame for those who may not be completely aware as to whom Matt Mitovich is referring.
