Yes folks you read that correctly. According to a report at TV Line, the ABC hit series Castle will NOT be at next month’s Comic Con in San Diego!!!

While there is no “official” explanation for their not attending, Terri Edda Miller, one of the show’s writers, posted on Twitter late last night that “the show was not invited”. GASP! Not invited – What the hell, right?! Well it seems, again according to Ms. Miller: “[ABC has] new shows [to] put forward now”.

The only good thing out of this VERY disappointing news is that Nathan Fillion (who for the uninitiated plays lead character Richard Castle) is slated to make an appearance at the convention, but the details on where he will be, when he will appear or any other details are “still being worked out”.

Castle fans are not going to be happy about this at all (and that includes yours truly)!

The following is nearly verbatim from a press release from Warner Bros. Entertainment:

Warner Bros. Entertainment is the key to excitement at Comic-Con! The Studio has once again created a set of limited-edition collectible hotel key cards, which will be in use at top hotels throughout the San Diego area during Comic-Con 2012. This marks the fifth consecutive year for the popular room key program, giving fans instant access to a usable — and collectible — piece of artwork.

Over 40,000 branded room keys will be available to fans at 38 participating San Diego–area hotels, courtesy of Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Marketing.

For Comic-Con 2012, Warner Bros. has created all-new key cards for three of the Studio’s highly anticipated new fall series:

* The 666 Park Avenue key card grants access to anything you desire — as long as it’s inside your room
* The Arrow key card features star Stephen Amell as the Arrow in an all-new in-character photo
* The Revolution key card opens hotel doors every time — no blackout here!

About the series:

666 Park Avenue: Anything you desire can be yours … for a price. Lost’s Terry O’Quinn and Desperate Housewives’ Vanessa Williams headline this scary, seductive drama from Alloy Entertainment as the owners of a Manhattan apartment building who recruit an idealistic young couple to manage the historic site with a dark history. The series also stars Rachael Taylor (Charlie’s Angels), Dave Annable (Brothers & Sisters), Robert Buckley (One Tree Hill), Mercedes Masohn (The Finder), Helena Mattsson (Iron Man 2) and Samantha Logan (Law & Order: SVU). Matthew Miller (Chuck), David Wilcox (Fringe), Leslie Morgenstein (The Vampire Diaries), Gina Girolamo (The Secret Circle) and Alex Graves (Fringe) are the executive producers. Based upon the book series by Gabriella Pierce and from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Alloy Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television, 666 Park Avenue will air Sundays at 10/9c on ABC this fall. Watch the full-length pilot at Warner Bros. Television’s Preview Night screening at Comic-Con on Wednesday, July 11, or during the 666 Park Avenue session on Friday, July 13.

Arrow: From executive producers Greg Berlanti (Green Lantern), Marc Guggenheim (Green Lantern), Andrew Kreisberg (Fringe) and David Nutter (Smallville), hard-hitting action series Arrow reinvents the DC Comics hero. After being marooned for five years on a remote island, billionaire Oliver Queen returns home with a mysterious agenda and a very lethal new set of skills that he uses in a war on crime. The series stars Stephen Amell (Private Practice), Colin Donnell (Pan Am), Katie Cassidy (Supernatural), David Ramsey (Dexter), Willa Holland (The O.C.) with Susanna Thompson (Dragonfly) and Paul Blackthorne (The River). From Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, Arrow is based upon characters appearing in comic books and graphic novels published by DC Comics and will air Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW this fall. Watch the full-length pilot at Warner Bros. Television’s Preview Night screening at Comic-Con on Wednesday, July 11, or during the Arrow session on Friday, July 13.

Revolution: What would you do without it all? In Revolution, an epic adventure thriller from Supernatural’s Eric Kripke, J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions and Iron Man’s Jon Favreau, a family struggles to reunite in a post-apocalyptic landscape of empty cities, local militias and heroic freedom fighters where every single piece of technology — phones, computers, cars, even lights — has mysteriously blacked out … forever. Revolution stars Billy Burke (Twilight films), Tracy Spiridakos (Being Human), Anna Lise Phillips (Animal Kingdom), Zak Orth (Wet Hot American Summer), Graham Rogers (Memphis Beat), J.D. Pardo (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), David Lyons (The Cape), Maria Howell (The Vampire Diaries) and Tim Guinee (Iron Man films) and is executive produced by Kripke, J.J. Abrams (Fringe) and Bryan Burk (Fringe). Favreau directed the pilot and will serve as co-executive producer of the series, with Kathy Lingg (Fringe) and producer Athena Wickham (Fringe). From Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Bad Robot Productions, Kripke Enterprises and Warner Bros. Television, Revolution will air Mondays at 10/9c on NBC this fall. Watch the full-length pilot at Warner Bros. Television’s Preview Night screening at Comic-Con on Wednesday, July 11, or during the Revolution session on Saturday, July 14.

Riese (Web Series)

In the novel “Riese: Kingdom Falling“, Riese has never been happy as a princess; she’d much rather be hunting or fighting than sitting through another lesson on court etiquette. When she meets Micah, a wandering artist with a mysterious past, she pretends to be a peasant—it’s a chance to be just a normal girl with a normal boy for a while. But with war decimating her once-proud nation and the sinister clockwork Sect infiltrating her mother’s court, Riese’s moments with Micah are the only islands of sanity left in a world gone mad. As her kingdom falls and the Sect grows ever stronger, will Riese remain true to her duty as a princess…or risk everything on a boy she barely knows?

Are you among the millions of superhero fans who want to see the long in gestation Wonder Woman film finally come to the big screen?

Well, you just might get to see that project come to fruition albeit through a fan-made film made possible by fan donations at Indiegogo.

This Wonder Woman fan film is based on the successful imagery by SuperHero Photography, which you can check out here.

The following is verbatim from the Indiegogo website for the fan-made Wonder Woman film:

Every fan loves a fan film: a labor of love that presents a unique point of view, pushing the boundaries of what movies are allowed to do. Iconic characters are the most symbolic and the most important, and we chose Wonder Woman because she is EPIC, and arguably the most controversial of all of DC’s most beloved characters! To our knowledge their isn’t yet a Wonder Woman Fan Film out there that has been able to do her justice and we want to give the fans something to go gaga over!!

After the explosion of comments, shares, interviews of Adam Jay’s Wonder Woman photo shoot with Sarah Scott, we decided this is the time ! Sarah will be playing the role for this fan film.

You can learn more about the fan made film and its efforts to raise the necessary funds needed to make the film by visiting their official website Indiegogo.

DISCLAIMER: Wonder Woman is the intellectual property of DC Comics/Time Warner. No infringement is meant! (They) are just looking to play in their sandbox. And I am just helping to spread the word!

The time is far past overdue for another actor spotlight; but let’s focus, this time, on actor and singer Neil Patrick Harris.

Neil, or NPH as he is known by his fans, grew up in New Mexico and was active in school plays and musicals during his school years. In 1988 playwright Mark Medoff discovered Neil at a drama camp in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He cast Neil in the film Clara’s Heart, which earned the child actor a Golden Globe nomination. That same year he starred in the children’s fantasy Purple People Eater and the TV movie Too Good to be True.

Neil - Doogie Howser Years

One year later, Neil appeared in the TV movies Cold Sassy Tree and Home Fires Burning before landing the role that would make him famous (and earn him another Golden Globe nomination): Doogie Howser, M.D. That TV series ran for four seasons, ending in 1993. During his years as Doogie, he appeared in the 1991 TV movie Stranger in the Family as well as episodes of Blossom, The Simpsons and Roseanne. In 1993 he guest starred in Murder, She Wrote and Quantum Leap and the TV movie A Family Torn Apart.

Over the course of the next few years, Neil starred in a number of TV movies, including the true story film Snowbound: The Jim and Jennifer Stolpa Story, The Man in the Attic, Not Our Son, My Antonia and Legacy of Sin: The William Coit Story. He also appeared in the little seen film Animal Room, which was his first film role as an adult.

Throughout 1996 into early 2000, he appeared in both TV and film roles, including guest appearances in The Outer Limits and Homicide: Life on the Street as well as the now cult classic 1997 box office film Starship Troopers. He also appeared in the box office film The Proposition and the TV movies The Christmas Wish and Joan of Arc and the short-lived comedy Stark Raving Mad.

For the next five years, Neil appeared in TV shows such as Will & Grace, Son of the Beach, Ed, Touched by an Angel, Boomtown, Law& Order: Criminal Intent, Numb3rs and Jack & Bobby. During this time, he also appeared in the TV movies The Wedding Dress and The Christmas Blessing as well as the box office films The Next Best Thing, Undercover Brother and Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle.

Neil - How I Met Your Mother

It was in 2005 where Neil’s next big TV series – How I Met Your Mother – came along. The series is now in its 7th season, which has obviously kept him busy; but he found time to appear in the 2008 box office film Harold & Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay and provided his voice for the films Beyond All Boundaries, Justice League: The New Frontier, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore. In 2010, he made a special guest appearance on the TV musicomedy Glee, singing the Aerosmith classic “Dream On” alongside series star Matthew Morrison; and last year he appeared in the box office films A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas, The Smurfs and Beastly as well as provided his voice in the animated film Rio.

TV and film are not Neil’s only fortes as he has appeared on stage, both on and off Broadway, since 1997. He got his start on the stage in the national tour of Rent in Los Angeles and San Diego followed by the lead role in Romeo and Juliet in 1998 in San Diego. In 2001, he appeared in Sweeney Todd and followed that with appearing in Proof the next year on Broadway alongside Anne Heche. In 2003, he appeared in Cabaret with Deborah Gibson and the late Tom Bosley. The next year he was on Broadway in the musical revival of Assassins and also performed in the tour company of the musical Rent. Four years later, he revisited Rent by directing a production of the musical at the Hollywood Bowl. And, last year he was the lead in Stephen Sondheim’s Company with the New York Philharmonic.

Neil appeared in the lead role in the web series sensation from Joss Whedon, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog and then hosted the 63rd Annual Tony Awards in June and that September he was the host of the 61st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. The following year he delivered the opening musical number for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards. That same year, Neil was honored by Time Magazine by being named to their list of the 100 most influential people of the year.

Neil - Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog

Neil has been nominated for countless awards including the Golden Globes, Teen Choice Awards, Young Artist Awards, Emmy Awards, Streamy Awards, Spike Video Game Awards, Golden Icon Awards and People’s Choice Awards. Among his wins over the course of his career have been as Best Young Actor in a TV series (for his work on Doogie Howser, M.D.), A-List Male Actor, Best Male Actor in a Comedy Web Series for his role in Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, an Emmy for his guest star role on Glee and a People’s Choice Award for Favorite TV Comedy actor (for his role on How I Met Your Mother).

Neil and his partner David Burtka became the parents of fraternal twins Gideon Scott and Harper Grace in October of 2010 via a surrogate.
