On March 15, the Hallmark Channel movie Return to Nim’s Island will debut at 8 PM.
Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin stars in this sequel about a now 14-year old Nim who is more determined than ever to protect her island and its wildlife.
The film also stars Matthew Lillard.

The Lifetime original movie Restless Virgins will debut on March 9 at 8 PM.
The film follows Emily (Vanessa Marano from Switched at Birth), a scholarship student and the editor of the school newspaper who struggles with the daily stresses of high school and adolescence: fitting in, getting into the right college and trying to find love. But when Emily discovers five senior members of the lacrosse team made a sex tape with a classmate, she blows the lid off the controversy by releasing the tape virally. The scandal made national headlines that shocked America, leading the elite school to expel multiple students, including a U.S. Senator’s son.
The cast includes Max Lloyd-Jones (Supernatural), Charlie Carver (Desperate Housewives) and Timothy Busfield (The West Wing).

On March 9, the Hallmark Movie Channel movie Our Wild Hearts will debut at 8 PM.
The film is a coming of age story about a sophisticated young girl Willow Johnson who leaves Malibu for the beautiful High Country of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in order to find her father Jack Thomas and potentially create a loving relationship with him. After she meets up with Jack, the young girl will discover her first love is a wild, but gifted mustang she names Bravo. The steed’s indomitable spirit helps Willow find a love for spontaneity and adventure with the father she thought she would never know.
The film is a family affair for actor-director Ricky Schroder, his wife Andrea and their children Cambrie, Holden, Luke and Faith.

The History Channel will also debut their new mini-series Vikings, consisting of 9 one-hour episodes, on March 3 at 10 PM.
The mini-series will follow historical figure Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel from Tarzan and The Beast) as he rises up the ranks to become King of the Viking tribes.
The cast includes box office star Gabriel Byrne, Jessalyn Gilsig (Glee), Gustaf Skarsgard (brother of Alexander Skarsgard) and Katheryn Winnick (Bones).

On March 3, the 10-hour five-part mini-series The Bible will air on the History Channel at 8 PM.
The mini-series will feature live-action and CGI scenes narrated by Emmy winner Keith David and featuring a musical score by Oscar winner Hans Zimmer. Among the cast is Roma Downey (Touched By An Angel), playing Mother Mary. Among the stories to be told are Noah’s Ark, the Exodus, Daniel in the Lion’s Den and the crucifixion/resurrection of Jesus.

Jack the Giant Slayer
Opens: March 1
This big-budget film is, of course, based on the classic fairytale story about Jack and the Beanstalk, following a young farmhand (Nicholas Hoult) who unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants bent on reclaiming the Earth they once lost – forcing the farmhand into the battle of his life to stop them. The cast includes Stanley Tucci, Ian McShane, Bill Nighy and Ewan McGregor.
Phantom
Opens: March 1
This Cold War thriller is set entirely onboard a Soviet submarine, starring Ed Harris as the captain of Soviet submarine B756, a man who has secretly been suffering from seizures that alter his perception of reality. Forced to leave his wife and daughter, he is rushed into this classified mission armed with a single ICBM, and a device that renders them invisible to sonar. The Captain soon discovers that he has been chosen for this mission in the belief he would fail. Challenged by a rogue KGB special forces group (David Duchovny) bent on seizing control of the missile, the fate of humanity is in his hands. The film co-stars William Fichtner, Lance Henriksen, Jonathon Schaech, Natasha McElhone and Sean Patrick Flanery.
Stoker
Opens: March 1
The film was written by actor Wentworth Miller (Prison Break) and focuses on what happens after to a young girl and her mother who, after the death of the young girl’s father, moves in with her enigmatic uncle. The cast includes Mia Wasikowska, Matthew Goode, Nicole Kidman, Dermot Mulroney, Jacki Weaver, Lucas Till and Alden Enrenreich.
Dead Man Down
Opens: March 8
Noomi Rapace plays a woman seeking retribution after she was left disfigured while Colin Farrell plays a professional killer and right-hand man to an underground crime lord (Terrence Howard) – the same crime lord responsible for Rapace’s injury. She seduces and blackmails the killer into taking out his boss, and their intense relationship leads to a violent plan for revenge. The cast includes Dominic Cooper and Isabelle Huppert.
Emperor
Opens: March 8
The story is set in the days immediately after the Japanese surrendered at the end of World War II. General Douglas MacArthur (Tommy Lee Jones) was made the de facto ruler of Japan as Supreme Commander of the occupying forces. Matthew Fox (Lost) will play General Bonner Fellers, a Japanese expert brought in to make a crucial decision – should Emperor Hirohito be tried and hanged as a war criminal?
Oz: The Great and Powerful
Opens: March 8
When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot, with fame and fortune his for the taking. That is, until he meets the witches Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz), and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. The film also stars Zach Braff, Joey King, Abigail Spencer and Bruce Campbell.
From Up On Poppy Hill
Opens: March 15
Set in 1963 Yokohama in the lead-up to the Tokyo Olympics the following year, the story follows a high school girl living in a boarding house. She and a boy who works for the newspaper club decide to clean up the school’s dilapidated ‘Latin Quarter’ clubhouse. Unfortunately the school’s chairman intends to demolish the building and they must try to persuade him to change his mind. Based on the 1980s manga, that features the voices of Sarah Bolger, Anton Yelchin, Ron Howard, Jeff Dunham, Gillian Anderson, Chris Noth, Isabelle Fuhrman, Emily Osment, Beau Bridges, Jamie Lee Curtis, Bruce Dern, Christina Hendricks and Aubrey Plaza.
The Call
Opens: March 15
The story begins when a 9-1-1 operator (Halle Berry) accidentally gets a young kidnapped woman murdered by serial killer. While she’s permanently affected by the horror of the incident, years later she gets her chance at redemption when she learns about another young woman (Abigail Breslin) that same killer had captured and works to save her. The film also stars Morris Chestnut, Michael Imperioli and Roma Maffia.
Upside Down
Opens: March 15
The story is set in an alternate reality where there are two separate worlds. One is inverted, affluent and hovering over the other. A humble guy from the world below (Jim Sturgess) holds on to the memory of a girl (Kirsten Dunst) he met in his youth from the world above. When he catches a glimpse of a grown-up version of her on television, nothing will stop him from getting her back – not even the laws of physics.
Love and Honor
Opens: March 22
Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games) plays a soldier fighting in the Vietnam war. He and a friend travel to Michigan on a week-long leave, and it is there that he falls in love with a hippie protester (Teresa Palmer from I Am Number Four). The guys soon debate going AWOL instead of returning to the war. The film also stars Aimee Teegarden (Friday Night Lights).
Olympus Has Fallen
Opens: March 22
Gerard Butler stars as a Secret Service agent pulled into an operation to rescue the U.S. President (Aaron Eckhart) after a team of North Korean operatives infiltrates the White House. The cast includes Morgan Freeman, Dylan McDermott and Ashley Judd.
The Croods
Opens: March 22
In this animated film, an earthquake forces a caveman to lead his family across a volatile world in search of a new home. This caveman is scared of anything new in life, keeping his family sheltered over the years. But now he’s forced to venture out into a dangerous world for the first time. Voices are provided by Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, Catherine Keener and Emma Stone.
G.I. Joe: Retaliation
Opens: March 29
The “Joes” are framed as traitors and are all seemingly wiped out; but the few that remain must stop Cobra from taking control of nuclear missiles and launching them at various cities. The cast includes Dwayne Johnson, Channing Tatum, Bruce Willis, Adrianne Palicki and Ray Stevenson.
The Host
Opens: March 29
Based on the book by Twilight author Stephenie Meyer, the film follows one young woman named Melanie Stryder (Saoirse Ronan), who has been inhabited by a Soul called ‘Wanderer,’ but Melanie refuses to fade away. Wanderer soon starts to see Melanie’s memories and eventually finds a connection with her. The pair then decides to set off together and find Melanie’s loved ones. The cast includes Jake Abel, Max Irons and Frances Fisher.
The Place Beyond the Pines
Opens: March 29
This is a multi-generational story of a motorcycle stunt rider (Ryan Gosling), who considers committing a crime in order to provide for his newborn child, an act that puts him on a collision course with a cop-turned-politician (Bradley Cooper). The cast includes Eva Mendes, Rose Byrne, Dane DeHaan, Bruce Greenwood and Ray Liotta.

The HBO mini-series Parade’s End will debut on February 26 at 9 PM.
Married to Sylvia (Rebecca Hall), a callous socialite who has given birth to a child that may not be his, English aristocrat Christopher Tietjens (Benedict Cumberbatch from Sherlock) becomes entranced by Valentine Wannop (Adelaide Clemens), a fearless young woman who unexpectedly turns his world upside down. As war breaks out across Europe, Christopher, compelled by an outmoded code of conduct, feels obligated to remain loyal to his wife as he leaves a heartbroken Valentine to fight in France.
Christopher struggles to adapt to his new life as an army officer. When he returns to England briefly, suffering from shell shock, he is alarmed to discover himself the target of vicious rumors. Rejected by his father and brother, alienated from Sylvia, with only Valentine to support him, he attempts to hold on to sanity and meaning as the old world order collapses amidst tremendous upheaval.
The cast also includes Rupert Everett, Janet McTeer and Miranda Richardson.

On February 16, the new Lifetime movie Pastor Brown will debut at 8 PM.
This made-for-TV follows a young woman (Salli Richardson-Whitfield from Eureka) who returns home to take over as pastor of the family church after her father’s (Keith David from The Cape) death and is forced to face her sordid past and mend fences with her son (Michael B. Jordan from Friday Night Lights) and sister (Nicole Ari Parker from Soul Food).
The cast includes Rockmund Dunbar (Prison Break – who also directed the film), Tisha Campbell-Martin (The Protector), Ernie Hudson (Oz) and Michael Beach (Third Watch).
