On September 22, the new FOX drama Pitch will debut at 9 PM.

The series follows a young pitcher who becomes the first woman to play Major League Baseball. Ginny Baker (Kylie Bunbury from Under The Dome and Twisted) is vaulted into instant fame when she’s called up by the San Diego Padres to make her Major League debut.

The cast includes Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Franklin & Bash), Ali Larter (Legends and Heroes), Dan Lauria (The Wonder Years) and Mark Consuelos (All My Children and Queen of the South).

The new FOX drama Lethal Weapon (based on the box office film) will debut at 8 PM on September 21.

The small screen adaptation follows classic cop duo Marin Riggs (Clayne Crawford from Rectify) and Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans, Sr. from My Wife and Kids), who are working a crime-ridden beat in modern-day Los Angeles.

The cast includes Jordana Brewster (Fast and Furious franchise and Dallas), Keesha Sharp (The People V. O.J. Simpson) and Kevin Rahm (Madam Secretary).

On September 21, the new ABC drama Designated Survivor will debut at 10 PM.

Kiefer Sutherland stars as Tom Kirkman, a lower-level cabinet member who unexpectedly becomes President after a devastating attack on Washington. He will struggle to prevent the country and his own family from falling into chaos, as he is thrust into one of the most difficult presidencies in history.

The cast also includes Natascha McElhone (Californication), Maggie Q (Nikita), Italia Ricci (Chasing Life and Supergirl), Adan Canto (The Following), Kal Penn (Deadbeat and House), LaMonica Garrett (The Last Ship) and Tanner Buchanan (The Fosters).

Right in the middle of the premieres of the CBS shows NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans (airing at 8 PM and 10 PM respectively), will be the debut of the new drama Bull at 9 PM.

The drama is inspired by the early career of Dr. Phil McGraw, the founder of one of the most prolific trial consulting firms of all time. Brilliant, brash and charming, Dr. Bull (former NCIS star Michael Weatherly) is the ultimate puppet master as he combines psychology, human intuition and high tech data to learn what makes jurors, attorneys, witnesses and the accused tick.

The cast includes Freddy Rodriguez (Six Feet Under and The Night Shift) and Jaime Lee Kirchner (Mercy).

On September 20, the new NBC drama This Is Us will debut at 10 PM.

The series follows a unique ensemble whose paths cross and their life stories intertwine in curious ways. We find several of them share the same birthday, and so much more than anyone would expect.

NOTE: There is a twist ending to this series so pay close attention to all of the characters and the dialogue.

The cast includes Mandy Moore (A Walk to Remember), Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes), Sterling K. Brown (Army Wives and The People V. O.J. Simpson) and Justin Hartley (Smallville).

Quarry

On September 9, the new Cinemax series Quarry will debut at 10 PM.

The 8-episode series is based on the best-selling books by Max Allan Collins about U.S. Marine Mac Conway who returns home to Memphis from Vietnam in 1972, finding himself shunned by those he loves and demonized by the public he fought for. While struggling with the nightmarish experiences he witnessed and took part in, Conway is unwillingly drawn into a network of killing that spans the length of the Mississippi River.

The cast includes Logan Marshall-Green (24 and The Traveler), Jodi Balfour (Bomb Girls), Nikki Amuka-Bird (Luther), Josh Randall (Ed) and Damon Herriman (Justified).

Queen.Sugar

The new OWN drama Queen Sugar will debut on September 6 and September with a two-night series premiere at 10 PM each night.

The series follows the life of two sisters, Nova Bordelon (Rutina Wesley from True Blood), a formidable journalist and activist from New Orleans, and Charley Bordelon (Dawn-Lyen Gardner from Star Wars: The Clone Wars), a modern woman, who, with her teenage son Micah, leaves her upscale apartment in Los Angeles and moves to the heart of Louisiana to claim an inheritance from her recently departed father: an 800-acre sugarcane farm.

The cast also includes Bianca Lawson (Rogue), Greg Vaughn (Days of Our Lives) and Dondre Whitfield (All My Children and Mistresses) [among others].

On September 6, the 10-episode streaming series StartUp will debut on Crackle (with a new episode airing each Tuesday).

Chesapeake Shores

The new Hallmark Channel series Chesapeake Shores will debut on August 14 at 9 PM.

Based on the best-selling books by Sherryl Woods, this multi-generational family drama focuses on Abby O’Brien (Meghan Ory from Once Upon a Time), a high-powered career woman, divorcee and mother to twin daughters, who makes a trip from New York City to her hometown of Chesapeake Shores. Her visit home brings Abby face to face with her past, including her high school sweetheart Trace (Jesse Metcalfe from Dallas), her uncompromising father Mick (Treat Williams from Everwood) and her esteemed grandmother Nell (Diane Ladd from Wild At Heart). Abby realizes the toll her career has taken on her ability to be a hands-on mother to her daughters, and considers a permanent move to Chesapeake Shores.

The show will also star Barbara Niven (Cedar Cove).

The Get Down

The new Netflix series The Get Down will debut online on August 12.

The series follow a rag-tag crew of South Bronx teenagers in a broken down and beaten up, violent New York City at the brink of bankruptcy, which gave birth to hip-hop, punk and disco – a story told through the lives and music of the South Bronx kids who changed the city, and the world forever.

The cast includes relative newcomers Justice Smith, Herizen Guardiola, Shameik Moore, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and T.J. Brown, Jr. as well as Skylan Brooks (Southpaw), Jimmy Smits (NYPD Blue) and Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad and Once Upon a Time).
