The.Family

A special preview of the new ABC drama The Family will air on March 3 at 9 PM.

This thriller follows the return of a politician’s young son who was presumed dead after disappearing over a decade earlier. As the mysterious young man is welcomed back into his family, suspicions emerge: is he really who he says he is?

The cast includes Joan Allen (The Bourne franchise), Andrew McCarthy (the classic film Pretty in Pink), Alison Pill (The Newsroom), Liam James (The Way Way Back), Zach Gilford (Friday Night Lights), Rupert Graves (Sherlock), Floriana Lima (Allegiance and The Mob Doctor) and Margot Bingham (Boardwalk Empire).

11-22-63

The new Hulu 9-hour streaming series 11-22-63 will debut online on February 15.

High school history teacher Jake Epping (James Franco) travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy – but his mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, falling in love and the past itself, which doesn’t want to be changed.

The cast includes film star Chris Cooper, Josh Duhamel (the Transformers franchise), T.R. Knight (Grey’s Anatomy), Cherry Jones (24 and Transparent) and Sarah Gadon (Dracula Untold) [among others].

Recovery Road

On January 25, the new drama Recovery Road will debut on FreeForm (formerly ABC Family) at 9 PM.

Based on the popular young adult novel by Blake Nelson, the series focuses on a teenage girl dealing with addiction. Maddie (newcomer Jessica Sula) has a reputation as a party girl who doesn’t think she has a problem, until she’s confronted one day by her school guidance counselor and is forced to choose between expulsion and rehab. Maddie makes the difficult decision to live with other recovering addicts at a sober living facility while facing the daily pressures of her teenage life.

The cast includes Kyla Pratt (Dr. Doolittle movies) and Sharon Leal (Hellcats and the movie Dreamgirls).

The Magicians

The new Syfy drama The Magicians will air two back-to-back episode on January 25 at 9 PM.

The series centers on Quentin (Jason Ralph from Aquarius and Manhattan), a brilliant grad student chosen to attend Brakebills College for Magical Pedagogy, a secret upstate New York university specializing in magic. He and his 20-something friends soon discover that the magical fantasy world they read about as children is all too real – and poses grave danger to humanity.

The cast includes Stella Maeve (Chicago P.D.), Arjun Gupta (How to Get Away With Murder), Olivia Taylor Dudley (Chernobyl Diaries), Hale Applebaum (Teeth) and Summer Bishil (The Last Airbender).

Lucifer

On January 25, the new drama Lucifer will debut on FOX at 9 PM.

Based upon the characters from DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint, the series tells the story of Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis from Downton Abbey), the Lord of Hell, who has abandoned his throne and retired to L.A. When he is introduced to LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German from Chicago Fire), Lucifer becomes intrigued by her compassion for humanity, which causes a struggle between his temptation toward the side of Good and his original calling toward Evil.

The cast includes D.B. Woodside (Scandal), Kevin Alejandro (Ugly Betty), Lesley-Ann Brandt (The Librarians) and Rachael Harris (Suits).

Beowulf

The new drama Beowulf will debut on Esquire on January 23 at 10 PM.

Based on the legendary English poem over a thousand years old, Beowulf (Kieran Bew from Da Vinci’s Demons) tells the story of a disillusioned and damaged hero. This drama will chronicle Beowulf’s return to his home Herot, to make peace with his past. Unwittingly in search of a cause to believe in and a community to fight for, Beowulf finds himself wrongly accused of murder and hunts down the true perpetrator to avenge the death of his fellow kinsmen.

Beowulf becomes Herot’s tough but unconventional hero, responsible for upholding the law and protecting the town from danger. The last of a dying breed, Beowulf is a man capable of shaping the world around him by his actions and force of will. While this may seem like a familiar tale, Beowulf unearths the full story of the complicated, driven man behind the lore.

The cast includes Joanne Whalley (Wolf Hall), Ed Speelers (Downton Abbey), Laura Donnelly (Outlander) and David Ajala (Black Box).

London Spy

On January 21, the new BBC America limited series London Spy will debut at 10 PM.

The five-part mystery begins with a chance romance between two people from two very different walks of life: one from the high-powered ranks of investment banking and the other from a world of clubbing and youthful excess. But their love story quickly unravels when the reclusive banker disappears under suspicious circumstances, exposing his real identity as a spy and forcing his lover down a dark path to reveal the truth.

The cast includes Ben Whishaw (Spectre), Jim Broadbent (Iris), Charlotte Rampling (Broadchurch) and newcomer Edward Holcroft (Wolf Hall).

Legends of Tomorrow Cast

The new drama DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will debut on The CW on January 21 at 8 PM.

When heroes aren’t enough, the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill from Doctor Who) is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only the planet is at stake, but all of time itself. The new Showtime drama Billions will debut on January 17 at 10 PM.

Shrewd, savvy U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti from Saving Mr. Banks) and the brilliant, ambitious hedge fund king Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Damian Lewis from Homeland) are on an explosive collision course, with each using all of his considerable smarts, power and influence to outmaneuver the other.

Colony

The USA Network drama Colony will debut on January 14 at 10 PM.

Set in the very near future, the series centers on one family’s struggle to survive and bring liberty back to the people of an occupied Los Angeles. Josh Holloway (Lost and Intelligence) stars as former FBI agent Will Bowman and Sarah Wayne Callies (The Walking Dead and Prison Break) stars as his wife, Katie, which takes place in a dangerous world of divided ideologies.

While some choose to collaborate with the occupation and benefit from the new order, others rebel and suffer the consequences. After being separated from their son during the invasion, Will and Katie are willing to do whatever is necessary to be reunited with him.

Thus, when the powerful Proxy Snyder (Peter Jacobson from House) offers Will a chance to get his son back if he will collaborate with the occupational government, Will and Katie find themselves faced with the toughest decision of their lives. They will have to go beyond whatever they thought possible, risking their lives and their relationship to protect their family.

The cast also includes Amanda Righetti (The Mentalist) and Tory Kittles (True Detective and Sons of Anarchy).
