The following is a list of the returning and the new fall TV shows as well as a few marathons of episodes for a couple of the summer shows that will be airing this week:

* Desperate Housewives will be back for one final season on ABC on September 25 at 9 PM.

* The new drama Pan Am will debut on ABC on September 25 at 10 PM.

* The Good Wife will move to its new night (Sundays) at 9 PM followed by the return of CSI: Miami at 10 PM on CBS both on September 25.

* Boardwalk Empire will be back on HBO for its second season at 9 PM on September 25.

* Gossip Girl will now appear at 8 PM on the CW starting on September 26.

* There will be a marathon of episodes of Alphas on Syfy (check local listings for airtimes), leading to the finale at 10 PM on September 26.

* The new drama Hart of Dixie will debut on September 26 on The CW at 9 PM.

* The new series Terra Nova will debut on FOX at 8 PM on September 26.

* Luther will be back on with new episodes on BBC America at 10 PM on September 28.

* Private Practice will be back on September 29 at 10 PM on ABC.

* There will be a marathon of episodes of Haven on Syfy (check local listings for airtimes), leading to the finale at 10 PM on September 30.

Terra Nova

The new series Terra Nova will debut on FOX at 8 PM on September 26.

Show Synopsis: The show follows an ordinary family on an incredible journey back in time to prehistoric Earth as a small part of a daring experiment to save the human race. In the year 2149, the world is dying. The planet is overdeveloped and overcrowded, with the majority of plant and animal life extinct. The future of mankind is in doubt, and its only hope for survival is in the distant past. When scientists unexpectedly discover a fracture in time that made it possible to construct a portal into primeval history, the bold notion is born to resettle humanity in the past – a second chance to rebuild civilization and get it right this time. Hart of Dixie

The new series Hart of Dixie will debut on The CW at 9 PM on September 26.

Show Synopsis: Fast-talking New Yorker and brand new doctor Zoe Hart (Rachel Bilson) has it all figured out. After graduating top of her class from medical school, she will follow in her father’s footsteps, becoming a cardio-thoracic surgeon. But when her dreams fall apart, she decides to accept an offer from a stranger, Dr. Harley Wilkes, to work with him at his small practice in Bluebell, Alabama. Things go quite awry once she ends up in the Hart of Dixie, though. The cast includes Jamie King, Wilson Bethel, Cress Williams, McKaley Miller and Scott Porter.

Pan Am

The new drama Pan Am will debut on ABC at 10 PM on September 25.

Show Synopsis: In the “modern world” of the 1960’s, air travel represents the height of luxury and Pan Am is the biggest name in the business. The planes are glamorous, the pilots are rock stars and the stewardesses are the most desirable women in the world. There is Dean (Mike Vogel), a cocky, charismatic and ambitious new pilot, who is secretly dating stewardess Bridget (Annabelle Wallis), a stunning beauty with a mysterious past; rebellious bohemian Maggie (Christina Ricci) who turns into a buttoned-up pro so she can travel the world; flirtatious Colette (Karine Vanasse), adventurous Kate (Kelli Garner) and her younger beauty queen sister Laura (Margot Robbie).

A Gifted Man

The new medical drama A Gifted Man will debut on September 23 at 8 PM on CBS.

The show is about surgeon Michael Holt (Patrick Wilson), who is an exceptional doctor living a materialistic life of luxury thanks to his work-obsessed career and powerful and wealthy patients. But, his ordered world is rocked when his ex-wife, Anna (Jennifer Ehle), an idealistic free-clinic doctor and the love of his life, mysteriously appears to him – SPOILER ALERT – (after being killed in an accident). The cast includes Margo Martindale and Julie Benz (in a recurring role as Michael’s sister).

Prime Suspect

The new drama Prime Suspect will debut on NBC at 10 PM on September 22.

Based on the popular UK series, Jane Timoney (Maria Bello) is a New York homicide detective in a male-dominated police department. She’s an outsider who was just transferred to a new precinct where a fraternity of cops isn’t willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. The rest of the cast includes Aidan Quinn, Brian O’Byrne, Tim Griffin, Kirk Acevedo, Joe Nieves, Damon Gupton and Peter Gerety.

Person of Interest

The new series Person of Interest will debut on September 22 on CBSat 9 PM.

This crime thriller chronicles the life of a presumed dead former CIA agent (Jim Caviezel) who teams up with a mysterious billionaire (Michael Emerson) to prevent violent crimes by using their own brand of vigilante justice. Using state-of-the-art surveillance technology, the two work outside of the law using Reese’s adept skills and Finch’s unlimited wealth to unravel the mystery of the person of interest and stop the crime before it happens. Other cast members include Taraji P. Henson and Kevin Chapman.

Cast of Charlie's Angels

The remake of the classic 70’s series Charlie’s Angels will debut on ABC at 8 PM on September 22.

Set in Miami (and, of course, based on the 1970’s classic series), three new angels are recruited by anonymous millionaire Charlie Townsend to solve crimes. There’s Abby (Rachael Taylor), a Park Avenue princess who became a world-class thief. Then there’s Kate (Annie Ilonzeh), a Miami cop who fell from grace, losing both her career and her fiancé; and Eve (Minka Kelly), a street racer with a mysterious past. Ramon Rodriguez is Bosley.

Cast of Revenge

The new drama Revenge will debut on ABC on September 21 at 10 PM.

Emily Thorne (Emily Van Camp) is new to the Hamptons. She’s met some of her wealthy neighbors, has made a few new friends and seemingly blends into the town. But something is a little odd about a young girl living in a wealthy town all on her own, and the truth is that Emily isn’t exactly new to the neighborhood. In fact, this was once her old neighborhood, until something bad happened that ruined her family and their reputation. Now Emily is back, and she’s returned to right some of those wrongs in the best way she knows how – with a vengeance. The rest of the cast includes Madeleine Stowe, Gabriel Mann, Henry Czerny, Nick Wechsler, Ashley Madekwe, Josh Bowman, Christa B. Allen and Connor Paolo.
