The new limited series Brand New Cherry Flavor will debut online on Netflix on August 13.

A filmmaker (Rosa Salazar) heads to Hollywood in the early ‘90s to make her movie but tumbles down a hallucinatory rabbit hole of sex, magic, revenge, and (oddly) kittens.

The film also stars Catherine Keener.

On August 11, the debut of the 11-episode animated series What If…? will air on Disney+ online.

The animated series explores what would happen if major moments from the Marvel Cinematic Universe occurred differently, featuring a voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their roles.

On August 10, the FOX reboot of Fantasy Island will debut at 9 PM.

A modern take on the classic 1970’s-1980’s series is set at a luxury resort, where literally any fantasy requested by guests is fulfilled, although they rarely turn out as expected. Serving as steward of this mysterious island is Elena Roarke (Roselyn Sanchez from Devious Maids and Grand Hotel), a descendant of the iconic Mr. Roarke, who set aside her own ambitions, and the love of her life, to uphold her family’s legacy.

Ruby Okoro (Kiara Barnes from The Bold and the Beautiful), is Elena’s assistant, a young woman with an old soul who arrives on Fantasy Island with a terminal illness and is given a new lease on life there; and Javier (John Gabriel Rodriquez from Rosewood) is the head of island transportation and a jack of all trades.

On August 6, the new Netflix drama Hit & Run will debut online.

In this new action thriller, the life of a happily married man (Israelian actor Lior Raz) is turned upside down when his wife is killed in a mysterious hit and run accident in Tel Aviv. Grief-stricken and confused, he searches for his wife’s killers. With the help of an ex-lover (Sanaa Lathan from the box office movie Something New), he uncovers disturbing truths about his beloved wife and the secrets she kept from him.

The Disney+ small screen adaptation of Turner & Hooch will debut online on July 21.

Josh Peck stars as Scott Turner, the son of Detective Scott Turner (Tom Hanks in the original movie), who inherits a big unruly dog. Soon, Scott realizes the dog he didn’t want may be the partner he needs.

The cast includes Brandon Jay McLaren (Ranson), Anthony Ruivivar (Third Watch), Lyndsy Fonseca (Nikita) and Vanessa Lengies (Glee).

On July 18, the Starz drama Power Book III: Raising Kanan will debut at 8 PM.

The prequel story that takes viewers back to the ’90s and the early years of iconic “Power” character Kanan Stark (Mekai Curtis).

On July 16, the new Syfy thriller series SurrealEstate will debut at 10 PM.

The series follows realtor Nick Roman (Tim Rozon from Wynonna Earp) and an elite team of specialists that handle the cases no one else can: haunted and possessed houses that literally scare would-be buyers away. Researching, investigating and “fixing” the things that go bump in the night, the team works to create closure – and closings — even as they struggle with demons of their own.

The cast includes Sarah Levy (Schitt’s Creek), Savannah Basley (Wynonna Earp), Adam Korson (Imposters) and Maurice Dean Wint (Haven).

On July 15, the American Horror Story spin-off of the long-running Ryan Murphy anthology – American Horror Stories – will debut on FX on Hulu online.

The series will feature self-contained anthological episodes, instead of a season-long story arc, but no other specifics have been announced.

Among the cast will be Danny Trejo, Merrin Dungey, Kaia Gerber, Paris Jackson, Charles Melton, Ronen Rubinstein and Kevin McHale.

The new Peacock drama Dr. Death will debut online on July 15.

Based on the hit podcast, the series is inspired by the terrifying true story of Dr. Christopher Duntsch (Joshua Jackson), a rising star in the Dallas medical community. Young, charismatic and ostensibly brilliant, Dr. Duntsch was building a flourishing neurosurgery practice when everything suddenly changed. Patients entered his operating room for complex but routine spinal surgeries and left permanently maimed or dead.

As victims piled up, two fellow physicians, neurosurgeon Robert Henderson (Alec Baldwin) and vascular surgeon Randall Kirby (Christian Slater), as well as Dallas prosecutor Michelle Shughart (AnnaSophia Robb), set out to stop him.

Grace Gummer also stars.
