On May 7, the Sundance Now streaming series Bad Mothers will debut online.

Sarah’s (Tess Haubrich), suburban bliss is destroyed when her husband has an affair with her best friend, Charlotte (Melissa George from Alias and Hunted), head of the Bedford Mothers’ Club. Ousted from the snooty club, Sarah finds unexpected support among the titular Bad Mothers. The new friends exact revenge on Charlotte, which leads to deadly results.

The new NBC drama Council of Dads debuted back on March 24; and it’s official timeslot premiere will take place on April 30 at 9 PM. In fact, the pilot episode will encore at 8 PM that night followed by the second episode.

Here is the synopsis of the show again as a reminder:

When a loving father of four has his entire life’s plan thrown into upheaval by an unexpected health scare, he calls on a few of his closest allies to step in as back-up dads for every stage of his growing family’s life. Scott assembles a trusted group of role models that includes Anthony (Clive Standen), his oldest friend; Larry (Michael O’Neill), his AA sponsor; and Oliver (J. August Richards), his surgeon and best friend to his wife, Robin. These men agree to devote themselves to supporting and guiding Scott’s amazing family through all the triumphs and challenges life has to offer – just in case he ever can’t be there to do so himself.

The show will also star Sarah Wayne Callies and Tom Everett Scott.

The series premiere of Penny Dreadful: City of Angels will debut on Showtime on April 26 at 10:10 PM.

The series is set in 1938 opens in 1938 Los Angeles, a time and place deeply infused with social and political tension. When a grisly murder shocks the city, Detective Tiago Vega (Daniel Zovatto) and his partner Lewis Michener (Nathan Lane) become embroiled in an epic story that reflects the rich history of Los Angeles: from the building of the city’s first freeways and its deep traditions of Mexican-American folklore, to the dangerous espionage actions of the Third Reich and the rise of radio evangelism. The new Hulu drama Mrs. America will debut online on April 15.

The drama the story of the movement to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), and the unexpected backlash led by a conservative woman named Phyllis Schlafly (Cate Blanchett). Through the eyes of the women of that era – both Schlafly and second wave feminists Gloria Steinem (Rose Byrne), Betty Friedan (Tracey Ullman), Shirley Chisholm, (Uzo Aduba) Bella Abzug (Margo Martindale) and Jill Ruckelshaus (Elizabeth Banks) – the series explores how one of the toughest battlegrounds in the culture wars of the 70s helped give rise to the Moral Majority and forever shifted our political landscape.
