chance

October 19, the Hulu streaming series Chance will debut online.

Based on Kem Nunn’s novel, the series is a provocative psychological thriller, focusing on Eldon Chance (Hugh Laurie from House and The Night Manager), a San Francisco-based forensic neuropsychiatrist who reluctantly gets sucked into a violent and dangerous world of mistaken identity, police corruption and mental illness.

The cast includes Diane Farr (Numb3rs and Roswell), Lisa Gay Hamilton (The Practice and Men of a Certain Age), Gretchen Mol (Boardwalk Empire), Paul Adelstein (Prison Break and Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce), Ethan Suplee (My Name Is Earl) and Clarke Peters (The Wire).

Killing Reagan is the latest movie on National Geographic that will debut on October 16 at 8 PM.

The two-hour movie is based on the best-selling book by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard, chronicling the events of the Reagan assassination attempt by John Hinckley, Jr.

Tim Matheson (The West Wing and Burn Notice) will star as Ronald Reagan, Cynthia Nixon (Sex and the City) will star as Nancy Reagan and Kyle Moore (Brooklyn Nine-Nine and CSI) as Hinckley.

On October 16, the new USA Network drama Eyewitness will debut at 10 PM.

When two innocent teen-aged boys secretly meet up in the forest, they bear witness to a shooting and barely escape with their lives. Desperate to keep their relationship a secret and in fear of being found by the perpetrator, they remain silent but soon learn that what has been seen cannot be unseen and when you witness a horrible event it changes everything, forever.

The cast includes Julianne Nicholson (The Red Road), Gil Bellows (Ally McBeal), Warren Christie (Alphas and Motive) and relative newcomers Tyler Young and James Paxton.

The new EPIX drama Berlin Station will debut on October 16 at 9 PM.

The series revolves around Daniel Meyer (Richard Armitage from The Hobbit franchise and Hannibal), who has just arrived at the CIA foreign station in Berlin, Germany. His mission is to uncover the source of a leak who has supplied information to a now-famous whistleblower named Thomas Shaw. Guided by jaded veteran Hector DeJean (Rhys Ifans from The Amazing Spider-Man), he learns to contend with the world of the field agent — agent-running, deception, the dangers and moral compromises.

The cast includes Richard Jenkins (Olive Kitteridge and Jack Reacher), Michelle Forbes (The Killing and Battlestar Galactica), Tamlyn Tomita (Teen Wolf and The Day After Tomorrow) and Leland Orser (Ray Donovan and the Taken movie franchise).

On October 15, the new Lifetime movie Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le will debut at 8 PM.

Discovered at a young age, the shy, squeaky-voiced Michel’le (Rhyon Nicole Brown) was plucked straight from South Central, Los Angeles and catapulted into the spotlight while riding N.W.A.’s rocket ride of early success. Surrounded by industry visionaries from Eazy-E to Tupac Shakur, Michel’le quickly climbed the charts; but, her musical successes were soon overshadowed by betrayal and corruption.

A nearly decade-long romance with the infamous Dr. Dre (Curtis Hamilton) pushed her into a life tarnished by alcohol, drugs and violence until her savior came in the unlikely form of Suge Knight (R. Marcos Taylor), co-founder of Death Row Records and Dre’s business partner. Friendship would turn into a courtly romance, but the union Michel’le thought they had did not end happily-ever-after.

Pumpkin Pie Wars is the latest, new Hallmark Channel movie that will on October 15 debut at 9 PM.

Ten years ago, Faye and Lydia each opened their own bakeries in Emeryville, Ohio, after a personal and professional fall-out during a local Pumpkin Pie contest.

Now their children, and co-workers, Casey (Julie Gonzalo from Dallas and Veronica Mars) and Sam (Eric Aragon from The Perfect Wedding), are set to carry on the rivalry as they go head-to-head in the same contest. There’s only problem for these two people who are supposed to hate each other, they start to fall in love.

On October 13, the new USA Network drama Falling Water will debut at 10 PM.

The mind-bending drama follows the story of three unrelated people, who slowly realize that they are dreaming separate parts of a single common dream. Each of them is on a mysterious and highly personal quest — one is searching for his missing girlfriend (David Ajala from Beowulf), one is searching for a lost child (Lizzie Brochere from The Strain and American Horror Story), one is looking to cure his catatonic mother (Will Yun Lee from Hawaii Five-0) — and it is the clues found in their collective dream that come to guide them.

October 5, the debut of the new drama Frequency will air on The CW at 9 PM.

In 2016, NYPD Detective Raimy Sullivan (Peyton List from The Flash and The Tomorrow People) discovers that she is able to speak to her deceased father Frank Sullivan (Riley Smith from Nashville and True Blood) in 1996 via his old ham radio. Her attempts to save his life trigger the “butterfly effect,” changing the present in unforeseen ways. To fix the damage, she must work with her father across time to solve a decades-old murder case.

The series also stars Mekhi Phifer (ER) and Devin Kelley (Resurrection).
