The FOX thriller The Exorcist, based on the classic film of the same name, will debut on September 23 at 9 PM.

The series follows two very different priests tackling one family’s case of horrifying demonic possession.

macgyver

On September 23, the reboot of the classic series MacGyver will debut at 8 PM on CBS.

A new adaptation of the classic series, this version focuses on 20-something Angus “Mac” MacGyver (Lucas Till from The X-Men franchise) who creates a clandestine organization within the U.S. government where he uses his extraordinary talent for unconventional problem solving and vast scientific knowledge to save lives. Joining his team on high-risk missions around the globe is maverick former CIA agent Jack Dalton (George Eads from CSI) and Patricia Thornton (Sandrine Holt from The Returned), ex-field agent turned director of operations and Riley Davis (Tristin Mays from The Vampire Diaries), an unpredictable computer hacker with a chip on her shoulder. At home, MacGyver is entertained by his ambitious roommate, Wilt Bozer (Justin Hires from Rush Hour). Under the aegis of the Department of External Services, MacGyver takes on the responsibility of saving the world, armed to the teeth with resourcefulness and little more than bubble gum and a paper clip.

The new Syfy thriller Van Helsing will air its double episode debut on September 23 at 10 PM.

The series revolves around unlikely heroine Vanessa Helsing (Kelly Overton from True Blood), who unexpectedly discovers that she holds the key to humanity’s survival: her own blood. Gifted with not only an immunity to vampires, Vanessa is also capable of taking out her bloodthirsty foes by turning them into humans with her bite. Now both prey and predator, Vanessa sinks her teeth into her role as humanity’s leader – and secret weapon – in their resistance against the vampires that plagued their world.

The new ABC drama Notorious will be taking over the 9 PM timeslot on September 22, airing its series debut.

This series is inspired by the true-life stories of famed criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos and cable news producer Wendy Walker with Piper Perabo (Covert Affairs) and Daniel Sunjata (Graceland) in the lead roles.

The cast includes Aimee Teegarden (Friday Night Lights), J. August Richards (Angel and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) Kevin Zegers (The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones) and Ryan Guzman (Step Up, Heroes Reborn and Pretty Little Liars).

On September 22, the new FOX drama Pitch will debut at 9 PM.

The series follows a young pitcher who becomes the first woman to play Major League Baseball. Ginny Baker (Kylie Bunbury from Under The Dome and Twisted) is vaulted into instant fame when she’s called up by the San Diego Padres to make her Major League debut.

The cast includes Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Franklin & Bash), Ali Larter (Legends and Heroes), Dan Lauria (The Wonder Years) and Mark Consuelos (All My Children and Queen of the South).

The new FOX drama Lethal Weapon (based on the box office film) will debut at 8 PM on September 21.

The small screen adaptation follows classic cop duo Marin Riggs (Clayne Crawford from Rectify) and Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans, Sr. from My Wife and Kids), who are working a crime-ridden beat in modern-day Los Angeles.

Kiefer Sutherland stars as Tom Kirkman, a lower-level cabinet member who unexpectedly becomes President after a devastating attack on Washington. He will struggle to prevent the country and his own family from falling into chaos, as he is thrust into one of the most difficult presidencies in history.

Right in the middle of the premieres of the CBS shows NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans (airing at 8 PM and 10 PM respectively), will be the debut of the new drama Bull at 9 PM.

The drama is inspired by the early career of Dr. Phil McGraw, the founder of one of the most prolific trial consulting firms of all time. Brilliant, brash and charming, Dr. Bull (former NCIS star Michael Weatherly) is the ultimate puppet master as he combines psychology, human intuition and high tech data to learn what makes jurors, attorneys, witnesses and the accused tick.

The cast includes Freddy Rodriguez (Six Feet Under and The Night Shift) and Jaime Lee Kirchner (Mercy).

On September 20, the new NBC drama This Is Us will debut at 10 PM.

The series follows a unique ensemble whose paths cross and their life stories intertwine in curious ways. We find several of them share the same birthday, and so much more than anyone would expect.

NOTE: There is a twist ending to this series so pay close attention to all of the characters and the dialogue.

The cast includes Mandy Moore (A Walk to Remember), Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes), Sterling K. Brown (Army Wives and The People V. O.J. Simpson) and Justin Hartley (Smallville).

The new Lifetime movie Sister Cities will debut on September 17 at 8 PM.

When their ASL-stricken mother Mary (Jacki Weaver from Animal Kingdom) drowns in her bathtub, her four daughters – all from different fathers, different lifestyles and different mommy issues – are reluctantly reunited in the small town where they grew up. They are not pleased when Mary’s death turns out to be shrouded in enough mystery, causing the local police chief (Tom Everett Scott from Reign and Z Nation) sequester them in their ancestral home, forcing them to hash out their checkered memories. Mary is played by Amy Smart (The Butterfly Effect and the Crank franchise) plays Mary in flashbacks.

The four daughters will be played by Jess Wexler (The Good Wife), Michelle Trachtenberg (Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl), Stana Katic (Castle) and Troian Bellisario (Pretty Little Liars).
