It is that time again, time to go over the cable ratings for the month of April. The following are the ratings that could be tracked down for the cable series and the made-for-TV movies that aired last month.

CABLE SHOWS
MONDAYS:
Being Human – The final two episodes of the American version of the British original aired during April on Syfy. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
April 1 – 1.1 million
April 8 – 1.1 million (Season Finale)
This averages out to 1.1 million viewers. Being Human will be back on Syfy for a fourth season, but an official airdate has yet to be announced.
Lost Girl – The Canadian series aired its final three episodes of its current season on Syfy during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
April 1 – 824,000 viewers
April 8 – 756,000 viewers
April 15 – No episode aired
April 22 – 1.2 million (Season Finale)
This averages out to 927,000 viewers for the month. Lost Girl will be back for a fourth season on Syfy, but an official airdate has yet to be announced.
Dallas – The final four episodes of the current season of the reboot of the popular 1980’s soap opera aired on TNT during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
April 1 – 2.6 million
April 8 – 2.4 million
April 15 – 2.8 million
April 15 – 3 million (Two-Hour Season Finale)
This averages out to 2.7 million viewers for the month. Dallas has been renewed for another season by TNT, but an official airdate has yet to be announced.
Monday Mornings – The new TNT medical drama aired its final two episodes during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
April 1 – 1.6 million
April 8 – 1.4 million (Season Finale)
This averages out to 1.5 million viewers for the month. Monday Mornings has yet to be renewed for a second season by TNT. UPDATE: As of May 10, TNT has canceled Monday Mornings.
The Secret Life of the American Teenager – Five more episodes of the final season of the ABC Family drama aired during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
April 1 – 1 million
April 8 – 900,000 viewers
April 15 – 1 million
April 22 – 1 million
April 29 – 882,000 viewers
This averages out to 956,000 viewers for the month. A new episode of The Secret Life of the American Teenager aired on ABC Family on May 6 with another new episode set to air on Monday, May 13 at 8 PM. All ratings for May episodes will be featured in next month’s report.
Bates Motel – The new A&E thriller actually debuted on March 18, airing two episodes in March and five episodes in April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
March 18 – 3 million
March 25 – 2.8 million
April 1 – 2.8 million
April 8 – 2.3 million
April 15 – 2.7 million
April 22 – 2.9 million
April 29 – 3 million
This averages out to 2.8 million viewers for that extended period. Bates Motel aired a new episode on May 6 with another new episode set to air on Monday, May 13 at 10 PM. All ratings for May episodes will be featured in next month’s report.
Defiance – The new Syfy series aired its two-hour debut on April 15, airing four hours of programming during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
April 15 – 2.7 million (Two-Hour Debut)
April 22 – 2.4 million
April 29 – 2.3 million
This averages out to 2.5 million viewers for the month. Defiance aired a new episode on May 6 with another new episode set to air on Monday, May 13 at 9 PM. All ratings for May episodes will be featured in next month’s report.
Warehouse 13 – The fourth season of the Syfy series returned on April 29, earning 1.5 million viewers. A new episode of Warehouse 13 aired on Syfy on May 6 with another episode set to air on Monday, May 13 at 10 PM. All ratings for May episodes will be featured in next month’s report.
Rectify – This 6-part mini-series debuted on the Sundance Channel on April 22, airing two episodes during April. Another new episode aired on May 6 with the next new episode set to air on Monday, May 13 at 10 PM. Ratings for these episodes could not be tracked down, though.
TUESDAYS:
Justified – The season finale of the FX western-themed cop aired on April 2, earning 2.2 million viewers. Justified will be back on FX for a new season in January 2014.
WEDNESDAYS:
The Americans – The period piece spy drama aired four more new episodes of its debut season on FX during April and aired its season finale on May 1. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
April 3 – 1.4 million
April 10 – 1.5 million
April 17 – 1.8 million
April 21 – 1.5 million
May 1 – 1.7 million (Season Finale)
This averages out to 1.6 million viewers for that extended period. The Americans will return for a second season on FX in 2014.
Southland – The TNT cop drama aired its final three episodes of its current season during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
April 3 – 1.5 million
April 10 – 1.6 million
April 17 – 1.8 million (Season Finale)
This averages out to 1.6 million viewers for the month. A decision has yet to be made by TNT on whether the show will return for another season or not. UPDATE: TNT canceled Southland as of May 10.
Psych – The long-running USA Network aired four more new episodes of its current season during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
April 3 – 2.4 million
April 10 – 2.3 million
April 17 – 2.8 million
April 24 – 2.5 million
This averages out to 2.5 million viewers for the month. New episodes of Psych aired on the USA Network on both May 1 and May 8 with the next new episode set to air on Wednesday, May 15 at 10 PM. All ratings for May episodes will be featured in next month’s report.
Bomb Girls – The second season of the Canadian series aired four episodes on the Reelz Channel during April, but ratings for those episodes could not be tracked down. Two new episodes aired in May so far with another new episode set to air on Wednesday, May 15 at 10 PM.
Rogue – The new DirecTV cop series debuted on April 3 with four episodes airing during April, but ratings for those episodes could not be tracked down. Two new episodes aired in May so with another new episode set to air on Wednesday, May 8 at 9 PM.
FRIDAYS:
Spartacus: War of the Damned – The Starz period drama aired its final two episodes during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
April 5 – 1.1 million
April 12 – 1.4 million (Series Finale)
This averages out to 1.3 million viewers for the month.
Da Vinci’s Demons – The new Starz period piece debuted on April 12, airing three episodes during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
April 12 – 1 million (Series Premiere)
April 19 – 503,000 viewers
April 26 – 382,000 viewers
This averages out to 628,000 viewers for the month. Da Vinci’s Demons aired a new episode on May 3 with another episode set to air on Friday, May 10 at 10 PM. All ratings for May episodes will be featured in next month’s report.
XIII: The Series – The second season of the Canadian series aired four new episodes on Reelz Channel, but ratings for that episode could not be tracked down. Two new episodes aired in May so far with another new episode set to air on Friday, May 10 at 10 PM.
SATURDAYS:
Doctor Who – The cult classic series aired four more new episodes on BBC America during April, but only ratings for the April 6 episode could be found. That episode earned 970,000 viewers. A new episode of Doctor Who aired on May 4 with another new episode set to air on Saturday, May 11 at 8 PM.
Orphan Black – The new BBC America series aired four more new episodes during April, but ratings could not be tracked down for any of those episodes. A new episode of Orphan Black aired on Saturday, May 4 with another new episode set to air on Saturday, May 11 at 9 PM.
SUNDAYS:
Army Wives – The long-running Lifetime military drama aired four more new episodes of its current season during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:
April 7 – 2.2 million

The Borgias – The period piece drama from Showtime returned for its new season starting on April 14, airing three episodes during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

Vikings – The History Channel aired the final four episodes of its 9-episode run during April. The ratings for those episodes are as follows:

This averages out to 3.6 million viewers for the month. Vikings will return for a second season on the History Channel, but an official airdate has yet to be announced.
Call the Midwife – This PBS mini-series aired four more new episodes of its second season during April, but ratings could not be tracked down. A new episode also aired on May 5 with another new episode set to air on Sunday, May 12 at 8 PM.
Mr. Selfridge – This PBS mini-series aired four more episodes of its 10-part run during April, but the ratings for those episodes could not be tracked down. A new episode also aired on May 5 with another new episode set to air on Sunday, May 12 at 9 PM.
The Bletchley Circle – This new 4-part mystery PBS mini-series debuted on April 21, airing two episodes in April with another new episode airing on May 5. The final episode is set to air on Sunday, May 12 at 10 PM. Ratings could not be tracked down for any of those episodes, though.
MADE-FOR-TV MOVIES

The HBO movie Mary and Martha aired during April, earning 552,000 viewers.
The BBC America two-part mini-series Spies of Warsaw aired in April, but ratings could not be tracked down.
