Over the course of the last five months, I have been providing the ratings for the multitude of dramatic programming on the cable networks. It is time again to review the ratings for the cable series that aired between February 21 and March 20 (where those numbers are available, of course):
NEWLY UPDATED:
Pretty Little Liars – The series aired 4 new episodes during this time frame with its spring finale set to air tonight (Monday, March 21) following an all-day marathon of episodes from the entire first season on the ABC Family Channel. The episodes that aired and the ratings each received are as follows:
February 21 – 2.9 million
February 28 – 2.7 million
March 7 – 3 million
March 14 – 2.9 million
March 21 – 3.6 million
This averages out to 3 million viewers for the 5 aired episodes. A new season of episodes will, more likely than not, air this summer.
Greek – The series aired its final 3 episodes (ever) during this time frame, bringing to an end 4 seasons of the college-themed drama on the ABC Family Channel. The episodes that aired and the ratings each received are as follows:
February 21 – 853,000 viewers
February 28 – 889,000 viewers
March 7 – 923,000 viewers
This averages out to 888,000 viewers.
NEWLY UPDATED:
Being Human – This Syfy remake of the BBC original series aired 4 new episodes during this time frame with the next new episode airing tonight (March 21). The episodes that aired and the ratings each received are as follows:
February 21 – 1.4 million
February 28 – 1.4 million
March 7 – 1.5 million
March 14 – 1.4 million
March 20 – 1.2 million
This averages out to 1.4 million viewers for the 5 aired episodes. The show has just recently been renewed for a second season.
NEWLY UPDATED:
Stargate Universe – The show returned to Syfy with its final 10 episodes, starting on March 7, airing only two episodes during the time frame with the next new episode airing tonight (March 21). The episodes that aired and the ratings each received are as follows:
March 7 – 1 million
March 14 – 928,000 viewers
March 21 – 814,000 viewers
This averages out to approximately 936,000 viewers for the 3 aired episodes.
Southland – The TNT police drama aired its final 3 episodes during this time frame, airing its finale on March 8. The episodes that aired and the ratings each received are as follows:
February 22 – 2.1 million
March 1 – 1.9 million
March 8 – 2.3 million
This averages out to 2.1 million viewers. The show is anticipated to return for another season on TNT.
White Collar – The popular USA Network series aired its final 3 episodes of the season, during the time frame, airing its finale on March 8. The episodes that aired and the ratings each received are as follows:
February 22 – 3.3 million
March 7 – 3.3 million
March 14 – 3.8 million
This averages out to 3.5 million viewers. A new season of episodes will begin on June 7.
NEWLY UPDATED:
Lights Out – The FX boxing-themed series aired 4 episodes during this time frame with the next new episode to air tomorrow night (March 22). The episodes that aired and the ratings each received are as follows:
February 22 – 742,000 viewers
March 1 – 802,000 viewers
March 8 – 797,000 viewers
March 15 – 688,000 viewers
March 22 – 693,000 viewers
This averages out to 744,000 viewers for the 5 aired episodes.
Justified – The FX series aired 4 new episodes during this time frame with the next new episode to be aired on Wednesday, March 23. The episodes that aired and the ratings each received are as follows:
February 22 – 2.6 million
March 1 – 2.6 million
March 8 – 2.7 million
March 15 – 2.4 million
This averages out to 2.6 million viewers.
Royal Pains – This popular USA Network drama finished out its season during this time frame, airing its season finale on March 24, garnering 4 million viewers. The show will return with all new episodes this summer.
Fairly Legal – This new USA Network aired 4 episodes during this time frame, with the next new episode – its season finale – airing on Thursday, March 24. The episodes that aired and the ratings each received are as follows:
February 24 – 3 million
March 3 – 3.2 million
March 10 – 2.8 million
March 17 – 4 million
This averages out to 3.3 million viewers.
Spartacus: Gods of the Arena – The Starz prequel aired its season finale on March 25, garnering 1.5 million viewers. A new season of Spartacus: Blood & Sand will air later this year.
NEWLY UPDATED:
Merlin – The Syfy series aired 4 new episodes during the time frame with its next new episode airing on Friday, March 25. The episodes that aired and the ratings each received are as follows:
February 25 – 1.7 million
March 4 – 1.6 million
March 11 – 1.5 million
March 18 – 1.4 million
The average for the 4 episodes in this time frame is 1.6 million viewers.
NEWLY UPDATED:
Big Love – This HBO series aired its 5 final episodes during this time frame, airing its series finale last night (March 20). The episodes that aired and the ratings each received are as follows:
February 20 – 1 million
February 27 – 1 million
March 6 – 1.4 million
March 13 – 1.4 million
March 20 – 1.6 million
The average for these final 5 episodes is 1.3 million viewers.
NEWLY UPDATED:
Army Wives – The popular Lifetime military drama returned on March 6 with all new episodes, airing two episodes during the time frame with a new episode airing last night (March 20). The episodes that aired and the ratings each received are as follows:
March 6 – 4.2 million
March 13 – 3.6 million
March 20 – 3.8 million
This averages out to 3.9 million viewers. An all-new episode will air on Sunday, March 27.
NEWLY UPDATED:
Breakout Kings – The new A&E series debuted on March 6 and aired 3 episodes during this time frame. The episodes that aired and the ratings each received are as follows:
March 6 – 2.8 million
March 13 – 2.4 million
March 20 – 2 million
The average for the above episodes is 2.4 million viewers. The next new episode airs Sunday, March 27.
Once again, the ratings for the BBC America original UK series Being Human series and the airings of the Canadian series Being Erica on SOAPNet are impossible to locate online; but each show has aired 4 episodes in this time frame. Being Erica will air its next new episode on Wednesday, March 23 and Being Human will air a new episode on Saturday, March 26.
