The new 8-episode Apple TV+ drama Shining Girls will debut online on April 29.

Based on Lauren Beukes’ best-selling novel, “Shining Girls” follows Kirby Mazrachi (Elisabeth Moss) as a Chicago newspaper archivist whose journalistic ambitions were put on hold after enduring a traumatic assault. When Kirby learns that a recent murder mirrors her own case, she partners with seasoned, yet troubled reporter Dan Velazquez (Wagner Moura), to uncover her attacker’s identity. As they realize these cold cases are inextricably linked, their own personal traumas and Kirby’s blurred reality allow her assailant to remain one step ahead.

The cast includes Amy Brenneman, Phillipa Soo and Jamie Bell.

Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:

On April 25, the season finale of Long Slow Exhale will air exclusively on Spectrum Originals.

The HBO original telefilm The Survivor will debut on April 27 at 8 PM. Based on the incredible true story of Harry Haft (Ben Foster) who, after being sent to Auschwitz, survives not only the unspeakable horrors of the camp, but the gladiatorial boxing spectacle he is forced to perform with his fellow prisoners for the amusement of his captors. Unbeknownst to those who try to destroy him, Haft’s will to survive is driven by his quest to reunite with the woman he loves. The cast includes Danny DeVito, John Leguizamo, Peter Sarsgaard and Billy Magnussen.

On April 28, the Paramount+ 10-episode limited series drama The Offer will debut online. The series will be based on Albert S. Ruddy’s (to be played by Miles Teller) extraordinary, never-before-seen experiences of making the box office movie The Godfather. The cast includes Colin Hanks, Giovanni Ribisi, Matthew Goode, Michael Gandolfini, Josh Zuckerman, Danny Nucci, Dan Fogler, Justin Chambers, Paul McCrane, Eric Balfour, Burn Gorman, Juno Temple and Lou Ferrigno.

The season finale of Tokyo Vice will air on HBO Max online on April 28.

Also on April 28, the limited series Under the Banner of Heaven will debut online on FX on Hulu. The limited series, inspired by the true crime best-seller by Jon Krakauer, follows the events that led to the 1984 murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and her baby daughter in a suburb in the Salt Lake Valley, Utah. As Detective Jeb Pyre (Andrew Garfield) investigates events that transpired within the Lafferty family, he uncovers buried truths about the origins of the LDS religion and the violent consequences of unyielding faith. What Pyre, a devout Mormon, unearths leads him to question his own faith. The series also stars Gil Birmingham, Rory Culkin, Sam Worthington and Wyatt Russell.

On April 29, the season finale of Slow Horses will air online today on Apple TV+ and the series finale of Ozark will air online on Netflix.

The Hulu movie Crush will debut online on April 29. When an aspiring young artist is forced to join her high school track team, she uses it as an opportunity to pursue the girl she’s been harboring a long-time crush on. But she soon finds herself falling for an unexpected teammate and discovers what real love feels like. The film stars Rowan Blanchard, Auli’i Cravalho, Michelle Buteau and Megan Mullally.

On May 1, the UPtv movie Aloha With Love will debut at 7 PM. Gemma (Tiffany Smith from Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal), a big city architect, flies to Hawaii in order to handle the estate of her late Aunt. At her Aunt’s request, she must first renovate the house. Trevor Donovan also stars.

NCIS: Los Angeles will air back-to-back episodes on May 1 on CBS at 8 and 9 PM and that same night Billy the Kid will move to its regular time slot of 9 PM on EPIX. Also that night, the season finale of Outlander will air on Starz at 9 PM.

Lastly also on May 1, the 4-part PBS drama Ridley Road will debut at 9 PM. Based on the Jo Bloom novel, and set in the summer of 1962, newcomer Agnes O’Casey plays Vivien Epstein, a young Jewish hairdresser who fits right into London’s mod scene, while secretly infiltrating the British neo-Nazi hierarchy on behalf of Jewish antifascists. The series also stars Rory Kinnear (Our Flag Means Death), Tom Varey (BBC’s The Village) and Eddie Marsan (Ray Donovan).

On April 24, the small screen adaptation of The Man Who Fell to Earth will air two back-to-back episodes at 10 and 11 PM on Showtime.

Inspired by the Walter Tevis novel of the same name and the iconic David Bowie film, the series will follow a new alien character (Chiwetel Ejiofor) who arrives on Earth at a turning point in human evolution and must confront his own past to determine our future. Naomie Harris will play Justin Falls, a brilliant scientist and engineer who must conquer her own demons in the race to save two worlds.

The cast includes Bill Nighy, Clarke Peters, Jimmi Simpson and Kate Mulgrew.
