Queenie Jenkins (Dionne Brown) is a 25-year-old Jamaican British woman living in south London, straddling two cultures and slotting neatly into neither.

After a messy breakup with her long-term boyfriend, Queenie seeks comfort in all the wrong places and begins to realize she has to face the past head-on before she can rebuild.

The limited series Becoming Karl Lagerfeld will debut online on June 7 on Hulu.

In 1972, Karl Lagerfeld (Daniel Brühl) is a 38-year-old, and not yet wearing his iconic hairstyle. He is a ready-to-wear designer, unknown to the general public.

While he meets and falls in love with the sultry Jacques de Bascher (Théodore Pellerin), an ambitious and troubling young dandy, the most mysterious of fashion designers dares to take on his friend (and rival) Yves Saint Laurent (Arnaud Valois), a genius of haute couture backed by the redoubtable businessman Pierre Bergé (Alex Lutz).

On June 4, the new series Clipped will debut online on FX on Hulu. This limited series charts the collision between a dysfunctional basketball organization and even less functional marriage, and a precipitating tape’s impact on an ensemble of characters striving to win against the backdrop of the most cursed team in the league. Famed coach Doc Rivers (Laurence Fishburne) arrives as coach of the LA Clippers in 2013. With a promising roster of big personalities, Rivers has the building blocks to win the franchise’s first championship. The team’s owner, Donald Sterling (Ed O’Neill), is a well-known problem: he’s cheap, he’s erratic, he’s a bully. But minimizing Sterling’s influence to win a title becomes a personal quest for Doc. Meanwhile, a courtside power struggle escalates between Sterling’s ambitious personal assistant V. Stiviano (Cleopatra Coleman) and his wife and business partner of 60 years, Shelly (Jacki Weaver). The cast includes Clifton Davis and Corbin Bernsen.

The first two episodes of Star Wars: The Acolyte will debut online on Disney+ on June 4. An investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems. The cast includes Carrie-Ann Moss, Dafne Keen and Jodie Turner-Smith [among others].

On June 5, the finale of Sight Unseen will air at 9 PM on CW.

The second season of Criminal Minds: Evolution will air its first 2 episodes online on Paramount+ on June 6; meanwhile, that same day, the third and final season of Sweet Tooth will premiere online on Netflix.

The Hallmark Channel movie Savoring Paris will debut on June 8 at 8 PM. Disillusioned with her life, Ella (Bethany Joy Lenz) embarks on a soul-searching journey to Paris where she navigates love, self-discovery and cheese amidst the enchanting backdrop of The City of Love. The film also stars Stanley Weber and Ben Wiggins.

On June 9, the second season of The Lazarus Project will premiere on TNT at 9 PM.

Lastly also on June 9, the UPtv movie The Wedding Rule will debut at 7 PM. Former childhood friends are bequeathed a restaurant where they worked as teens on one condition: they must be married in three weeks to claim the inheritance. Both single, they race to find “the one.” The movie stars Julie Nolke and Dennis Andres.

Droughtlander is coming to an end…soon.

The last episode of season 7 of Outlander aired on Starz back on August 11, 2023.

The much-beloved series will return with the remaining eight episodes of its current season starting on Friday, November 22 at 8/7c.

As fans of the long-running drama will recall the mid-season finale saw Claire, Jamie and Young Ian (series leads Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan and series regular John Bell) returning to Scotland. There “the perils of the Revolutionary War (will) force them to choose between standing by those they love and fighting for the land they have made their new home.” Also Roger and Brianna (series leads Richard Rankin and Sophie Skelton) will “face new enemies across time and must battle the forces that threaten to pull their family apart.”

The second part of season 7 will include the following returning cast members: Graham McTavish (Dougal MacKenzie), Nell Hudson (Laoghaire Fraser), Steven Cree (the elder Ian Murray), Lotte Verbeek (Geillis Duncan), Andrew Whipp (Jamie’s father, Brian Fraser) and Layla Burns (Marsali’s younger sister Joan MacKimmmie). One notable former cast member who will not be back is Tobias Menzies, who played Claire’s first husband Frank Randall and sociopath Jonathan Wolverton “Black Jack” Randall.

Fans of Outlander should also know that the series is currently filming its 8th and final season. There will 10 episodes in that final season. And Starz recently announced three new cast members: Kieran Bew (House of the Dragon) who will play Capt. Charles Cunningham, a retired British soldier; Frances Tomelty (Catastrophe) who will play his mother, Elspeth Cunningham. Meanwhile, Carla Woodcock (Free Rein) who will play Amaranthus Grey, a new member of the Grey family. You can see pictures of the new cast members to the right.
