Delayed Ratings: Spring TV (Sunday, May 14)

The primetime line-up on the major networks on Sunday night was filled with reality, news, repeats and animation along with new episodes from four Sunday night dramas, one of which was the first part of the show’s series finale and one which was the show’s series finale.

Here is how those four Sunday night dramas fared in the overall ratings on Sunday night:

8 PM Show:
The Equalizer (CBS) [NEW] – 4.6 million viewers

9 PM Show:
East New York (CBS) [NEW – Series Finale] – 4.1 million viewers

10 PM Shows:
NCIS: Los Angeles (CBS) [NEW – Part 1 of 2, Series Finale] – 5.8 million viewers
The Blacklist (NBC) [NEW] – 1.7 million viewers

New Show Introduction: The Clearing

On May 24, the new Hulu series The Clearing will debut online.

This eight-part psychological thriller is based on the best-selling crime novel by author J.P. Pomare, which follows the nightmares of a cult and a woman who’s forced to face the demons from her past in order to stop the kidnapping and coercion of innocent children in the future.

The cast includes Guy Pearce, Teresa Palmer, Miranda Otto and Xavier Samuel [among others].

New Show Introduction: American Born Chinese

On May 24, the Disney+ series American Born Chinese will debut online.

Based on the graphic novel by Gene Luen Yang, the series tells the story of Jin Wang (Ben Want), an average teenager juggling his high school social life with his home life. When he meets a new foreign student on the first day of the school year, even more worlds collide as Jin is unwittingly entangled in a battle of Chinese mythological Gods.

The cast includes Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, Chin Han, Daniel Wu, Sydney Taylor and Yeo Yann Yann.
