Ratings: Spring TV (Tuesday, June 1)

New Show Introduction: Domina

On June 6, the EPIX period piece drama Domina will debut at 10 PM.

The series follows the extraordinary rise of Emperor Augustus Caesar’s third wife, Livia Drusilla (Polish actress Kasia Smutniak), bringing the exploits, affairs, and battles for political clout that surrounded this power couple who sat at the heart of the Roman Empire.

The cast will include Claire Forlani, Liam Cunningham and Isabella Rossellini.

Movie of the Week Recommendation: The Wedding Ring

The Wedding Ring is the latest new movie that will debut on UPtv at 7 PM on June 6.

Kate Sterling’s (Lauren Lee Smith from Frankie Drake Mysteries) entire life is about proposals. As a jewelry designer she’s created rings for more happy couples than she can count, however none for herself yet. At her sister’s marriage, Kate is given a second chance to connect with her childhood sweetheart (Dillon Casey from Nikita).

Now she has to decide whether their feelings have changed, or if the wedding will rekindle the sparks that once united them; giving Kate the ring she’s been waiting for her whole life.

Outlander: Season 6 News and New Photos

Outlander Fans!

The Droughtlander is (sorta) over…

Starz released new pictures for the show’s upcoming 6th season today, and shared that the series will be back in early 2022.

So we’ve got to hang on a little longer to see the new episodes, but at least we’ve got some new pictures to enjoy.

Those pictures follow below..

In the meantime, fans should know that season 6 will consist of EIGHT episodes and will premiere sometime after January 1, 2022 with a 90-minute premiere.

Ratings: Spring TV (Monday, May 31)

Last night’s primetime line-up was filled with repeats, reality, a news special, some comedy, some animation, a game show and a Disney film – all par for the course given it was a holiday night. There was one new episode of a Monday night drama, which just happened to be that show’s season finale.

Here is how that lone Monday night drama fared in the overall ratings last night:

Movie of the Week Recommendation: You Had Me at Aloha

On June 5, the Hallmark Channel movie You Had Me at Aloha will debut at 9 PM.

When the host of a popular travel show resigns, the network enlists Paige (Pascale Hutton from When Calls the Heart), to step in for the next season set in Hawaii. Unbeknownst to her, they have also hired Ben (Kavn Smith, also from When Calls the Heart), who likes to push everything to the extreme. As these two new co-hosts clash over their opposing ideas for production, they grapple with the fact that not only do they need each other to further their careers, but they also balance each other on and off the screen.

Delayed Ratings: Spring TV (Friday, May 28)

Ratings for Friday were delayed because of the ongoing issue with the website that I use as my primary source for ratings, having to use another site that does provides the necessary information albeit a few days late.

Friday night’s programming was filled with wrestling, repeats, basketball and news as well as new episodes of two Friday night dramas.

Here is how those two Friday night dramas fared in the overall ratings:

8 PM Show:
The Blacklist (NBC) [NEW] – 3.2 million viewers

9 PM Show:
Dynasty (The CW) [NEW] – 177,000 viewers
