New Show Introduction: Suits

Suits

The new series Suits will debut on the USA Network on June 23 at 10 PM.

One of Manhattan’s top corporate lawyers Gabriel Macht (Love and Other Drugs) sets out to recruit a new hotshot associate and hires the guy who impresses him – a brilliant but unmotivated college dropout (Patrick J. Adams from Weather Girl). Though he isn’t actually a lawyer, this legal prodigy has the book smarts of a Harvard law grad and the street smarts of a hustler. However, in order to serve justice and save their jobs, both these unconventional thinkers must continue the charade.

The cast also includes Gina Torres (Firefly), Meghan Markle (Fringe) and Rick Hoffman (Samantha Who?).

New Show Introduction: Combat Hospital

Combat Hospital

The new ABC drama Combat Hospital will debut at 10 PM on June 21.

Set in 2006 at the only military hospital providing advanced surgical care in all of Southern Afghanistan, the series charts the frantic lives of the hospital’s resident doctors and nurses from Canada, America, the U.K. and other allied countries.

The series stars Elias Koteas (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Michelle Borth (Hawaii Five-0 and The Forgotten), Terry Chen (Sanctuary), Deborah Kara Unger (Silent Hill) and Luke Mably (The Gates).

Summer TV Reminder: What’s Back On TV This Week

Mark your calendars TV viewers!

Summer TV is back and with that comes not only the debuts of new TV shows, but also the return of summer TV shows on the cable networks.

Here is what to expect in returning shows this week (June 20 to June 26):

Burn Notice will be back with all-new episodes on the USA Network at 9 PM on Thursday, June 23.

The Canadian drama Rookie Blue will be back on ABC with its 2nd season at 10 PM also on Thursday, June 23.

Then, the TNT series Leverage will be back with new episodes at 9 PM on Sunday, June 26.

While True Blood will be back on HBO for its 4th season at 9 PM also on Sunday, June 26.

New Show Introduction: Falling Skies

Falling Skies

The new TNT series Falling Skies will have a two-hour debut at 9 PM on June 19. The series will then move to its regular timeslot on Sundays at 10 PM the following week.

This is a Steven Spielberg sci-fi drama about the chaotic aftermath of an alien attack that has left most of the world completely incapacitated. In the six months since the initial invasion, the few survivors have banded together outside major cities to begin the difficult task of fighting back. Each day is a test of survival as citizen soldiers work to protect the people in their care while also engaging in an insurgency campaign against the occupying alien force. The cast includes Noah Wyle (ER), who plays Tom Mason, a Boston history professor, Moon Bloodgood (Terminator Salvation) as Anne Glass, a pediatrician who works with the surviving children to help them cope with the traumatic upheaval in their lives, Will Patton (Armageddon) who plays Weaver, a fierce leader of the resistance.

The cast also includes Drew Roy (Hannah Montana and Secretariat) as Tom’s oldest son, Maxim Knight (Brothers & Sisters) as Tom’s youngest son; Connor Jessup (The Saddle Club) as Tom’s son who was captured by aliens; and Seychelle Gabriel (Weeds and The Last Airbender) as an orphaned teenager who helps Anne in the group’s makeshift medical clinic. Colin Cunningham (Stargate SG-1) and Sarah Carter (Shark) also star.
