The series is based on the Sarah Perry novel, which follows newly widowed Cora (Claire Danes), who, having being released from an abusive marriage, relocates from Victorian London to the small village of Aldwinter in Essex intrigued by a local superstition that a mythical creature known as the Essex Serpent has returned to the area.

On May 11, the Netflix original feature film Operation Mincemeat will debut online.

The movie depicts the events surrounding the World War II plan Operation Mincemeant, a deception effort to keep the plans for the Allied invasion of Sicilty secret.

Based on the book by Ben Macintyre, the film will star Colin Firth, Kelly Macdonald, Matthew Macfadyen, Penelope Wilton, Johnny Flynn, Jason Isaacs, Mark Gatiss and James Fleet.

On May 9, the series premiere of the 5-night Hulu limited series Candy will debut online today, airing straight through until May 13.
