The Christmas Parade

The new Hallmark Channel holiday movie The Christmas Parade will debut on December 14 at 8 PM.

A popular network morning host finds herself humiliated on the air by her fiancé and disappears to a small town. While there, she helps a budding artist save a community art center for the town’s kids, by helping them with their float for the annual Christmas Parade.

The film stars AnnaLynne McCord (90210), Jefferson Brown (Rookie Blue) and Drew Scott (Property Brothers).

Ascension Small

The new Syfy event series Ascension will air on December 15, 16 and 17 at 9 PM each night.

The drama follows a covert U.S. space mission launched in the 1960’s that sent hundreds of men, women and children on a century-long voyage aboard the starship Ascension to populate a new world. Half way into their journey, as they approach the point of no return, the mysterious murder of a young woman causes the ship’s population to question the true nature of their mission.

The cast includes Brian Van Holt (Cougar Town), Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica), Gil Bellows (Ally McBeal), Ryan Robbins (Sanctuary) and Andrea Roth (Rescue Me).

A Perfect Christmas List

On December 14, A Perfect Christmas List is a new ION holiday movie that will debut at 9 PM.

Just two weeks before Christmas, Sara Smith gets a call from home about her grandmother Evie, who has been sent to the hospital. Having always been close, the health scare is enough to get Sara to do the unthinkable: come home for Christmas. While Sara plans to get a hotel room for her stay, her mother won’t allow it. Sara eventually relents, but it’s clear that time has not repaired their relationship, and her mother returns to her overbearing ways. With her handsome doctor’s approval, the convalescing Evie conjures up a curious challenge. As a “last wish,” she tasks her daughter and granddaughter with a list of festive accomplishments to do together before Christmas, hoping that the adventure of the experience will repair their relationship. Along the way, Sara discovers an unlisted Christmas adventure with Evie’s physician.

The cast includes Ellen Hollman, Marion Ross, Aaron Hill, Beth Broderick and Richard Karn.

On December 13, the original Hallmark Channel movie Best Christmas Party Ever will debut at 8 PM.

Jennie, an up-and-coming event planner, is shocked to find out that her boss intends to hand her business over to her nephew, Nick, instead of to her. Tensions run high when Jennie is forced to train Nick and plan for the biggest party of the holiday season.

A Christmas Kiss II

The new ION movie A Christmas Kiss II will debut on December 13 at 9 PM.

At a Christmastime event, Jenna shares an impromptu, unforgettable kiss under the mistletoe with the dashing Cooper Montgomery, a billionaire playboy who recently returned to the city. Although she doesn’t know him, Cooper learns that Jenna works for Cooper’s sister at the designer fashion house founded by their dad. Fearful of getting hurt in another relationship, Jenna vows to resist Cooper’s charms and feigns a romance with her heartbroken next door neighbor. As the two begin spending more time together, Jenna realizes that Cooper’s affection is real, but still worries that he won’t be able to shed his former ways.

The cast includes Elisabeth Harnois, Adam Mayfield, Elisabeh Rohm and Jonathan Bennett.

Marco Polo

The Netflix drama Marco Polo will debut online on December 12.

Merry Ex-Mas

The new ION holiday movie Merry Ex-Mas will debut on December 7 at 8 PM.

When misleading photos are published of security company chief Jessie Rogers purportedly caught in a love nest with his rock star client, his humiliated wife, Noëlle, throws him out of the house and swiftly files for divorce. Unable to convince her of his innocence, Jessie fights in vain to win Noëlle back. A year later at the family ski cabin, a Christmastime blizzard snow bounds Jessie, his daughter, ex-mother-in-law, Noëlle and her wealthy suitor, Flynn, who is plotting a surprise wedding.

The cast includes Dean Cain, Kristie Swanson, Lochlyn Munro, Ernie Hudson and Jodi Lyn O’Keefe.

Christmas at Cartwrights

The Hallmark Channel holiday movie Christmas At Cartwright’s will debut on December 7 at 8 PM.

Nicky is a single mom, unemployed and broke at Christmas and desperate to find a job in order to make her young daughter’s holiday a happy one. With the aide of an angel, she gets a job as a department store Santa and also happens to meet the love of her life.

The cast includes Alicia Witt (Friday Night Lights), Gabriel Hogan (Heartland and King) and veteran actor Wallace Shawn (The Princess Bride).

Red Tent

On December 7 and 8, the Lifetime two-night mini-series The Rent Tent will air at 9 PM (both nights).

The mini tells the sweeping tale that takes place during the times of the Old Testament, told through the eyes of Dinah, the daughter of Leah and Jacob. It begins with Dinah’s (Rebecca Ferguson from The White Queen) happy childhood spent inside the red tent where the women of her tribe gather and share the traditions and turmoil of ancient womanhood.

The film recounts the story of Dinah’s mothers Leah (Minnie Driver), Rachel (Morena Baccarin from Firefly and Homeland), Zilpah and Bilhah, the four wives of Jacob (Iain Glen from Game of Thrones). Dinah matures and experiences an intense love that subsequently leads to a devastating loss, and the fate of her family is forever changed. Debra Winger (Terms of Endearment) portrays Rebecca, Jacob’s mother while Tudor stars as Joseph, Dinah’s brother.

The cast also includes Sean Teale (Reign), Will Tudor (Game of Thrones) and Sheila Vand (State of Affairs).

The Librarians

The new TNT series The Librarians, based on the popular made-for-TV movie franchise, will air its 2-hour debut on December 7 at 8 PM.

Noah Wyle (Falling Skies) reprises his role of Flynn Carsen in this new weekly series based on the popular made-for-TV movies that will find Rebecca Romijn (X-Men franchise), Christian Kane (Leverage), Lindy Booth (October Road and Copper), John Kim (Neighbours), Matt Frewer (Eureka and Orphan Black) and John Larroquette (Night Court) as part of the cast.

The show centers on an ancient organization hidden beneath Gotham’s Metropolitan Public Library, dedicated to protecting an unknowing world from the secret, magical reality hidden around them.
