On October 13, the new Apple TV+ drama Lessons in Chemistry will debut online.

Based on the best-selling novel, the series is set in the early 1950s and follows Elizabeth Zott (Brie Larson) whose dream of being a scientist is put on hold in a patriarchal society. When Elizabeth finds herself fired from her lab, she accepts a job as a host on a TV cooking show, and sets out to teach a nation of overlooked housewives – and the men who are suddenly listening – a lot more than recipes.

The series also stars Aja Naomi King and Thomas Mann [among others].

The Passionflix movie Gabriel’s Redemption, Part 2 will debut online on October 12.

After leaving his prestigious post at the University of Toronto, Gabriel (Giulio Berruti) embarks on a new journey with Julia (Melanie Zanetti), and he is eager to become a father. However, Gabriel’s idyllic vision is jeopardized when Julia’s intensive program becomes all consuming. When Julia is granted a prestigious opportunity to deliver an academic lecture at Oxford, Gabriel challenges her about the subject of her presentation, which clashes with his own research.

In Oxford, their past resurfaces, including an old nemesis determined to humiliate Julia and expose one of Gabriel’s well-guarded secrets. Emotions run high, alliances are tested, and the couple must confront the shadows of their shared history in a battle for love, truth and redemption.

To secure their fortune, and future, two ruthless siblings build a family dynasty that begins to crumble when their heirs mysteriously die, one by one.

The ensemble cast includes Carla Gugino, Willa Fitzgerald, Kate Siegel, Henry Thomas, Annabeth Gish, Mary McDonnell, Zach Gilford, Mark Hamill, Bruce Greenwood, Michael Trucco, Rahul Kohli and Carl Lumbly.

On October 12, the 6–part limited series Little Bird will debut on PBS at 9 PM.

The series explores universal themes of resilience in the face of trauma and loss, following Bezhig Little Bird (Darla Contois) as she embarks on a path to find her birth family and uncover the hidden truth of her family history.

The series also stars Lisa Edelstein.

The new movie Swing Into Romance will debut on Great American Family on October 7 at 8 PM.

When former dancer Christine Sims (Danica McKellar) temporarily returns to her hometown in time for the town’s Fall Festival, she discovers her family’s General Store is in trouble. In her efforts to save the business, Christine will need to dust off those dancing shoes one more time, face her ex-fiancé, and maybe even find love.

The movie co-stars David Haydn-Jones.

On October 7, the Hallmark Channel movie 3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost will debut at 8 PM.

A 1920’s ghost (Madeleine Arthur) refuses to leave estate agent Anna’s (Julie Gonzalo) newly listed home. Worse, the spirit is convinced she cannot “pass over” until she gets Anna back together with her ex (Chris McNally).

On October 6, the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Hannah Swensen Mysteries: A Zest for Death will debut at 9 PM.

They say the real estate business is deadly, but no one is more surprised than Hannah Swensen (Alison Sweeney) when her mother, Delores (Barbara Niven), discovers the dead body of the homeowner – and regular customer of The Cookie Jar – while house-hunting for her sister Michelle. Hannah is determined to get to the bottom of the mystery and is convinced that the prime suspect Mike (Cameron Mathison) and the Sheriff are focusing on isn’t the culprit.

Hannah’s sleuthing becomes a family affair when Delores, Michelle and even her sister Andrea – who pays an unexpected visit – take part in the investigation. As Hannah uncovers clues she slowly rules out suspects and is led to the shocking truth about the killer’s identity.

The sequel movie Monster High: The Movie 2 will debut on both on Nickelodeon at 7 PM and online on Paramount+ on October 5.

This live-action sequel follows Clawdeen Wolf (Miia Harris), Draculaura (Nayah Damasen) and Frankie Stein (Ceci Balagot) as they enter sophomore year at Monster High. The power of three is put to the test as they face even bigger challenges this year – new students – like Toralei (Salena Qureshi), a feisty British were-cat – new powers, evolving friendships and an even bigger threat that could not only tear their friendship apart but could change the world forever.

The cast also includes Ana Ortiz and Steve Valentine [among others].

On October 4, the Canadian transplant The Spencer Sisters will make its US debut on The CW at 9 PM.

This lighthearted procedural follows mystery novelist Victoria Spencer (Lea Thompson from the Back to the Future franchise and Switched at Birth) and her daughter Darby Spencer (Stacey Farber from Superman & Lois and Schitt’s Creek) who are mistaken as sisters as they tackle puzzling cases.

The cast includes Edward Ruttle and Kaitlyn Leeb.
