Here is the list of the programming options to expect on TV this coming week:

On October 22, the season finale of Gen V will air online on Amazon Prime.

The new limited series drama Harlan Coben’s Lazarus will debut online on Amazon Prime on October 22. Based on an original story idea and written by the New York Times best-selling author Harlan Coben and BAFTA-winner Danny Brocklehurst, the series follows Joel Lazarus (Sam Claflin) who returns home after his father Dr. Jonathan Lazarus (Bill Nighy) dies by suicide and begins to have disturbing experiences that can’t be explained. He quickly becomes entangled in a series of cold-case murders as he grapples with the mystery of his father’s death and his sister’s murder 25 years ago.

On October 23, the finale of NCIS: Tony & Ziva will air online on Paramount+ while that same day, the second season of Nobody Wants This will premiere online on Netflix. That same night, the second season of The Light in the Hall will premiere online on AMC+ and Acorn TV while the finale of The Sunshine Murders will air that same night on UPtv at the special time of 9 PM; and also that day, the finale of The Red King will air online on AMC+.

Fire Country and Sheriff Country will shift timeslots starting on October 24 on CBS with Sheriff Country now airing at 8 PM followed by Fire Country at 9 PM; and that same night the season finale of Invasion will air online on Apple TV+.

Also on October 24, the feature film A House of Dynamite will debut online on Netflix. When a single, unattributed missile is launched at the United States, a race begins to determine who is responsible and how to respond. The ensemble cast includes Idris Elba, Rebecca Ferguson, Gabriel Basso, Jared Harris, Tracy Letts, Anthony Ramos, Moses Ingram, Jonah Hauer-King, Greta Lee, Jason Clarke, Malachi Beasley, Brian Tee, Brittany O’Grady, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Willa Fitzgerald, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Kyle Allen and Kaitlyn Dever.

The Hallmark Channel holiday movie Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper! will debut on October 25 at 8 PM.  Weatherman Ted Cooper (Robert Buckley) loves Christmas, but the past three have been terrible. This year, Ted has made up his mind that things will be different – this will be the Christmas things turn around for him. But Ted’s relentless optimism is about to be put to the test as he is faced with a litany of injuries and obstacles when he travels back to his hometown of Lackawanna, New York for the holidays. Within hours of arriving at his sister Kate’s house, he finds himself making a trip to Urgent Care after falling off a ladder while hanging decorations. While there, he runs into Ruth Mittens, his former high school science teacher who was always his cheerleader. He also reconnects with the charming Hope Miller (Kimberley Sustad), except now she’s Dr. Hope Miller, with whom he went to high school and quietly crushed on from afar. Ted is optimistic that this budding romance is the beginning of his Christmas comeback, but his looming holiday bad luck still has a few curveballs in store for him. Luckily for Ted, he won’t have to face them alone – he’ll have the support of Kate, Ruth, and Hope to help him overcome the challenges thrown his way and finally enjoy a well-earned merry Christmas.

On October 26, the new thriller Anne Rice’s Talamasca: The Secret Order will debut its first two episodes online on AMC+ and will also air on AMC at 9 PM. The series follows a secretive society which tracks supernatural beings like witches, vampires, and werewolves. The cast includes Nicholas Denton, Elizabeth McGovern, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, William Fichtner, Jason Schwartzman and Celine Buckens.

The 4th season premiere of Mayor of Kingstown will air online on Paramount+ on October 26.

Lastly also on October 26, the new UPtv movie See You Again will debut at 7 PM. A young couple on an ill-fated second date find themselves up against the elements and each other when they become stranded on a remote lake island.Brey Noelle and Rob LaColla star.

TV CASTING NEWS

Actors Raphael Sbarge (Once Upon a Time), Aaron Douglas (Battlestar Galactica and Murder in a Small Town) and David Hewlett (Stargate: Atlantis) will have recurring roles in the prequel series Vought Rising opposite Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash, but details on the characters they will play are being kept under wraps. SNL alum Kate McKinnon will have a recurring guest starring role in season 3 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, playing Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty, who can alter her appearance depending on the beholder. (Variety)

The Bosch TV universe is expanding from Amazon over to MGM+ with the prequel series Bosch: Start of Watch that will star Cameron Monaghan from Shameless and Omari Hardwick from Power. Monaghan will play rookie cop Harry Bosch (played by Titus Welliver in the original series) and Hardwick playing Eli Bridges, Bosch’s training officer. The series will be set in 1991 in Los Angeles, following 26-year-old Harry Bosch during his earliest days as a rookie cop. (Deadline)

BOX OFFICE MOVIE NEWS

George Clooney and Annette Bening will star in the upcoming book adaptation of Amy Bloom’s best-sellilng memoir In Love that is an illuminating, modern love story about two people who make an impossible decision together that honors their enduring commitment to each other. (Deadline)

Young actress Chloe Coleman (Marry Me and the My Spy franchise) will star in the upcoming Taylor Sheridan-written action feature film F.A.S.T. that will star 1923 alum Brandon Sklenar as a former special forces commando, down on his luck after he returns Stateside, who is tapped by the DEA to lead a black op strike team against CIA-protected drug dealers in his town. Coleman will play his daughter while LaKeith Stanfield, Jason Clarke and Sam Claflin round out the cast. (The Hollywood Reporter)

James Norton will play longtime manager Brian Epstein in the upcoming Sam Mendes anthology film The Beatle. (Deadline)

DEVELOPMENT NEWS

Amazon Prime has a new YA series in development, which will be inspired by the best-selling novel by Krystal Marquis. The Davenports, the Bridgerton-esque romance series, set in 1910 America, will center on one of the few Black families of immense wealth and status thanks to the entrepreneurship of formerly enslaved patriarch William Davenport. Surrounded by servants, crystal chandeliers, and endless parties, his daughters Olivia and Helen, and their friends, are finding their way and finding love—even where they’re not supposed to. (Deadline)

Stranger Things and Enola Holmes star Millie Bobby Brown will star in and executive produce the upcoming new series Prism that is in development at Netflix. She will play Cassie, a woman with the unique ability to communicate with apparitions, who must uncover the cause of a newly discovered phenomenon that causes “visitors” (ghosts) to appear all over the world before it’s too late. Superman star Rachel Brosnahan will also executive produce. (Deadline)

The Hallmark Channel holiday movie A Christmas Angel Match will debut on October 19 at 8 PM.

Monica (Meghan Ory) and Michael (Benjamin Ayres) are Christmas Angels tasked with bringing destined soulmates together during the most magical season of all.
