On April 11, the new drama Your Friends & Neighbors will debut online on Apple TV+.

After being fired in disgrace, Andrew “Coop” Cooper (Jon Hamm), a hedge fund manager still grappling with his recent divorce, resorts to stealing from his neighbors’ homes in the exceedingly affluent Vestment Village, only to discover that the secrets and affairs hidden behind those wealthy facades might be more dangerous than he ever imagined.

The cast includes Amanda Peet and Olivia Munn.

On April 7, the Hulu drama Paradise, starring This Is Us alum Sterling K. Brown, will make its linear debut on ABC at 10 PM; while that same day, the drama Blackshore will air its finale on Acorn TV online; and that same night, the season finale of The Hunting Party will air on NBC at 10 PM.

The sixth (and final) season premiere of The Handmaid’s Tale will air online on Hulu on April 8.

On April 9, the season finale of Good Cop/Bad Cop will air on CW at 9 PM.

The Amazon Prime movie G20 will debut online on April 10. U.S. President Danielle Sutton (Viola Davis) must defend her family, fellow leaders and the world when the G20 summit in Cape Town, South Africa is taken over by terrorists. The cast includes Anthony Anderson, Marsai Martin, Ramon Rodriguez, Antony Starr, Elizabeth Marvel and Clark Gregg.

On April 10, the finale of the medical drama The Pitt will air online on MAX.

The comedy North of North will debut online on April 10 on Netflix. A young Inuk mother (Anna Lambe) wants to build a new future for herself, but it won’t be easy in her small Arctic town where everyone knows your business. Outlander’s Braeden Clarke, Beauty and the Beast’s Jay Ryan and 24’s Mary Lynn Rajskub co-star.

On April 11, the finale of Surface will air online on Apple TV+; meanwhile, that same day, the season finale of Yellowjackets will air on Paramount+ online.

The 15th season premiere of Doctor Who will air online on Disney+ on April 12.

On April 12, the Hallmark Channel movie Hearts Around the Table: Kiki’s Fourth Ingredient will debut at 8 PM. Kiki (Kathryn Davis) is overjoyed, and then overwhelmed, when she agrees to cater a big wedding. She turns to Clay for support and together, Kiki and Clay prove that the best ingredient is love. The movie also stars Torrance Coombs and Mindy Cohn.

Lastly on April 13, the fourth season premiere of Godfather of Harlem will air on MGM+ at 9 PM; and also that day the second season premiere of The Last of Us will air on HBO at 9 PM.

Here are the entertainment news items for this past week:

RENEWALS/CANCELLATION

Showtime and Paramount+ have given a second season renewal to the prequel series Dexter: Original Sin. (TV Line)

Unfortunately, the Christian Kane-led series Almost Paradise has been cancelled after two seasons. However, the show’s executive producer, Dean Devlin, has shared that they are looking for a new home for the series. (TV Line)

ABC has given season renewals to the following dramas: 9-1-1, Grey’s Anatomy, The Rookie and Will Trent. The only drama left on the bubble is Doctor Odyssey. (TV Line)

SERIES ORDER NEWS

The Handmaid’s Tale sequel series The Testaments have been officially given a series order by Hulu. The series will be based on the 2019 novel by Margaret Atwood, which is set 15 years after the events of The Handmaid’s Tale, following a new generation of young women in the dystopian Gilead. (Variety)

TV CASTING NEWS

The cast of the latest Harlan Coben Netflix series adaptation I Will Find You has added Severance cast member Britt Lower and This Is Us alum Milo Ventimiglia to its cast that already includes Sam Worthington. The story will follow an innocent father, David, (Worthington) who is serving life for the murder of his own son. When he receives evidence that his child may still be alive, he must break out of prison to find out the truth. Lower will play Rachel Mills, David’s ex-sister-in-law and a former decorated reporter whose life fell apart after she was fired while Ventimiglia will play Hayden, who is from a prominent Boston family and finds purpose in working for his family’s philanthropic foundations. Although he is Rachel’s ex-boyfriend, they remain close friends and confidants. (Variety)

The Rookie and Castle star Nathan Fillion will appear in the upcoming DC series Lanterns on HBO, playing Guy Gardner, one of the multiple Green Lanterns in the cast. He plays the same role in the upcoming Superman movie. The series Lanters will star Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan and Aaron Pierre as John Stewart and will follow new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland. Divergent star Shailene Woodley has joined the cast of the Hulu series Paradise for its much anticipated second season. While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, it is believed that Woodley will play a prominent survivor. (Deadline)
