ABC has given a production commitment to a series that will feature female Marvel superheroes from Wonder Woman screenwriter Allan Heinberg. Disney is enlisting Earth’s Mightiest Heroes as the company prepares to launch its upcoming streaming service. Disney is in early development on an ambitious plan for a number of limited series centered on popular characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The news has been floating around the internet for a few weeks that Veronica Mars would be coming back for a fourth season on Hulu.

Well, the official news broke today that Season 4 of Veronica Mars will air in summer 2019 on the streaming service!

Let’s get excited, Marshmellows!!!!

First of all, check out this video message from our leader Kristen Bell.

Next, here are the details from Hulu in their new deal with Warner Bros. Television Group:

• 8 episodes, direct-to-series order, slated for summer of 2019
• Fans can stream seasons 1, 2 and 3 as well as the 2014 feature film beginning in summer 2019
• Series creator Rob Thomas will write the first episode
• The season 4 synopsis is: “Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.”

Series creator Rob Thomas took to Twitter this afternoon, letting fans know that season 4 will be set against a Spring Break backdrop like the Veronica Mars book The Thousand Dollar Tan Line, BUT that is NOT the story they will be telling. He shared, “We’re five years after the movie. Books are 98% canon. Pony is included. Marcia Langdon is police chief. Spoiler: Neptune (is) finally incorporated.”

Again, let’s get excited, Marshmellows!!!!

On September 24, the new NBC drama Manifest will debut at 10 PM.

When Montego Air Flight 828 landed safely after a turbulent but routine flight, the crew and passengers were relieved. Yet in the span of those few hours, the world had aged five years and their friends, families and colleagues, after mourning their loss, had given up hope and moved on. Now, faced with the impossible, they’re all given a second chance. But as their new realities become clear, a deeper mystery unfolds and some of the returned passengers soon realize they may be meant for something greater than they ever thought possible.

The ensemble cast includes Josh Dallas (Once Upon a Time), Athena Karkanis (The Lottery, The Expanse and Zoo), J.R. Ramirez (Jessica Jones and Power), Melissa Roxburgh (Valor and Supernatural), Parveen Kaur (Saving Hope) and Luna Blaise (Fresh Off the Boat) [among others].
