Did you watch any of the cable series that returned in the fall (most of which ended their runs in December) or are you watching the cable shows that premiered this month? If so, you will remember I posted the ratings results for those fall cable shows about a month ago. It is once again time to review the ratings for those shows since the posting as well as the shows that returned in January.
Dexter – The season finale of this Showtime series was on December 12, earning the show 2.5 million viewers.
Sanctuary – The fall finale of Sanctuary aired on December 17, garnering this Syfy series 1.5 million viewers.
Tower Prep – The final five episodes of the first season of this live-action series on the Cartoon Network aired in December; however, the ratings numbers that seem to be available anywhere are for the episodes aired on December 14 and 21, but not the final two on December 28. The episode on December 14 earned 901,000 viewers while the back-to-back episodes on December 21 earned 982,000 and 1.1 million respectively. Until the numbers can be tracked down for the final two episodes that aired on December 28, a clear average of viewers cannot be determined; but an estimated average of viewers would be 1 million.
Psych – The final three episodes of the show aired on December 15 (back-to-back episodes) with the final episode airing on December 22. The two episodes from December 15 earned 2.4 and 2.5 million respectively with the final episode getting 2.9 million. That averages out to 2.6 million viewers.
Burn Notice – The final two episodes aired on December 16, earning 4.8 million and 5.1 million respectively for an average of 5 million viewers.
Leverage – The finale three episodes of the show also aired in December – one on the 12th and two on the 19th. The viewership for December 19 was 2.1 million with the back-to-back final episodes getting 2.5 and 2.6 million respectively. That averages out to 2.4 million viewers.
