Yet another summer night filled with repeats on the major networks, except for the 10 PM timeslot on ABC. Here is how the Tuesday night dramas fared in the overall ratings:
8 PM Show:
NCIS (CBS) [repeat] – 8.7 million
One Tree Hill (The CW) [repeat] – 710,000 viewers
9 PM Shows:
NCIS: Los Angeles (CBS) [repeat] – 7.4 million
Hellcats (The CW) [repeat] – 560,000 viewers
10 PM Show:
Combat Hospital (ABC) [NEW] – 3.7 million

I watched Covert Affairs and Combat Hospital. I’m wondering if the numbers for Combat Hospital are acceptable for ABC. I watch, but it just seems like a show that will get a stealth cancellation with Saturday night burn-off episodes.
I have to admit that I feel the same way about Combat Hospital. It wasn’t promoted enough for people to KNOW it’s on; it isn’t action enough to draw in a male audience to help with the numbers and I honestly think that women would like the show – because of the female lead and that fact Michelle Borth is really good in that role – but it’s just not doing enough for the network in terms of ratings even though it is summer. I mean Covert Affairs gets higher numbers than Combat Hospital and it’s a summer cable series so… We’ll see soon enough if your assessment is right (and I’m pretty sure it will be).
