On October 8 the 6-part, 12-hour mini-series Titanic: Blood & Steel will debut on Encore at 8 PM.
The mini-series follows the lives of the people who made the Titanic: from the workers who built it to the rich financiers. Dr. Mark Muir, an American Engineer – metallurgist and former Irish immigrant (Kevin Zegers), convinces American tycoon J.P. Morgan (Chris Noth) to hire him for the biggest shipping project in the world, the construction of the RMS Titanic at Belfast’s Harland and Wolff shipyard. Mark, whose real name is Marcas Malone, is a native of Belfast. Now with new name and identity, he tries to hide his heritage from his employers, as he is Catholic and his employers, the Protestant elite that rule Belfast, dislike Catholics. While working there, Mark falls in love with Sofia Silvestri (Alessandra Mastronardi), an Italian immigrant. However, during the construction of the Titanic, tensions rise between the lower-class Catholic and the rich Protestant Elite.
The cast also includes Neve Campbell, Derek Jacobi and Liam Cunningham.

If we missed the last 2 episodes of Titanic, when can we see it?
As it stands right now, it doesn’t appear that Encore will be reairing Titanic: Blood and Steel anytime soon. My only recommendation is to keep checking the listings provided by your cable service provider to see when it might be back on that cable network.
The miniseries is running in its entirety today. I started watching it this morning and am hooked! Why no nominations for Golden Globe? Might it be nominated for an Emmy later this year?
Sadly, if that mini-series didn’t get nominated for a Golden Globe it really won’t have a chance at the Emmy’s. Often times, the more deserving shows, made-for-TV movies and mini-series do not get attention at the “bigger” award shows.
