The Sundance Channel mini-series Rectify will debut on April 22 at 10 PM.
Daniel Holden (Aden Young from The Starter Wife) must put his life back together after serving 19 years on Georgia’s Death Row before DNA evidence calls his conviction into question.
The cast includes Abigail Spencer (Mad Men), Clayne Crawford (The Glades), Hal Holbrook and Adelaide Clemens (the upcoming The Great Gatsby).
Here is a trailer for Rectify.

Excellent series, but they seem to have played certain episodes more often, so I am missing two.
Sundance has been reairing them at different times so it’s always best to check your local listings to make sure.
Particularly enjoyed the episode which contained Daniel’s adventure with the “Goat-guy.” I certainly “get” that he’s unsure if this was reality or a dream. This seemed to represent his “confronting” some important aspects of his life…like “wrestling with an angel, “after nearly twenty years of absence of human contact). I also liked the segment when the middle-aged blonde offered herself to him: touching! Clearly the blonde dude (his brother?) is not a nice guy…your standard “redneck” prejudiced, small-minded person, who abuses his young wife and is dramatically possessive of her….and cares more about appearances than his brother’s supporting himself..
Ray McKinnon (whom we remember from “Deadwood”) really has something winning in this series. I appreciate his storytelling and sensitivity.
You have me at a disadvantage, as I didn’t watch the mini-series, but it certainly has been getting rave reviews and Abigail Spencer just received a Critic’s Choice Award nomination for her role.
Nice to hear from you, Rueben. You seem a charming young woman. ; )
Thanks for the “young” part, but – truth be told – I’m not young; but I do appreciate that compliment.
