The new fall TV season is going to be back in just a little over two weeks and with that much-anticipated arrival comes a lot of new faces gracing the small screen as well as a welcome back to a handful of returning faces.

The following list is comprised of the more than a dozen new faces who will star in some of the most-buzzed-about new shows that are set to air this fall (they appear in alphabetical order by TV show):

Jessica DeGouw

Jessica DeGouw (Dracula on NBC) – This new NBC thriller will focus on the mysterious Dracula (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) who arrives in 19th century London as an American entrepreneur, who becomes infatuated with a woman who appears to be a reincarnation of his dead wife, Ilona. Jessica will play Mina Murray, the very woman in question. TV viewers will recognize this Australian actress from her role as Helena Bertinelli aka The Huntress on The CW hit series Arrow.

Brett Dalton, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Hentsridge and Chloe Bennet

Chloe Bennet, Brett Dalton, Iain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Hentsridge (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC) – Based on the legendary Marvel Universe security division, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will debut on ABC on September 24. The new team will include black ops specialist Agent Grant Ward (Dalton), weapons technology specialist Agent Leo Fitz (De Caestecker), life sciences specialist Agent Jemma Simmons (Henstridge) and computer hacker Skye (Bennet), working alongside Agent Phil Coulson (actor Clark Gregg) to figure out newly emerging superhumans in the world. Chloe previously appeared in Nashville; Brett appeared in the made-for-TV movie Killing Lincoln; British actor Iain appeared in the UK series The Fades and Elizabeth is a British relative newcomer.

Peter Gadiot and Sophie Lowe

Sophie Lowe and Peter Gadiot (Once Upon a Time in Wonderland on ABC) – This is, of course, the spin-off series to the ABC fairy tale drama Once Upon a Time that will focus on Alice in Wonderland. Brit Sophie will play Alice while Brit Peter will be the genie named Cyrus who Alice meets and falls in love with while in Wonderland. Sophie appeared in the Australian series The Slap while Peter is a relative newcomer.

Toby Regbo, Adelaide Kane and Torrance Coombs

Adelaide Kane, Toby Regbo and Torrance Coombs (Reign on The CW) – This period piece from The CW will focus on the teen years of Mary Queen of Scots and her betrothal to Prince Francis. Adelaide will play the lead role of Mary while Toby will play Prince Francis and Torrance will play Sebastian, the illegitimate son of Francis’ father the King of France. Adelaide has a recurring role on Teen Wolf; Toby appeared in the made-for-TV movie Treasure Island and Torrance has appeared in The Tudors and the Canadian series The Heartland.

Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie

Tom Mison and Nicole Behaire (Sleepy Hollow on FOX) – This FOX drama will be a new take on the Ichabod Crane story with the Headless Horseman being one of the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse and Crane being connected to him through a spell cast on him on the battlefield of the American Revolution. Tom will play the lead role while Nicole plays a member of the Sleepy Hollow Police Department. Tom appeared in the films Lost in Austen and the mini-series Parade’s End and Nicole appeared in the box office films 42 and Shame.

Megan Boone

Megan Boone (The Blacklist on NBC) – The NBC drama will focus on Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader), one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives, who surrenders in person at FBI headquarters, claiming that he will only speak with rookie FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen. Megan will play the lead role of Elizabeth Keen. She has appeared in the short-lived series Law & Order: LA.

Charles Michael Davis

Charles Michael Davis (The Originals on The CW) – This is a spin-off to The Vampire Diaries that will focus on the original family of vampires – the Mikaelson siblings – who return to New Orleans, the city that they help build where brother Klaus wants to take back his “throne” from his vampire protégé Marcel, who will be played by Charles. Charles has previously appeared in Switched at Birth and Grey’s Anatomy.

Robbie Amell and Luke Mitchell

Robbie Amell and Luke Mitchell (The Tomorrow People on The CW) – This series is a remake of the 1970’s UK series of the same name that focuses on a group of young people who possess powers as the result of human evolution. Robbie (cousin of Arrow star Stephen Amell) will play lead character Stephen Jameson and Luke plays John Young, both who have both of extraordinary powers like telekinesis, teleportation and telepathic communication. Robbie has previously been seen in Revenge and Alcatraz while Luke is best known for his role in the Australian soap Home and Away.

In addition to the new faces for the fall, there are some established actors who will be returning to TV. They appear in alphabetical order below:

Blair Underwood

Blair Underwood (Ironside on NBC) – This NBC series is loosely based on the classic 1960’s series of the same name focusing on Robert T. Ironside (Underwood), a wheelchair-bound police detective, who along with his hand-picked team, solve the most difficult cases. While Blair appeared in the short-lived dramas The Event and Dirty Sexy Money over the last few TV seasons, he is best known for his long-running role on L.A. Law.

Megan Follows

Megan Follows (Reign on The CW) – As mentioned above, Reign will focus on the life of teen-aged Mary Queen of Scots with Megan appearing as the reigning Queen of France, Catherine de Medici. Megan has been acting since was a child and is probably best known for her role of Anne Shirley in the Anne of Green Gables movies and more recently was seen in the mini-series World Without End.

Stuart Townsend

Stuart Townsend (Betrayal on ABC) – This ABC soap will focus on Sara, a photographer who begins an affair with Jack (Townsend), a lawyer for a powerful family in a story that revolves around a murder trial, pitting Jack and Sara’s husband against each other in court. Stuart starred in the Canadian TV series XIII as well as the short-lived series Night Stalker, but is probably best known for this movie roles in Queen of the Damned and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Toni Collette

Toni Collette (Hostages on CBS) – This new CBS drama will focus on the family of a doctor who will be doing surgery on the President of the United States who are taken hostage by a rogue FBI agent. Toni will play the lead role of the doctor. TV viewers will, of course, recognize the Australian actress for her role in the United States of Tara, but she is also known for her roles in The Sixth Sense, Little Miss Sunshine and Muriel’s Wedding.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers

Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Dracula on NBC) – As mentioned above, this new NBC thriller focuses on the legendary vampire, who arrives in 19th century London as an American entrepreneur, becoming infatuated with a woman who appears to be a reincarnation of his dead wife, Ilona. Jonathan will play the title role. He, of course, appeared in the period piece The Tudors, but he is also known for his roles in the indie box office hit Bend It Like Beckham, Mission Impossible III and the recently released The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.

James Spader

James Spader (The Blacklist on NBC) – As mentioned above, this new NBC drama will focus on Raymond “Red” Reddington, one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives, who surrenders in person at FBI headquarters, claiming that he will only speak with rookie FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen. Spader, who will play lead character Reddington, appeared in The Practice and its spin-off Boston Legal, but is probably best known for his role in the classic film Stargate as well as the recently released Lincoln epic.

Karl Urban

Karl Urban (Almost Human on FOX) – This new FOX futuristic drama follows the life of John Kennex, an LADP officer with a dislike for robots who ends up being teamed up with one with emotional feelings. Karl has appeared in box office films like Dredd, Star Trek, The Chronicles of Riddick and The Lord of the Rings, but he also appeared in episodes of Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.

So, there you have it: the new faces to look out for as the fall TV season starts as well as the returning stars to welcome back on the small screen.
